It is soft, modern, feminine, chic, sophisticated, complex, masterfully balanced. This is the best summer fragance. So unique, green and fresh. Doesn't get mixed in the crowd, it definitely has a personality of it's own. It's become one of my signature frangances. Only con it doesn't last long on my skin but still LOVE IT !!!

Great spring/summer scent. Received this as a sample and rushed to buy the 1-ounce bottle (about $50 at Sephora). Would definitely buy again but might try to find it cheaper online.

So I bought this because I did not want to join the D and G Light Blue bandwagon, and Versense is not bad. Other reviews have the complete scent profile, but generally the notes include citruses, cardamom, lily, fig, musk, and olive wood. When first sprayed, it is like Sprite , only in perfume form. Then the fig becomes more apparent, along with the musk and olive wood, sweetening it. While this is not an overly girly citrus scent, like Coach Poppy Flower, it is a little too figgy sweet to be considered a unisex perfume. The dry down is a rather boring sweet woody, musk smell—not very memorable at all. I agree that the sillage is unremarkable, but longevity is good. It remains on my skin for some ten hours, longer on clothes. Though I like it well enough, I would not buy again because I think there are better citruses out there. I may just have to cough up the money for Light Blue since I like my perfumes to have an aquatic sort of quality to them if they are not gourmonds. That said, if you like spicy, citrus florals, Versense would be great, with BBW White Citrus being a great way to layer. I did not say anything about the price because I bought my Versense from Fragrance Outlet, so it was ridiculously inexpensive, though I believe the mall sells a 3.4 EDT for around $80. Overall, okay to good but not great.

Just grass and green lemon tea for me.
Light and fresh but nothing particularly attractive- it's not even feminine, mostly unisex. I wouldn't find it unpleasant on someone else, but it's not appealing to me. Sillage is poor, longevity much better.

The look and smell remind me of sprite with a kick :) It's just the ultimate refreshing fragrance (with zero staying power :(

Received this in a swap and really wanted to like this perfume, but alas, it's not for me. When you first spray it, it's a nice citrus-y, lemony, limey fresh burst and pretty much stays that way on the skin. Light, pretty, and non-offensive. Unfortunately, it triggered a headache for me. I tried it twice just to make sure that was what caused it. Dang. It kind of reminds me of a freshly opened can of 7up...and clean soap.

Versense is very modern, feminine, and light. It's classified as woody floral musk, but with such energy and vitality. Nothing about this scent is languid, sweet, or thick. Each layer is light, understated, and blends seamlessly with the one before it. It begins with top notes of Mediterranean fruits-bergamot, green mandarin orange, and fig. I smelled freshly grated lime peel, mixed with sour oranges. The fig sweetens the bergamot and green mandarin slightly, but not enough to be fully detected. It's a fresh, happy smell that makes you just want to go somewhere, anywhere with air and sunlight and laughing people. The fruits gradually blend into the floral heart of watery sea lily, with further adds a clean, fresh effect, jasmine, and bitter cardamom. I like that combination; the bitterness of the cardamom counteracts the sweetness of the jasmine without ruining its softness, while the aquatic element of the lily gives you an image of deep blue Mediterranean water.
What I think I like best about Versense is the base. Or mainly, the absence of the base. I don't know how they crafted it, but all the way to the drydown I smelled the citrus and the flowers. The woody base of olive wood, Virginia cedar, sandalwood, and musk was so delicate and subtle, serving only to strenghten the lighter notes above it.
Versense is optimism, bottled. I'm going to be wearing this one straight through summer.

Very bright, fresh and modern. To me, it smells of citrus that is quite sharp in the beginning but mellows out slightly sweeter as it dries down on my skin. Has green notes, woods and sandalwood in the dry-down that almost smells a bit too masculine for me. This could easily be a unisex fragrance in my opinion. Not a "girly" citrus scent if that's what your looking for.

My first thought when I sprayed this on me was: Chanel Eau Fraiche-they are very similar! They both have the citrus opening, the wet flowers and the aquatic feel but Versence does not have the strange drydown that the Chanel has on my skin. It is a a nice summer fragrance, suitable for daywear/office, but nothing special IMO. I would not purchase a full bottle, as it is also not particulartly long-lasting.

This smells very similar to Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue fragrance, though I like Versense better. It's super sunny and citrusy, though when it dries down it turns a little sexier. Great for summer nights, and for some reason, makes me hanker for a glass of white wine.

Even though I have more or less 20 bottles of perfume, this is my first Versace. I love the fresh citrus wit some floral scent combined that is quite unique. Perfume preference is very individual, so you must really put it on and judge how the scent works on you. Having said that, this is one of my personal favorite in the collection. Its biggest cons is the staying power, only last for like 2 hours. The remaining scent after that is just like some alcohol cologne!!!

Loved this fragrance at first, then thought it a little too lemony/limey...so opted for Versace Signature again (classic,LOVE IT).....but gave Versense another chance and love it, AGAIN. At first, it does smell a little like a margarita (less the tequila) ...but after a few minutes, it's more citrusy and fresh and sheer. I wish it lasted longer, but have found B&BW White Citrus a nice and cheap supplemental body spray with this EDT

Yummy! Top notes smell like lemon and limes, very fresh and crisp. It has an expensive scent to it, similar to the original Versace, but is less floral.....almost like a man's cologne, just because it is not sweet, but I think it smells a bit like one of those unisex fragrances. I wish the dry down smelled as good.....it loses a bit of the yummy lime freshness and smells more like the dry down of the original Versace. Still would re-purchase, though. Love the bottle, very classy-looking.

Based on the notes, I wanted to love this. It ended up being a migraine inducer. The opening notes resemble Pledge and then they morph into a hot humid lily, hence the migraine inducer. This fragrance sounds lovely in the press release and I hope others enjoy it more than my chemistry did!

I would like to say first off Versace is very well known designer and many might agree for a good reason, he knows how to design good clothes Handbags and such, so here comes the Versace Versense a fragrance, so who really designs these? a group of people or just one lap scientist that says this is it! my fragrance!,I think its a combination of different scientist that come up with the wonderful work of perfume.Ok so about this fresh, green, yet delicate clean fragrance; it reminds me of a chilled evening that the sea yields after a long day in the sun. It is the complete comprised of all that is abraded beauty, a scent that captures freshness with a tinged of musk.Certainly can be worn for day or evening since it holds its lasting power in either occasion.

Yummm I love fruity citrus scented products. This reminds me of freshly cut lemons and limes. It's sososo good. I find it a bit hard to spray from the bottle but could just be mine? Anyway I love to wear this in summer, is such a fresh smell it just feels so right for this time of year.

So in my holy grail quest for finding a suitable perfume for summer I stumbled with Versense at Sephora right about when it was launched and quickly got over it! But a year later I stumbled again and because I am very picky and at that time lacking any perfume I bought this. And boy oh boy what a good thing I did because I LOVE IT!
It's fresh(I hate this word but, it is) lemon but not obtrusive, soapy musky and a light white floral all wrapped in a light balmy woodsy aroma. It's lasts moderately up to 4-5 hours and considering it is an EDT it's enough for me. Since I bought it for spring-summer time I am more than satisfied with the lasting power!

I bought this scent un-sniffed because it was in combination with another great scent I wanted (Ebay) and was pleasantly surprised :) I am usually not a fresh or grassy scent kinda girl so I had to let this 'simmer' on me for a while. Hmm, I dont hate it, but I dont yet love it either. This is great for summer here in Atlanta when its hot and humid and you just want to smell nice without it being in someone face (or nose). I sprayed it this morning and its not that noticable anymore now so I might give it a little respritz and see how I like it tonight. I think I will reach for this a few more times and then decide if its a re purchase. It's a really nice and clean scent tho, perfect for summer :
UPDATE: After a few more days of using this and a ton of compliments, this is now my hot weather go to fragrance! Refreshing but classy, this is a must try!

I received this as a birthday gift and now I'm obligated to keep it. I always find with perfume you either love it or hate it, a perfume will always smell fantastic and it is actually up to the individual to appreciate the scent or not, and I unfortunately did not appreciate this. The scent is just not for me.

OK. This is a very subjective review for this fragrance as I am a mad Versace fan and I hardly can say sompthing negative from the brand! (You must feel and see the spring summer collection 2010) I wanted the first dress on the runway showed by Abbey Lee, but It was sold out... :-( (see second picture on my profile) Instead I bought some other things and this fragrance. The previous reviewer is so right when she's telling that this is a lott less common then Davidoff Cool water. This one is less sweaty, more alluring and so so so very Versace! Very synthetic first notes, but It fitts a cocktail, sand and a stunning short dress at a chic party. LOVE IT! You must understand the philosophy from the brand and the purpose to really enjoy its freshness. It's a light, lemony fragrance,... It stays (objective!!!) long on the skin! Will buy again for sure for summer 2010! My signature scent for summer evenings...
