Sweet Honey...a rosy brown neutral. A great color to have in your handbag for a quick touch of polish. The color very strongly reminds me of Revlon's sadly d'cd CB in Soft Rose and all its dupes. There is no real fragrance, the formula is soft and fairly moisturizing. It wears off exceptionally well, leaving behind a slight stain on the lips that looks very natural. I would definitely recommend it, particularly for green eyes and olive skin.

This is my HG lipstick. Its very reliable, a real go-to in my handbag. It is the one lipstick that matches my lips perfectly and evens them out.
Pros: VERY moisturising can be used straight onto chapped ugly lips and instantly makes them look perfect. Great little container and the silver makes it easy to find in the bottom of a handbag. I use this alot and its lasted a long time (read: months and months, one at the bottom of my bag has been there 2 years and its still applying beautifully). It looks like a really yuck dark colour but once applied its sheer and beautiful.
Cons: If applied to heavily its too much for me...
Verdict: HG for life.

I have a yes/no relationship with this shade. Sometimes I wear it and love it and other times I am just so-so. In general thought I think it is a good lippie staple and will probably buy it again. I am completely fickle when it comes to lipstick and even so, this is the only lipstick I took on vacation this year so that says something. I love the formulation and have bought other colors in this line. I think Clinique is great for lipstick that is well-priced and good quality.

Sweet Honey, I love thee, let me count the ways... or something like that. Oddly enough, I love Clinique lipsticks, but I rarely buy them- this one I received in a swap. I'm super pale, and not in that pretty milky way, but in that chalky death tone way if I don't wear the right makeup. It's always difficult to find a lipstick that either doesn't make me look like a death mask or like I'm wearing clown makeup. I love the Clinique lipsticks because they always go on so smooth, and don't dry out my lips. This one is no exception, but it has the added bonus of being the perfect color for my skintone. Appropriate for work or any other daytime event, Sweet Honey is great. I'd say I'd buy again but I'll probably gain another in a swap later on.

My HG lipstick - it's a go-to for me for daywear, looks good with every makeup style since it's fairly neutral. Good consistency on the lips, however I have found it melts a little too easily in warm weather (in the tube). I've gone through 4-5 tubes in the past 10 years, and I almost never repeat-buy anything. It's just the right balance of neutral pink with a teeny bit of mauve to keep it coolish. I find it's not bold enough for nighttime, though. The worst part about this product is having to go to the clinique counter- their SAs are the worst.

Great color and moisturizing formula. I'm not the biggest fan of Clinique, but this is the perfect fleshy pink for my coloring. My gripes are mostly related to some of the ingredients, but for a basic lipstick I quite like it.

This is a gorgeous color - too bad it lasts about ten minutes. I'm surprised Clinique would make such an inferior product. Very disappointing.

I bought this when I was looking for my HG lip products. Sadly, this didn't make the cut but it's still a relatively good lipstick. "Sweet Honey" is a medium pink on me with warm undertones (my lips are a bit pigmented). It's a very good solid colour that matches with anything and can be used for all seasons. Very wearable and simple colour. The formula is great compared to a lot of other lipsticks I've tried (and I have tried a lot of lipsticks). The packaging is Clinique's plain silver tube- like a lot of Clinique's other packaging, it's simple and to the point but I don't mind because then I'm not paying for packaging but product.
I've been trying to pare down my lippie collection and passed this over to my sister. It looks great on her too and we have different skintones.

Sweet Honey is a beautiful, rosy pink nude color. It looks so lady like and is a great everyday color. It is moisturizing and glides on very smoothly.

Another beautiful MLBB lippie from Clinique - a warm, soft beautiful nude-y pink. So pretty and so subtle. All the things I love about Clinique's lipsticks and why I've worn them for over 15 years. When I want dramatic color, I go to MAC, but this is just perfect for me for everyday. It looks pretty, polished and professional. I always have at least one tube of this on hand and will continue to re-purchase.

This was my very first lipstick. I had purchased it in my early twenties - I did not wear any makeup in my teens. It is a very natural and innocent looking colour, I guess that's why I chose it as a makeup virgin. Overall, it was an OK lipstick. It had a very natural look, sheer and slightly glossy in a nice warm/neutral beige pink. I did not like the way it wore, though, it left a whitish edge where my lips meet.

UPDATE (2012-02-17): BOYCOTTING RE. CURRENT ANIMAL TESTING FOR CHINESE MARKET

Like the other Differents, Sweet Honey (96) is sheer, smooth, and moisturising; one step more solid and lasting than the Butter Shines, like them, the Differents try to be a hybrid of lipstick, gloss, and balm. Without being dry, sticky, or having absolutely zero lasting power. Good range of human-compatible shades. No flavour or scent, well-tested on humans for sensitivity issues, and cruelty-free.

Thanks to Lizzy28's notepad for putting me on to this shade. I'd agree completely with the previous reviewer, crumpet71: "neutral with a hint of pink." It is basically the same shade and depth of tone as my own mouth, a light rose-pink. Warm but not peachy, let alone coral to orange. A little rosewood-brown. Slight mauve undertone, to work with that tricky blue-lilac tone in pale skin. A very little shine, but otherwise quite matte on me. Looks like I'm not wearing any lippie; indeed, sometimes a touch paler than natural lip. That's my only peeve: and hence preference for two others lipsticks, that have 5 lippie status. But I wouldn't throw my sweet honey out of bed.

For reference: Pale cool-toned skin, a few freckles, grey-green eyes, red hair. Ideally, looking for a rose but with some cool mauve-lilac and a slight beige/brown to it, that's the same tone and a smidge more depth than natural lip. The classic tweaked-nipple tone, or approximately matching the inner side of one's lower lip (the latter being easier to check in a shop).

Other regulars: Different in Shy: same shade - on me anyway - as the beautiful Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, but in the nicer Different formula (moister, longer-lasting); both are the same tone as natural lip but a teeny bit deeper, and slightly plummy. Also currently loving Lipstick Queen Medieval (a more reddy-pink). Of the other Differents, there are other "Gingerrama Near Misses" that might be useful to other PPPs: Tenderheart (92) is more brown, Rose Aglow (A6) is more pink/red and a little darker, Rose Taffy (A2) is more pink. In the Buttershines - moisturising too, more glossy - Berry Blush and Adore U work well too.

Costs EUR 19.00 (*sigh*), USD 14.00, GBP 12.00.

Very pretty, soft, easy to wear neutral with a hint of pink. Regular 'nudes' look too muddy on me but this has enough pink to keep it lively and sweet. Very natural looking with moderate shine. Easy to apply without a mirror. staying power isn't the best but that's true for most creamy moisturizing lipsticks.

Has become my favourite. The colour is just right for me and lasts well. I use it over a neutral/pinky/brown lipliner. I didn't wear it for ages when I first got it in a freebie gift, as I thought it was too pale - but maybe my skintone has changed, or it benefits from the lipliner underneath. Great texture and it takes ages to use up the tube.

This is a nice color on me (NW15, more like NW20 this summer), a dusty brick-roseish. I still have one from the original packaging, the classic Clinique tubes, green with silver band. The cap is a little loose on mine but I don't think that's true for all of them. So-so staying power, scent is fine, but I most of all love the color. In my case, they're a YLBB with a bit of shimmer - lovely color. I've gotten great comments and recommended it to a few friends & acquaintances. Will repurchase.

This was the first lipstick I (probably ever) used up! And I have re-purchased it several times. A beautiful natural red-ish neutral color - your lips but better. It's a bit too warm for my cool-toned ppp complexion but if my skin is a bit tanned (self-tanner!) and I use warm-colored eye shadows etc then it's perfect.
Not drying at all. The staying power is not very impressive but I don't mind re-applying. It leaves a bit of a brick-colored stain on my lips as it wears off though, not very pretty. So I prefer to take it off completely before re-applying.
Will definitely buy it again.

It has been my favorite lipstick for years, have tried many pressed powders, foundations, mascaras, etc. but sweet honey is always in my make up box. Personally I avoid any lipstick formulas that feel either too creamy or too dry. This one is right in the middle, feels smooth and creamy yet light. Shade looks natural, fresh and works great with my skin. Will continue buying this one as long as Clinique keeps it in the market!

As a product: The Different Lipstick formula isn't truly all that different. It is moisturizing, but for the most part is very similar to other brands of lipstick. Lasting power is good, and it feels soft on lips. Retails around $14 and comes in a ribbed silver tube which chips easily.

As a color: Sweet Honey is a lovely true neutral YLBB rosy pink. It is free of shimmer and glitter, and packs a little shine and lots of color onto my semi-pigmented lips. Very flattering on my NC20 skin.

As a whole: Highly recommend; perfect price, silky feel, flattering and not overpowering color, and one tube lasts forever.

Complementary products: Looks great with a glittery platinum eyeshadow (i.e. MAC retrospeck or Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy Rides Again) and a sheer pink-rose-plum blush (i.e. NARS outlaw)
