This looks beautiful on my NC15 skin (blue eyes, dark hair). It adds a little bit of drama without making me look like a vampire. The tingly sensation you get with it is nice (and reminds me not to smush it!)

I really like this lipgloss, and the only reason I am not giving it a "5" is because the color is darker and more pigmented than I normally wear on day-to-day occasions so I am not using it all the time. It is more dramatic, for a "pop" of color or an evening look. I found that this full color Buxom Lips gloss has even more lasting power than some of the sheerer color and almost lingers longer, like a stain. Vanessa is a medium to deep berry/wine color that is definitely on the cooler, more purpley red side... I can still pull it off though, because of the olive tones in my NC30/C3 skin. Same great Buxom lips taste and cooling effect. Maybe they plump your lips for something like 5 minutes but not enough to have any lasting effect, unless it's "just applied." I don't mind though. I have thin lips, I know it, and I deal with it.

This really is liquid lipstick. I'm hoping to purchase more of the full color line of Buxom, as I love the pigmentation. This is a GORGEOUS rose red that looks amazing and has staying power. Another victory for Buxom :)

I really only have good things to say about this. The box it comes in is really cute. The gloss itself is gorgeous and very pigmented. I get the same color on my lips as the color in the tube. The Buxom Lips glosses leave lips with a minty tingle that lasts about 2 hrs on me. The glosses themselves wear for quite a bit longer, and these are the longest lasting/ best wearing glosses I have ever used. I'm so hooked on these. "Betsy" is great too!

Wow...this is SUPER pigmented. Totally opaque. I only have to apply a little to get a really nice deep burgundy rose color that has hints of gold. Super staying power too and the color eventually fades to a lovely dark cherry stained look on my lips which I love. Lips do look a bit fuller but I think the glossiness of the product is more a contribuiting facotr than anything else.

I was iffy about this color in the store. When I put it on with coordinate face and eye colors and a liner, it made the difference! It is gorgeous and I've gotten so many compliments on it, even from men.

Vanessa is my first Buxom gloss, and I love it! The color is amazing next to my cool toned, fair skin. It has great staying power, which is nice because reapplying lip color often is a royal pain! I wouldn't say this makes my lips look fuller, though, and the cooling sensation is somewhat annoying, especially since winter is well on its way. I received this tube for free, but I would consider buying a new one when this one runs out.

I like a simple make-up routine & love the ease of glosses and polishes versus the whole lip liner/lipstick routine. I was looking for a great going-out type lip color that gives a deep rose color, shine, and easy to apply. I found it in this. Note this is a LIP *POLISH*, NOT lip gloss. This is like a liquid lipstick. May not be for you if you're looking for something sheer and light.
PRO'S:
1) Color is exactly what I was looking for -goes well w/ my Asian skin w/ light yellow-golden tone and the rest of my simple make-up look (I just put on foundation and eyeliner)
2) Long-lasting but not too drying
3) Buildable (use a light hand and apply to bottom lip and blot lips together for more subtle color).
4) Price is pretty good too considering the sizable amount you get at 0.15oz.
CON:
1) Packaging - when you close the top/wand, there's a little seeping of product and I have to wipe it off w/ a little tissue or else will get all over the inside of my makeup bag! Otherwise, love this product and would repurchase.

I am not usually a lipgloss girl...It just annoys me to reapply it over and over, with little color payoff, and most lipglosses are so sticky. BE Buxom lipgloss lasts SO LONG and this color in particular is just a gorgeous pigmented red...Great for night time. My lips feel so great with this on. It's just love :)

This is the only BE product that I endorse hands-down. I wear the buxom lip gloss or full color gloss almost every single day. This is a pretty color especially if you keep the rest of your makeup toned down.

I loved this at Sephora, but it looks horrible on me in natural lighting. It plumps well enough & has decent pigmentation, just wish the color was more flattering.

Love everything about this.I've been looking for a looong time for something quick, simple to use that's a gloss but gives COLOR (NOT sheer)...particularly a MAGENTA PINK-REDISH color in which the intensity can be adjusted simply with a blot or a couple extra strokes. I blot more when I wear this to work. And I build it up for night time wear. I'm not a lipstick/lip pencil gal. This BE product is moisturizing and makes your lips look full with color and shine. And easy to use.
UPDATE: Used up this product and though I love the color and staying power...won't buy again because of the packaging...product seeps out.

Maybe I have overly sensitive lips but this lip color was SO uncomfortable. It didn't just give my lips a tingle, it made my lips burn. Even my slightly stuffy nose was clear after a few minutes with this on. I will say that the color was very nice as well as the shine it imparted. I ended up wiping it off my lips after about 30 minutes. Just beware if you have lips that are irritated easily.

This is beautiful. Whenever I go out with the girls for girls night...this gets passed around. I am always asked to whip out the "magic lipstick" when i get there. It looks great on all of us (6 girls age 33 to 40). I highly recommend this for a red lipstick...doesn't need to be layered with anything. Perfect !

This is a luscious rich red. fabulous and shiny, long lasting, thick and creamy, love the little brush applicator, the tingle, the taste ( sweet) . It leaves a tint of a stain.I just bought my second tube. I completely love it, and it works with my dark brown henna high lit hair, copper brown eyes and fair skin. Oh, and I noticed with the second tube I just bought tonight, the brush is teenier and more pointy, which actually I like even more, it makes it really easy to line my lips without having to use a liner.
I am telling you, this is amazing gloss, more like a lipstick really.

Reddish pink brownish gold shiny lipgloss that wears like a lipstick and lasts even longer. Slight tingle did plump my lips. I don't need that really, but it's cold outside so the warmth felt good. Large amount for the packaging. Only worth the money $18 if you really love it and use the whole thing. Great for darker skinned gals.May be a little garrish if you re pale. But with one blot it tones down very nicely. Definately a repurchaser!

I received two samples of this product in two different colors and I love both of them. The gloss is absolutely gorgeous and glides on smoothly. This is definiitely one of the better lip glosses on the market. As far as pout, I did not see any improvement, but for the price, the color, texture and clarity of this product is top notch.

These glosses, which are really more like liquid lipsticks, are my alternative to the dark lips trend. I love these, Vanessa in particular. It’s a dark, but not too dark, deep red. Shiny and “glossy” with a tad of shimmer. The colour is highly pigmented and really does look on my lips like it does in the tube. I apply it with a lip brush for maximum precision, because I’m very picky.
The regular Buxom lips were too lacking in colour and too glittery for my liking. The only thing I prefer about the regular ones is that the tingly feeling I so adore is much stronger. The tingly feeling in the new Full Color ones only lasts a few minutes, versus an hour. Honestly, I don’t think that either really made a difference with regards to plumping my lips; maybe it’s because my lips are already quite full, so perhaps the effect would be noticeable on someone with thin lips to begin with. Anyways, I also have Carmen, and I love that shade too. Might pick up a few more:) If you like the idea of a shiny, opaque lipstick in lip gloss form, definitely give these a try.
*Edited to add: The staying power of these glosses is amazing:) It reminds me of the staying power of a lip stain minus the drying factor. They stay glossy with no colour fading for hours and hours. One of the longest lasting glosses I've ever tried.

I love reds, but don't usually gloss up my lips when I wear red due to having the gloss causing the red lipstick underneath to get slippery. This is a good alternative to a shiney red look that's sophisticated. However, this does need a liner if you have fine lines like me. This takes a while to apply evenly as it is a dark red shade. I'd recommend exfoliating your lips before using or it can glop and look icky very soon afterwards. A drawback for me is that I wouldn't wear it often; I just don't go out much to need such an elegant look it gives. I do like it has less shimmer than the other 2 I've tried, I prefer Stella & Roxanne over Vanessa for an average day.

If you've read my review of Too Faced's Drop Dead Red lipstick, then you know that I adore red lipstick in principle and want desperately to be able to wear a really nice, dark wine red without looking like a hooker or a clown. Against the odds, I think I may have finally accomplished that with this gloss.
I already had the sheer version of Buxom Lips in Amber (a beautiful peach-pink) and loved the way it looked and felt on my lips (even if it didn't do much in the way of plumping my already full lips) and decided that I should try the full color version in Vanessa while at Sephora. Good decision, apparently.
Vanessa applies on the lips just like it looks in the tube, unlike Amber, which looses it's opaque peachiness and turns into a gorgeous sheer peachy-nude shade on my lips. That's to say that on my lips it looks like a deep, rich red with subtle gold shimmer. And it is GORGEOUS.
I'm still getting used to seeing myself in a dark red lipstick, but I think it looks nice. Very vampy. It does require that I actually put some effort into making up the rest of my face, though. I couldn't just throw this on with some tinted moisturizer and no eyeshadow and walk out the door without looking half-done.
Like my Amber Buxom Lips, Vanessa has a really pleasant tingly sensation on my lips (which I happen to love), but doesn't seem to provide any visible plumping (which is surely a good thing with this color as my lips are already big enough, making them bigger while simultaneously coating them with bold, vampy red gloss would be ridiculous). It's non-tacky and glides on with ease, BUT the applicator on this isn't working too well for me.
While Amber has a doe's foot applicator (which also has issues), Vanessa has a narrow nail-polish type brush. I find it harder to get this applied neatly and evenly to my lips with the polish brush because the weight of the gloss makes the bristles sag and the whole thing warps and wobbles when I try to carefully follow the lines of my lips with it. And because it's so dark, any unevenness is blatantly obvious. I'm going to have to get a cruelty free lip brush (the only one I have is a MAC one and I'm trying not to use my old animal hair brushes) to apply this with.
