I got a sample of this. I really like the smell, the container, and the texture, but it just sat on my face and wouldn't absorb. It is a bit tacky. It doesn't leave my skin shiny which is a big problem I have so that is a major plus. I wouldn't ever buy it.

So... after being on the Advanced Revitalizing cream (brightening version) for few months, I decided to try more affordable options. I was on Clarins HydraQrench for a while and then on Clinique's Even Better moisturizer. However, I realized that nothing was effective on Alberta's (canada) winter. I decided to try this cream rather than the brightening formula because other than the moisturizing part I did not see any brightening benefits. However, I must say that my skin feels already amazing after the first couple of applications. Right now I am wearing this with Estee Lauder's Pore Refining Serum (Idealist) and with Fresh' Seaberry oil at night. It works well with both!

I had to change this review.
I had bought this moisturizer online and it worked wonders, my face looked great with no redness or sensitivity bumps.
When I was out I bought it at the store and I noticed a different smell/texture. Needless to say it didn't work well and made my skin irritated.
I think inbetween they must have changed the formula. I know the old one didn't say "creme" and this one did. I sadly haven't found the moisturizer of my dreams yet. : (

This is my HG moisturizer right now although I have oily t-zone. I actually have the equal love for this revitalizer and the other bio-performance restoring cream, they both plumped and made my skin super smooth that my pores became less visible. But this revitalizer I can use on daytime coz it's lighter and absorbs faster prior to applying makeup. My fine lines are less noticeable after 5 days of use ( in tandem with the super corrective serum) and my forehead seemed lifted! I so love it. My few blemishes were also lightened, which made me happier coz I don't have to repurchase White Lucent to lighten dark spots. This is way better than Benefiance WrinkleResist Cream which I used before. It is worth the price! I have zero regrets spending for something that works!

I am currently using the Shiseido line with this as my main moisturizer and so far, I am impressed. The cream glided on and was absorbed into my skin easily without a greasy after feel. It did not cause my makeup to slide off and kept my face quite moisturized in the harsh wintery weather as of late. The little scoop made it easier to hygienically use the product (not dipping your fingers into the container). However, the only off-putting factor was of course, the price at $92 to $118 CDN.
Update: Still liked this moisturizer, but I am taking a break from the Shiseido line due to the tight/dry feeling my facial skin is currently experiencing. Will retry again in the summer months. Currently on the Ponds cold cream and Estee Lauder regimen till then. Felt my skin sigh with relief.

I can safely say that this is one of my most favourite moisturisers I've ever used. It is very expensive but it last for a long time and that's why I'd prefer if the package was a bottle with a pump or something like that so the product wasn't so exposed to the environment. However, it works amazingly. It moisturises all day, it keeps my dry patches hydrated and it controls the oiliness on my t-zone and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. Also I use it at night and it plump my skin and brightens my complexion. The scent is light and pleasant and the product sinks into the skin very quickly. Basically, I can only say good things about this cream.

I got this as a sample and I didn't really know what it was supposed to revitalize so I just started using it on my cheeks. I am already a huge Shiseido fan anyway, so I figured this would be just as good as anything else that I have used. I love this stuff. As a matter of fact, I had been using the Benefiance Wrinkle Resist 24 hour day cream for $52 a 50ml jar, but I might just switch to this when I run out of that. I know the price is higher ($75) but I am absolutely in love with it. I definitely recommend this product to someone who has normal to dry skin. And it sinks in really well so doesn't leave you feeling all greasy.

The review is based on the deluxe sample (7ml/0.25oz).
It is a really good moisturiser. It has got a light flowery smell. The texture of the creme is much thicker than that of Japanese products. I massaged a small amount into my face. My face was soft and silky to the touch. It did not clog my pore or cause break-outs.

This is my HG moisturizer. I have been using this for over fifteen years. I have tried other moisturizers over the years, but nothing works as well as this one. I always come back to it because it works. I love the creme-gel texture which combats dryness without that greasy heavy feeling. It's so light on the skin. It make my very dry skin feel plump and hydrated. I used to buy the 1.7 oz size, but when they came out with the bigger 2.6 oz size I switched because it was a better value. I cannot say enough about this moisturizer and the great results I see are a testament to its effectiveness. I had to be very careful because my skin is extremely sensitive. I have had reactions to so many other products. But no problems with this moisturizer. There should be a Hall of Fame and this product should be there! I will be using this for life!

This is my HG moisturiser. I have been using it on and off for twenty years! It is so fabulous - I cannot praise it enough! I keep trying to find cheaper moisturisers and even tried a different expensive one for a while - but all are pointless and some even disastrous. On the other hand Bio Performance glides on, sinks into the skin well (but not too quickly), and moisturises and plumps up my skin beautifully. It even clarifies the texture. I have very sensitive cheeks and it does not irritate them at all. I just love it and am sticking with it - no forays to try to find an alternative....

This moisturizer worked for my dry spots during winter, however, I feel like it made me look older for some reason. I was using it consistently for a while and after looking in the mirror, I felt it added a year or two on my face. I might be wrong, but I will start using this again during winter when my face usually gets dry and see what happens. Also, this stuff irritated my eyes. It made them swell like crazy. I woke up with triple eyelids. Yikes! I'm also not crazy about the ingredient list. Still, I'm willing to give this another try, and when I do I will update this review.

I got this as a deluxe sample. But I know it costs $95 for 75ml, and $75 for 50ml. Quite expensive.
This moisturizer has a medium thickness yet goes on smoothly. Absorbs quickly into your skin and leaves it perfectly hydrated without feeling sticky. I only use a little bit at night and it's enough to cover the whole face already. I would say a little more than a pea size. When i wake up in the morning my face is still perfectly hydrated without a layer of oil. I haven't use it in the morning yet but if it doesn't leave your face oily over the night then I'll assume it will do fine during the day as well. Because you only need a small amount I believe a full size product will last for a long time.
I find the fragrance a little too...mature. I will purchase a full size when I use up my stockpile of moisturizer.

This moisturizer is great! It's a medium weight but I definitely feel hydrated no matter what time of year. I only use it at night.

My 40th birthday was last week and everyone at work still think I'm under 30....I have this cream to thanks. I have been using this product (only at night) exclusively for over 18 years. I have tried other creams (samples from gift sets, etc) but I have never switch. I used to buy the 1.7oz container, but ever since they came out with the 2.6oz size, I just buy that one as I think it's cheaper. The 2.6oz last about 6 months, but again, I'm only using it at night. So, $98 for 180 days = less than $0.55 a day, it's a bargain.

An amazing and HG moisturizer for this early 30's Asian with combination skin and a relatively even complexion. I have fine lines, larger pores in the T-zone, dry cheeks and a shiny nose. I returned to Shiseido after trying more "natural" lines like Caudelie and Mario Badescu with limited to no changes in my skin's uneven texture and lack of radiance, though Badescu was way better than Caudelie. In any case, Shiseido KILLS it. In the AM and PM, I use the Shiseido Hydro Nourishing Softener and dot a pearl-sized amount of the Revitalizer lotion on my cheeks, forehead, chin, and neck, and then pat whatever is left on my fingers on and around my nose. It is a richer, denser feeling lotion so takes longer to fully absorb, at least 10 minutes, but after one week (I am on week 2), my skin is touchably soft, the dry patches on my cheeks have disappeared, and my skin is glowing. It provides much needed moisture, not oil, which my skin just drinks up. I am so happy this product was suggested to me by the SA. It works wonderfully under my daily sunscreen and liquid foundation as well, as long as I let it absorb fully, and am left with radiant, dewy skin, not shiny or oily or dry! Please try a sample if you feel you have the same complexion as me. It is truly a miracle product and worth every penny!

This is a gorgeous, wonderful moisturizer! It makes me realize I should go back and revise my other moisturizer reviews and change them to "would not" buy again, because I don't want to ever use anything else than this. I have extremely dry skin from chemical peels and also from Accutane in High School. This cream is the perfect consistency. It is rich, but also, creamy enough to melt right in. My skin just drinks this in, and leaves my skin glowing. The smell is faint, but just calming and soothing. The jar is gorgeous. My skin is well-hydrated not only by the end of the day, but through the next day as well. I've tried CdlM, and to be honest, I'd buy this one over La Mer even if they costed the exact same. La Mer was TOO rich and stiff and wouldn't melt into my skin as wonderfully as this one.

I have been using Shiseido UV White moisturizer. Although my cheek area loves the UV White, it seems too light for around the height of my cheek bones. So I added this Revitalizer. I used my eye cream (have been using the same one for 10 yrs) around the immediate eye areas, then Revitalizer below that, then UV White for the rest of my cheeks. I like how moisturized my skin felt immediately. One application at night, and I woke up to a few dozen tiny whiteheads in that area. Luckily I got rid of the new whiteheads with a massage with a towel. A few days later, tried it again, whiteheads. Although I like the UV White, the Revitalizer is simply too rich for my combo skin. But I've used richer cream, and never gotten whitehads so fast and so many. Unless you have dry skin, try a sample of this before you buy a jar.

I first tried this when it first came out about 20 years ago. Last winter, when I purchase other Shiseido products, the sales told me about the 1.7 oz available with a bonus and if I want one, it has to be "booked". I gave her my credit card # and phone #, some 10 days later, I picked it up. The smell took me back to when I first used it. It is a light texture cream with good moisturizing quality. I would have used it more lavishly if it is half the price. With acid induced dry skin & the cold Canadian winter, I usually put it on 2 hours before going to bed, skin is usually satisfied & plumped. There is no fancy hype about polypeptide & such I used other serums underneath it.

This saved my skin. I never had dry skin until I graduated from school and began working in a climate-controlled office all day. My forehead felt rough looked weather-beaten and nothing helped until I tried this. I am now smooth and hydrated, and it didn't aggrevate or cause blemishes (I'm acne-prone). I regard this as the most hydrating cream on the market. I have been using it nightly for the past six months as both eye and face cream over a serum with antioxidants/exfoliants/etc.
