I would describe it as a soft glowing pink with hints of soft golden shades with slight gold shimmer, its really pretty, perfect color for the inner corners, sweep the along the tops of the cheek bones or apply a the color to the entire upper eyelid, then contour with a darker colours. i love this shade

I bought this when it came out in the now discontinued Spiced QUAD pallet (which I LOVE).
I really like nanogold. Like the previous reviewer stated: When I first opened it, it looked like naked pigment... but it's a very nice pink iridescent undertone that makes this ES so special! It is decently pigmented!
I always but painterly on first, then nano gold and it is so pretty. I dont know if I would repurchase, but it is the most used eyeshadow in the pallet. I think I am just up for trying something new. This product will last forever.

I gave up trying to make this product work.
Horrible horrible product. Worst eyeshadow I've seen from MAC.
It looks so beautiful in a pan, but it's got almost no pigmentation. If you like pink iridescence just buy Pink Opal Pigment.

Love it and just picked up a backup from my local CCO. I'm an NC42 for reference and unlike some of the other reviewers this definitely shows up on my skintone. I was a little hesitant to buy it because it looks like a highlight color (which I guess it can be used for this - I wouldn't though), but I use this as an all over lid color and it's gorgeous! It applies as a light gold with pink iridescence and although I don't really wear pink eyeshadow, this one is perfect as a quick everyday wash of color.

MY EXPIRIENCE:
I love it!!! When I first opened it, it looked like my naked pigment... but it's a very nice pink iridescent undertone that makes this ES so special! It is decently pigmented!

COLOR DESCRIPTION
Its a shimmer pink iridescence almost a duochrome color. It LOOKS PINK. Very similar to et tou bouquet. It is NOT a beige color, definitely. Cool for highlight.
Lustre, wich means a little fall out, use it wet.

USES:
Best for brightens inner cornes of the eyes.
Nice as highlight
Good for a wash of color with very black liquid eyeliner and a lttle BRUN in the corners.

I love this as an inner corner highlight! A lot of the time it shows up as a light nude shade with a pink irridescense (can't spell this word for the life of me!!!) imo. On the lids, at least for me, it turns into this wierd pink color that's just NOT pretty. But for what I wanted to use it for (inner corner highlight) it's perfect!!! I think I'll grab another one from Macy's before they sell out.

In the pan and swatched this looks really unique, baby pink and gold shimmer. But on the lids it doesn't show up that much, it's much more beige than I'd like, sadly w/o the pink shimmer.
I like it as a highlight on the brow bone and the inner corner. I guess it could work well as an all-over lid color when you want a really subtle look but I rarely go there ... I like it, but it's no must have imo.
I wouldn't repurchase because this will probably last me a long time.

Ugh so this shadow was part of my Cult of Cherry quad in Spiced Chocolate.. and omg, i really don't like this colour at allll.
I used this as a lid colour once.. well .. TRIED to use it was a lid colour, it LITERALLY took up 2cm of my fix + and 10-15 minutes trying to get this colour to show up on BOTH eyelids.. when it did show up, it didnt even show up only a sheen of purple.. i hate this eyeshadow.

So disappointed in MAC for making this eyeshadow!! Just like a previous reviewer said, this has the exact color payoff as Motif, the only difference is the finish (Motif is a frost and Nanogold is a lustre)...I got this in a swap, so fortunately, I really didn't spend any money on it, but I already have Motif (and I don't need two colors that I rarely use anyway)...This is a rosey metallic gold shimmer color...not really "gold" like the name implies. :( The only reason I gave it 3 lippies is because in itself, it's not really a bad color, but I already have Motif, so the fact that they are so similar that even a MAC expert couldn't tell them apart, made me very upset. If you have Motif, please spare yourself a hard time and skip on this.

Nanogold is a Frost (LE) eyeshadow, came with the Spiced Chocolate quad at the cult of cherry collection.
its a Beige highlighter color with plum-red reflects to it, I usually use it as a highlight for looks that have plums or shadows like sketch or sweet chestnut.
gr8 4 naturals as it adds a lil dimention 2 my look.

This is one of my go-to MAC e/s and I wish it wasn't LE. The color is a beautiful shimmery light pink that reflects gold. It is a lustre finish but it seems to be easier to work with than other lustres. I find myself using this as a wash for days when I don't have time to do a full eye look. It is also the perfect brow bone highlighter, inner eye highlighter, or cheek highlighter. On the cheek this reminds me of Lightscapade MSF but with a gold shimmery. I can't wait until MAC repromotes this as I'll be buying it again.

After using this shadow for some time, i can definitely say i hate it!! It's too gritty and irritates my eyes. I use it as highlighter on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose hopefully it will finish very soon...

I have this eyeshadow as part of a quad and I love it. Apparently I am in the minority on that one, but I find myself wearing it nearly everyday lately. I did not notice the texture as being difficult to work with. It is beige, but has pinky-coral flashes. I personally do not find it to be similar at all to motif, which other reviewers have noted. I like to pair it with cranberry type colors. I am fairly light complected with neutral to yellow undertones, dark hair and eyes.

As most have said, the lustre texture for Nanogold lets it down, and I swatched it against Motif and they are quite close--not exact but near enough if applied with a light hand. If you missed out on Nanogold (and I feel this is not a really unique colour--I know others disagree) try Motif.

This color is unique enough that I bought a backup. On me it's a faintly rosy gold, and gorgeous as a wash on my neutral/warm PPP lids. Use it wet to get the payoff. I took a lippie off for the texture; if it were as silky/smooth as Vex or Patina, I'd have bought two more instead of just one.

Nanogold is a beautiful color. It is really hard to describe, but it is a light beige with pinkish coral iridescence. The texture of the eyeshadow itself (lustre) leaves some room to be desired, but I still like it nonetheless. It is a bit crumbly and chalky, but I like the color enough that I am willing to sacrifice texture. I love to use this shadow as a highlighter on the inner corners of my eyes and layered over darker colors to change the color and to lighten it up a bit. This shade is LE so definitely check it out before it is gone for good. My coloring is LLL yellow/olive w/ dark brown hair and eyes.

I must be in the minority to love this e/s. I am PPP and use this as a highlighter almost every day. The texture is workable to me, and the shimmer is a perfect touch! I love the pink/beige color and I would repurchase if I ran out!
