This is one of my favourite, sweet perfumes! I am a big fan of both vanilla and banana, so this is right up my alley. I like to apply it to the insides of my elbows, my wrists, my chest/neck, and a light misting into my hair (sounds like a lot, but these are tiny sprays!). The scent is very subtle and light - it lasts well into the day. I find that it clings especially well to my hair and to my clothing. My body chemistry works well with this scent - it definitely fades more into a vanilla but a very lovely one. Bonus - this is one of my fiancée's favourite perfumes on me - he knows that when I wear, it's usually business time! Ha! ;)
My one gripe is that my latest bottle has a bit of a dud nozzle/spray top. It works well about 65% of the time, though - other times I just need to be a bit patient with it!
Will continue to repurchase!

First I received a complimentary sample of it from luckyscent with my purchase (like 2 years ago). I was thrilled because: since I was a child, I LOVE bananas and anything banana-flavored is adored by me. I just never even thought of banana-scented perfume until I received my CsP sample from luckyscent. When I tried my sample the first thing I thought... it just smells sooo banana!!! Then I thought to myself, there are so many other tropical-scented bath and body/fragrance products... like coconut, mango, guava... why not my favorite of them all, banana? So I purchased my first bottle of this... I was wondering how it does when it's sprayed on my skin... and It does really well! I love it! I'm on my second bottle now, but let me just tell You how it works on my skin. Today I applied it at 6 o'clock in the morning. First I got a banana-milkshake whiff of it. Then it quickly developed into this creamy, milky, banana fragrance, with just a hit of orange... It's about 9:30am right now, and I can still smell it really well. It's definitely more vanilla now, with a touch of banana. I'm lovin it very much, very yummi. One thing I have to say, if You're not banana lover. DO NOT buy this product. But someone like me, a huge banana fan, will enjoy this very much!!!

This smells exactly like a homemade banana smoothie. It’s so mouthwatering and realistic that it makes me want to lick my own skin.
Once the banana fades (and it does fade in about 15 minutes, give or take), you'll be left with a powdery vanilla like Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace.
The steel can is the sort of container you'd expect of a hairstyling mousse, not a perfume, but if you can get past that, this fragrance would be worth having, if only because it's so yummy and lighthearted.

This is my C A N D Y fix. As a banana-hater, loving this fragrance confirms that it is actually about vanilla. Admittedly, the creamy custard opening may have a single banana slice on top, but there is absolutely none of that Friday's-half-eaten-banana-found-Monday stench I loathe. One lippie off for floating away fom me so quickly, and another for not having adjusted the price accordingly.

Smells very similar to Vanille Abricot, only with a banana scent. Very sweet. Not quite ast strong as the Vanille Abricot in my opinion. It has an over-ripe banana and vanilla scent. Not bad, just can't really wear it to work and such. Good beach fragrance. Reminds me of suntan lotion.

I really don't like this CSP fragrance. Although the banana eventually fades away and all you're left with is vanilla, I think the banana in the opening is too strong. It reminds me of banana laffy taffy which is not what I want to smell like. I love CSP but this is one of my least favorites.

Smells wonderful at first, but if you have tricky chemistry (like me) you are left with a typical musky, sandalwoody/nothing-like-vanilla-or-banana smell after a few minutes. Not unpleasant but not what I wanted. I really wanted this one to work and it didn't!

Chemistry , Chemistry, Chemistry...it all comes down to body chemistry.
Alot of people claimd this smells like Bananas and cream...vanilla with sweet banana but on me it came out like SUNBLOCK!!! VERY "beachy" scent; as if I srtolled off a tropical resort's beach and went straight to dinner without washign off my sunblock. Its not a bad scent, just not perfumey at all.
I even tried layering it over a coconut one I have and that just made it pure Hawaiian tropic lol. Fun maybe for vacation but defiently not an everyday scent for me.
The other bad news: like so many other CSP scents, it has very little staying power!!! And for the price it should LAST!!! I got this in a swap but not a keeper for me. I've worn it twice and just can't love it.
For the staying power you're better off with
DEMETER BANANA FLAMBEE. It's a cologne spray so doesn't last that long but it is about the same amount of time as this one and MUCH cheaper-you can get it for as low as $10 for 4 ounces.

According to Sephora, first fragrance note is orange. Whaa?
I don't know where is the orange but its nowhere to be found(or smelled). It smells like banana cream to me. After first hour or so, banana dissapears and I can only smell vanilla. This is fairly subtle so even if you spray few times noone will run out the room screaming. I sprayed only once on my wrist and could still detect vanilla/banana aroma gently waffing from my wrist. As the other reviewers have noted, this is a linear fragrance, with nothing complex about it. None the less I did like it.I think I would like to add this perfume to my rotation but not sure if I'm willing to pay outrageous price for that ugly metal can. My coworker told me I smelled like banana cream pie which is just fine with me!

A little over the top at first but dries down into a fun yummy scent. Banana is not often used in fragrance design but this is done about as well - and as fun - as one could hope for!

This smells amazing, like tempura bananas with dollops of coconut ice cream! Omg so dessert like, the first blast is nauseatingly sweet, but wait 15 minutes and you have this heavenly scent. There is a vanilla and sun tan lotion note, avoiding sugar over load territory. Well blended with a beautiful dry down, the only problem is makes me long for warm beaches. My only criticism is that it's one dimensional, I tend to like perfumes that change subtlety on me.

From CSP: "A delicious combination of ripe and juicy fruits with tropical flowers resting on a comfortable background of sandalwood and musk."
I like the bananas foster dessert concept, but it just smelled like ripe banana to me. Not worth the expense!

Oh my! What a delicious fragrance. I don't really notice the banana in this. On me it smells like caramel and vanilla, with a really subtle hint of banana. I wish it would last longer though. I will definantly buy this again.

I am a CSP addict, and have been for several years. I am torn as to whether I like this or Vanille Coco better (I am also a big fan of Amour de Cacao during the winter). I am almost leaning toward this--at least I am this week, anyway. I know that many complain about the staying power, but people ask me what I'm wearing (well, more precisely, people start sniffing the air in whatever room I'm in and ask what smells so delicious) many hours after I have sprayed it. I find that a squirt or two in my hair does the trick. Seriously, I receive so many compliments on my CSP fragrances that I can't imagine going without or ever changing to another brand. These fragrances are much richer, in my opinion, than any BB&B-type product--and certainly much more sophisticated. Although I do notice the banana note at first, the dry-down (as other reviewers have stated) is lovely; unlike Vanille Coco, which has a very discernable coconut note even after dry-down (on me, anyway), I don't think the banana note is recognizable as banana so much (which is probably a good thing, because I don't need to smell like banana Laffy Taffy!), but rather something like a complex vanilla something or other. Anyway, I love this fragrance, and will buy it again and again.

I love CSP. I went through 2 bottles of Vanille Coco and 1 bottle of Amour de Cacao. People always look around for the source of the heavenly smell and ask where are the cookies. Yum!
Obviously, I was curious to try the Vanille Banane. At first it smells very truly of banana cream, albeit too sweet. I never thought I'd say a fragrance is too sweet given my love for Pink Sugar but there it is. Perhaps this is because Pink Sugar is not just a sweet fragrance, it has a lot more going on than just sweetness while I can't say the same about Vanille Banane.
It then dries down to a gentler but still too simple sweet smell of bananas with vanilla. This is a very linear scent, more of a shampoo or a shower gel quality. Also, the staying power is mediocre, just a couple of hours at most.

YummY!
I smell like candy. I love this scent. I'm not a big banana person, but I love this scent.
At first it smells a bit like banana runts, which is a little much, but then the vanilla kicks in and makes me smell sweet and tropical. I layer this with pink sugar to increase the staying power.
Only problem is I smell so sweet now it's kicking in sugar cravings I haven't had in a long time.
Why must I be so delicious?

Like so many others, I really wanted to like this scent since I am a big CSP fan. The bad news: whenever I first put it on, the banana smell is so overwhelming, that it's almost nauseating and I'm embarrased to be around anyone because I smell strongly like mushed banana baby food. The good news: when it finally dries down, the scent is absolutely GORGEOUS and I love it! But, the other bad news: like so many other CSP scents, it has very little staying power and, if I re-apply, I have to go through the yucky over-ripe banana phase again. Overall, a big disappointment!

Another CSP fragrance I wanted to love. I wore this for a few weeks and had to take the bottle back. I don't know what it is about these fragrances, but I never can smell anything but the vanilla after about an hour of putting it on. I love vanilla, but it gets more and more intense every waking hour. I was in Barnes and Noble the other day with this on and I had to keep going to another section trying to get away from this smell of an invisible annoying teen girl, when I realized that it was me. I think I'll go back to my old lady perfumes.

I was suprised by how much I liked vanille banane. It brings back happy memories, because it reminds me of a trip my husband and I took to Costa Rica. I can't really explain why. It is not a natural banana smell. It is artificial like banana flavored candy, but still very pleasant. I especially like it layered with comptoir sud pacidique vanille cannelle. They smell like a banana spice cake when mixed.
