Bit strong at first spray, but after about 15 minutes it dries down nicely and smells as if you just stepped out of the shower; fresh with a hint of warm soapyness. I don't like my perfume around me like a headache and in everybody's face all day, so the fact that it gets quite subtle during the day does not bother me, I still get nice whiffs as I move around.
Georgeous fragrance, as opposed to Covet, the first fragrance, I hated that.

I love this. Smells great. Not your typical floral - i smell other notes (probaby the sandalwood etc). and because of this I really like it. I am an oriental girl (not heavy ones) so I'm pleasantly surprised by this. Me like!

Notes: Pikoke Indian flower, coconut water, tuberose, jasmine, mandarin orange, plum, musk, amber, sandalwood and orris

I was given this product as a gift last Christmas.

It's not a scent I would usually have chosen, as I don't tend to go for celebrity perfumes. It is classed as a floral, fuity scent with an 'exotic' or 'tropical' edge.

While it's not a classic or very 'different', it does like up to its billing. The scent is tropical floral, and the fruity edge is present without being too strong or obvious (not Body Shop strong). While not suffocatingly strong like some of the big 80s scents, there's not much subtlety or development here. It's like - Bang! Fruit and Flowers!

Overall, I think I smell rather like some sort of tropical cocktail when I wear this - not such a bad thing :) . It's not a classic - but it's fun and summery.

COVERT PURE BLOOM is in the middle of the road for me. It’s not a fragrance I want to wash off and it hasn’t given me any headaches. But it doesn't have that 'special something' that would make me come back for more.

I couldn’t pick out any individual scent notes, apart from the plum and the tuberose. There wasn’t a noticeable difference between the top, heart and base notes either, just loads of softly sweet notes that I couldn't seperate.

COVERT PURE BLOOM is a pleasant fragrance that is inoffensive, but unmemorable. Why is it a spin-off? There’s nothing about this that reminds me of the original COVERT. Must be down to making more of a profit from the COVERT name.

I tested it n Covet original yesterday. Although this one smells like soapy violet, I didnt smell any plum or grape in it which are the scents I love. This one still be better so far with the original (horrible!!). I think this perfume is elegant, feminine type. U should buy this Pure Bloom if its just 18 dollars 3.4 oz. Yeap, thats the price its worth. The bottle is really really nice!!

Leave it to my best friend to add another fragrance to my lemming list! LOL I'm hooked on this one, and I'm not a Sex and the City fan or a fan of Sarah Jessica Parker either. It's a medium intensity floral that's mixed with candy and grapes. I know what you're thinking...but with the floral notes in it, it's actually still very grown up! A must have!

This is absolutely nothing like the original Covet at all and in my opinion is probably more mainstream. However, having said that I really like it. I must admit to not being completely sold on it at first, but it's really grown on me....it seemed like a very 'loud' floral, which now that I like it more I have decided that it's more of an 'exotic' floral. So apart from the 'exotic' flowers, which are the tuberose and most likely the pikake (having never actually smelled one I can only presume), I get a very light and airy coconut hint to it, with a light musk drydown. Perhaps the other thing that has made me come around with this fragrance is that I often get compliments on it when I'm wearing it.....and never just "you smell nice", but a real "wow, that smells absolutely beautiful!!" I don't have an issue with the lasting power - it lasts quite well on me and the bottle is beautiful, both in shape and colour. I still prefer Covet over this one though, as it's a little more unique.

I actually got this by accident. I tested the original Covet, but somehow ended up buying Pure Bloom. I loved Covet and would give it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. On the same scale, I'd give this a 6.5, good enough that I decided not to return.

Unfortunately, the scent lingers for maybe a half hour tops before disappearing into oblivion. I'm going to go through the bottle in maybe a month tops as I pretty much have to saturate myself in it in order to get any staying power at all once I leave the house.

I have to find out if the original Covet has the same problem.

Very pretty bottle but the scent is heavy grape-ish and floral.I used alot of my bottle otherwise I would have realized in the beginning I didn't like this as much as the original covet (In which that one is divine!).And I would have returned it but then again I like the bottle for display.Pretty color!

I really like Covet and Covet pure bloom.Pure bloom smells so much like plum and some exotic flowers and it is a nice perfume. It does smell similar to Juicy couture and it is way cheaper! I got a bottle 3.4 oz for $20.So at that price I want to stock up because Juicy is a little too pricey for me right now. And Juicy is not all that anyway for the price it should smell better it is up there almost with Chanel perfume prices!Update: I went and bought a second bottle of Pure Bloom today it smells so good and is becoming my favorite! It is addictive! I think it is the plum because I love plum scents and I also like the smell of raspberries! This perfume is in my top favorites! My current favorites are 1. M by Mariah Carey 2. Ralph hot 3. Sweet Desire 4.Pure bloom 5 Escada Sunset Heat (yeah baby the best escada they ever made! So yummy!).Oh and 6. Fantasy (of course! I think that is alot of womens favorite!) 7. Live by JLo 8. Glow by Jlo 9.Chloe Narcisse 10. Intamently Beckham by Victoria Beckham

I loved Lovely and the original Covet, so I was anticipating another winner from Sarah Jessica Parker. But my first impression of Covet Pure Bloom was ... meh. I tested it while I shopped around the mall, then tested it again, just to be sure that I wasn't missing anything in the drydown. While I was shopping, I kept asking myself, "Hmm ... what does this smell like?" It evoked a fragrance of long ago ... then I finally pegged it: Covet Pure Bloom is a dead ringer for the old Silkience shampoo and conditioner! It's not horrible by any stretch of the imagination. It's actually quite nice. But it smells like something you'd pick up at the drugstore, to be honest. Nothing about it is really starkly unique -- like the original Covet. Definitely try before you buy, because this is completely different than SJP's first two scents.

I can't say I love this although it is very wearable, so light, fresh and feminine. It is lovely to wear though, very inoffensive; so will probably put it in my everyday wear nice but not overly special collection.

This smells almost identical to Juicy Couture. I find this to be a lighter version with much less staying power and would stick to Juicy Couture hands down.
The bottle was hard to spray (maybe it's me and my unco hands) but I found the squarishness difficult. I do think the bottles are pretty, but overall I wasn't wowed by this.
I would not purchase and glad it was a spritz in a department store and not a purchase.

I was told by a salesperson at Macy's that the original Covet is doing so horrible sales wise that they are going to be taking it off the shelves. Hence the new formulation. Thankfully Pure Bloom is nothing like the original. It's light, clean and fresh. Again, a very comforting scent that is wears close to your skin. I think it will be great for Winter too, it reminds me of being cuddled up in a big fluffy blanket next to my fire with a cup of cocoa. It's versatile and a keeper.

This is the first fragrance that I have bought after just one squirt on the wrist - I didn't even wait to see how it developed - I just loved it. It's day five of wearing it now and I still love it - I can't believe it's just been released at the end of August in the UK as it soo a summer fragrance. It has a coconut element which smells like suntan lotion but in a more sophisticated way and then the mix with the floral is just divine. The dry down is definitely musky amber - all my faves seem to have this theme. I had been wearing D&G Light Blue for summer before finding this, but now it's not getting a look in. Off to Paris tomorrow for 1st wedding anniversary - I will be smelling of Covet Pure Bloom - so Carrie in the final series. Apparently the purple flower on the bottle can be removed and worn on a chain - haven't tried it yet - not sure I want to channel that much Carrie! I don't have the original Covet - did plan to get it last winter but had a whole heap of Narcisso Rodriguez and Maitresse so couldn't justify it at the time - I do like the original Covet too but it's very different. Not really sure why she didn't just give pure bloom a whole new name.

As others have said, Covet Pure Bloom is nothing like the original (and more original) Covet, this is a flanker marketed solely on brand recognition. The scent is along the lines of Cacharel Noa Perle or maybe Estee Lauder Intuition, there are so many boring fruity florals that it resembles scentwise. Covet Pure Bloom is nothing new or great. It's all been said before but we all still need to try it for ourselves, don't we? If you don't, you won't be missing anything IMHO. No freakin' sale.

Personally, Covet Pure Bloom was one of the most anticipated perfume releases of 2008 for me. I had high hopes, being a fan of Covet, but unfortunately, Covet Pure Bloom is not at all what I expected... It smells nothing like Covet, but that is not what is so disappointing. With Pure Bloom, I was expecting more of a tropical floral based on the luscious advertised notes for this scent. What I got was blah...I gave the scent 3 chances, and each time, I wore it for the entire day. It's not bad, but it's simply nothing to write home about. It's utterly forgettable. Bottom-line, life's too short to wear a fragrance that does nothing for my senses, and sadly, Covet Pure Bloom fits this classification. Thank God I bought this on sephora.com; I mailed it back today for my full refund...

Covet Pure Bloom is a very tropical floral (the notes: mandarin, purple plum, coconut water, tuberose, pikake, jasmine, amber, iris, sandalwood and creamy musks).
It is feminine, light and easy to wear, I find the bottle attractive, a lovely shade of lilac.
I would not buy it again as the fragrance does not last.
