Hard for me to comment on the packaging quality as I got the purse size which was $2.50. But the price for the larger perfume seems reasonable. This isn't an awful or offensive fragrance, it's just not really me. It's too sweet for me, smells like baby powder with a lot of sweetness, but doesn't have that clean soapy smell I crave with powdery scents. Will not be buying a larger size of this one.

I tried this on, and the smell was quite strong. i did not think I would like this. But it dried down to a beautiful soapy floral! This is one of the most beautiful scents I have smelled in quite some time! Will purchase a full bottle of this soon!!!

Really surprised by all of the comments of ppl hating the smell. I really like the sweetness of the scent. It smells pleasant to me and will not overpower your clothes. It won't stay on all day but it does linger a little and has a nice vanilla, warm sugar smell (if you like that ). Very affordable.

First I bought the talcum powder. I loved it but the fragrance was so light so I upgraded to the mini perfume for 4 bucks. Loved it and couldn't believe that this is an Avon scent! I ended up buying the shower gel, body lotion and scented skin softener.
This perfume is wonderful and is a steal when it's on sale. The only thing that gives this fragrance away as an Avon scent is its short longevity. It goes on strong, but tones down very quickly.
The notes for this fragrance are orange, amber, sandalwood, gardenia, coconut, musk, violet, freesia, vanilla, osmanthus, peach, jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose. It is an ambery floral with fruit and powder tones. This is a very feminine bosomy perfume. If you like unisex or very muted scents, you will probably not appreciate it.
My new favourite!

I bought a set with the perfume, shower gel, body lotion, shimmer powder, and "skin softener" (which appears to be a lighter textured lotion with a heavier scent than the lotion) all for $13, so a good price. I really like the scent, but it doesn't seem to have lasting power on me. For $13 that doesn't bother me; I wouldn't pay full price. I put 'repurchase' but only if it came as a set. The bottle is cute but a little bit cheap looking. I rated this a 4 due to the fact that it is a nice inexpensive fragrance, not because it's the ~best ever~ or a 4/5 of all fragrances.

I used this perfume for years & loved it . It's like a fancy designer fragrance , but with a fraction of its price ..The reviewers here have done a great job describing how unique it is . Sadly, I cannot purchase again as it coincided with the most horrible period of my life :( ... Though , I strongly recommend it to young women who are in their 20 's and looking forward to make a statement in life , mature ladies would also love it ..But I don't think it can be popular amongst much younger ladies or teens ...

My fave scent :)
I love everything about this smell, it reminds me of being in the South of France - it really lives up to it's name.
Love the price as it's quite a fancy perfume without a fancy price.
Pretty bottle too - My fave part is the pink & black lid.
The only downside is it could last more on my skin.
Sprayed on pillows it lasts
all in all a good decent gorgeous product, I hope they never stop making this.

I love this fragrance. It has great staying power, it is warm and lovely especially in the winter months. Distinctive but I do not find it overpowering or too sweet. The price is very reasonable and it is often on special offer. The bottle is pretty enough. Others have described the notes of this fragrance better than I can, but overall, I just find this a lovely warm rich inviting perfume.

I recently rediscovered this scent while returning to Avon for other products I like. I bought the skin softener and just put a dab on my hands before work. While driving I kept going, "what is that smell?" I couldn't believe it was Far Away. It is so soft and warm. I love this scent!!

LOVE IT!!
A friend of mine was wearing this perfume one day and i instantly loved it, i asked her what it was and was actually quite surprised it came from avon. This is the first fragrance i have bought from avon and it's the best one i've ever bought from anywhere!
It has a warm smell to it, i dont know much about perfume smells so i couldnt say whether it is fruity or woody or whatever - but its gorgeous.
Makes me feel warm and i get many compliments when wearing it - really does make me feel far away...
The frangrance lasts for a very long time, i dont usually need to put on any more during the day and you dont need to put that much on in the morning either.
Far away reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent 'Cinema' - they are quite alike in terms of smell. But i would definately choose Far Away over Cinema though because of the massive price difference.
To get such a lovely fragrance for less than a tenner is amazing!
By far one of my favourite perfumes, a great signature fragrance - people are sure to remember you by it!
Overall; great smell for a great price - you can't go wrong.

I have a purse spray of this that I swapped for. It's a very sweet and powdery scent on me, but nothing too special. It's not the best sweet powder scent on me because the ratio of sweet to powder is unbalanced. Not for me.

I can picture myself wearing Far Away circa 1994, along with my floral babydoll dresses and floppy velvet hats. Far Away is one of the few older fragrances they still carry (I swear, these days their fragrances have a lifespan of about two months and I never buy them). It's really not bad - it's an ambery floral that's a bit on the strong side. Go easy!

Unfortunately, I have the 30ml version that doesn't come with the pretty bottle. It's probably more of a night time scent. I liked the smell on the page of the Avon brochure, but when I received the perfume I smelt what it was like when it's first sprayed on you and I was really grossed out by the smell of the top notes. The only way I can describe it is to compare it to a sickly sweet candy that I can't quite put my finger on. If you want a cheap fragrance from Avon that is actually good quality, stick with the Herve Leger, Fergie type celebrity perfumes that are very good value for a lovely smell that was lovingly created. Very unlike Far away.

My all time favorite fragrance from Avon!!! Since it was launched in 1996 my mom bought it and it was love at first sight and smell!!!! She bought one bottle for me and my sisters instead of using her bottle! Since that it is with me over and over again, is a lovely, romantic, feminine, sweety floral fragrance! In my opinion smells high end! Is so sweet that everytime i sniff my bottle i fell in love with it, is one of my 3 top fragrance with lancome's tresor, and Givenchy hot couture!!! Not perfect for everyday use, cuz is sweet and a little overpowering, perfect for night out or a date! 3 sprays and u r done, a little goes a long way! Last several hours even in clothes much more! Love the bottle design looks cute!!! If u r into floral, fruity, sweet type of fragrances take a look of this! More special on winter or cold season! 5 stars Avon!!!!

Mmmmmmmm. I love everything about this scent...so much that I own it in the perfume, lotion, skin softener, shower gel and purse spray. It's very feminine and soft. Not too strong, not too weak. For only being $20 it smells like a more high end scent. One of my favorites!

I have always overlooked this thinking it would be the usual cheap generic sort of smelling avon perfume, however I was wrong. I have asked a friend several times what scent she was wearing and it was this. It is incredibly similar to JPG Classique but without the predominant chemical note which appears on me. This is often very cheaply priced and I might just have to buy a bottle soon. I bought the rollerball purse concentrate but it isn't the same

I love avon products and have purchased them for years but this is one scent that I always overlooked. I was at the grocery store a few months ago and smelled a divine scent on a lady that walked by. I couldn't resist asking her what she was wearing and she happily told me it was Avon's far away. I decided that I needed to get a bottle of this next time it was on sale and I did a few weeks ago for $10. I *love* this and so does my husband. He thought that it was Amber Romance by Victoria Secret, another scent that he really likes and everytime I wear this he comments on it. This is a powdery, amber scent that can be strong if it's over applied but in moderation it's so warm and cozy. I love this and will continue to purchase it.
