Even though this seemed to be a good product, I was so happy I could have Norwegian Formula w/ SPF30 but I coulnd't stand the smell! unbelivably strong, perfume-y, arghhh... Had to wash my hands immediatly after I noticed that awful smell came from my hands. Hated it.

Terrible. This stuff peels off in clumps after putting it on. I agree with other reviewers that this hand cream is nothing like the original. This cream is much less moisturizing and has the prior mentioned clumping problem. I think I'll just use regular sunscreen on my hands and pass on this crap.

This is a really thick hand cream! It's kinda like spreading cold butter on your hands. But once I rubbed it in it made my hands nice and soft. (I have the worst red, chapped hands.....They could belong to a lizard.) I also like how it has SPF in it.
It has a sun lotion type of smell mixed with baby lotion. Its really not that bad of a smell. It was around cheap around five dollars but I will not repurchase because I finally tried the L'Ocattine (sorry if I didn't spell that right) 20% hand cream and that is my HG!

I got this hoping for a good moisturizer for my hands and sun protection, but for me it did not deliver at all:
- Not moisturizing or emollient
- Weird sticky consistency
- Strong, unpleasant "chemical" smell
Overall: Disappointing, especially since many Neutrogena products, especially their cleansers, work so well for me.

I thought this would be a good product to protect my hands from signs of aging. The consistency of this product is similar to glue. It also smells awful. When you put this on, it doesn't feel moisturizing at all. In fact, after rubbing it in, my hands feel dry. Also, sometimes it causes a sort of "sloughing" effect where little flakes of skin or something come off as well.
This product might be protecting my hands from sun, but it feels so darn horrible that I am going to throw it away - which I normally wouldn't do after spending $6 on a small tube. You could save your money and just put sunscreen all over your hands--it would feel the same. Yuck!

As a drugstore hand cream, this hand cream is very expensive considering the tiny amount of product you get. I got this hand cream because of my good experience with the original Norwegian formula. So I thought this hand cream will deliver the same level of miniaturization as the original formula. But I was wrong. This is nothing comparable to the original formula. This one has a s/s smell that I truly don't like, and it doesn't moisturize well. Will have to look for another hand cream. Or, buy a good hand cream, and use a s/s on top of it.

Useless and totally a rip off. You can use any hand cream on your hands, you don't need an "age shield" hand cream!
If you really want young looking hands, moisturize your hands with any lotion and always wear sunscreen on your hands!

UGH...I can't get over the smell...BARF! It goes on kinda greasy/filmy, but seems to moisturize okay and I like that it has sun protection. It's been like over an hour since I've applied and I can still smell it (and my hand is not even near my nose).
Gonna return this ASAP!

First of all this stuff is nothing like the original Norwegian formula hand cream, so I really resent the fact that they made it seem like it would be, trying to capitalize on the popularity of the original to pawn this crap on us.
Overall this cream sucks majorly. I don’t know how they managed to make a cream that is simultaneously greasy and drying. It also smells horrible.
I really hate this product, so the search for a good hand cream with full spectrum sun protection continues.

I've been keeping out of the sun but last summer I saw something odd - I had a "glove-tan"! Only the tops of my hand were tan to my wrist. Evidently, I got this merely from driving my car in the sunlight. Now I keep a tube of Age Shield hand cream in the car and it's the thing I do after buckling up and before turning the car on. It's a good & easy habit to start. It absorbs quickly and my hands don't slip on the steering wheel.

I bought this specifically for the SPF. Decent moisturization, absorbs well, no stickiness. To me it has an "unscented" scent which I'm not crazy about. I will continue to use until I find something better. (US $5.29 for 2oz)

I finally found a cream specifically for hands that has SPF! I love love the smell and it feels like it really moisturizes without being greasy or having that weird sunscreen feel. I feel so much better now knowing my hands are now protected since I am seeing more and more sun spots on my hands as I get older. The small size fits well in my purse too!

This is a much lighter hand lotion than its non-SPF counterpart, which is perfect for me. I've been on the hunt for a hand lotion with SPF because I've been using regular sunscreen on my hand this past summer and winter and even though those sunscreens go on oily as heck on my face, for some odd unnatural reason, they dry out my hand like you wouldn't believe. A lot of previous reviews have complained about the lack of moisturizing power in this hand lotion, and while it is true, for me, it does the job perfectly. It provides a good amount of moisture to keep my hand soft, and my hands aren't so severely dry that I need something so heavy-duty. I like the small tube that it comes in (I do wish they sold it in 1 oz sizes, as this is a bit bulky for my purse), the screw-top design is great because I'm always worried about product leaking, and the screw-top is a lot more secure than a flip-top bottle. I have one complaint: the scent. Good gawd it's so heavily scented. I wear perfume, so this definitely interferes with it. It smells good...but I still wish it was unscented. I wish some of my perfumed body lotions were as strongly scented as this :P

This isn't the most effective hand cream but the fact that it has SPF 30 makes it worth using. It sinks in quickly and I feel better knowing my hands are protected. The tube is a little annoying because it doesn't have a flip top, but the size fits nicely in my bag.

Dries my hands out terribly and actually caused some peeling to my cuticles. I do like the small tube but it has a screw-off cap which is a pain in the butt. Fast absorbing and works well for driving but I can't get past the adverse effect of the dryness and peeling. Really I'm not sure this should be called "Age Shield" unless you're going for an "aged" look cause your nails/cuticles will end up looking years older. Fragrance free--nice--and easy to find but not great. Will try Good Skin hand cream next.

On the positive side, this is one of the few hand creams with sunscreen that provides broad spectrum protection. Unfortunately, as a hand cream, it's rather average. It's just not very moisturizing. As a hand cream, I would recommend Good Skin All Bright hand cream over this one, even though it's more expensive and the SPF is lower (SPF 15 vs. SPF 30).

Regular sunscreen dries out my nails and feels awful on my hands, so I got this, thinking it would be more moisturizing. It has nice stable UVA protection. But it feels just like sunscreen, drying on my fingertips, greasy in between my fingers. I don't like the heavy floral smell either. I only use it on the backs of my hands, but it still feels gross. I will use this up, because I really haven't found anything better, but I think I will just use a greasy sunscreen next time.

I thought this had an unpleasant, sunscreeny/chemical "floral" fragrance, reminiscent of very cheap shampoo. That was enough to make me dislike the product, but it also balls up, badly. Dealbreaker. Oh, and also? It doesn't moisturize my skin whatsoever. Back to my search for an unscented, nicely moisturizing hand cream with good stable sun protection... you wouldn't think it would be this hard, would you?

Perfect size for stuffing into your purse. Retails for $4.79 USD at Walmart and as much as $6.xx at drugstores. Has a slight sunscreen smell but different than the Ultra Sheer products. Feels a tad sticky on the palms and in between the fingers so I only apply it to the back of my hands. Dries to a soft texture there. Photo-stable ingredients. Active Ingredients: Avobenzone (2.0%), Homosalate (5%), Octisalate (5%), Octocrylene (3.55%), Oxybenzone (3%). I'll keep buying this until I find something better.
