Oh Almay, I hate to do this to you. I love Almay's other foundations but TLC is just meh. The coverage is so sheer and the consistency is thick and does not blend well. Great for those with sensitive skin though.

Growing frustrated with HE foundations, I purchased this on a whim in CVS, having had a good experience with another Almay foundation in the past.

I'm NC 20-25 (yellow undertones) and one of the 'middle of the line shades' (neutral or sand?) works really well for me.

My skin is leans toward oily with normal sized pores and this does an amazing job of

a) covering imperfections w/o looking cakey - in fact it is a wonderful, dewey natural finish
b) blurring my pores
c) keeping oil at bay even on my forehead.
d) giving me a well-rested appearance. I no longer need concealer since I pat this in the corner and under my eyes.
e) looking 'skin like'... My face looks neither too matte, too dewy or in any way unnatural.

I use it sparingly, only in the mid-portion of the face and the effect is great. It takes me just a few minutes to dab about a pea-sized amount of product and I'm set for the day.

No break outs, no dry skin. Spf 15 with ZnO and TiO2 (major plus) so it doesn't interfere with avobenzone containing suncreens to the extent that octinoxate would.

No oxidation or colour change over the course of the day.

The pump is super! Love the packaging.

I've been using for 3 months so HG for me. A winner.

WOW - great foundation and really long lasting. I've been buying Lancome and Clinique for years but have never been happy with the coverage and how long they last. This covers great and I have quite a few scars from a car accident on my face. And it Lasts - first product that lasts until I get home at night and take it off. Totally worth the price and drugstores always have promotions so I purchased this and got a 1/2 price eyeshadow. I do wish they had a few more shades to try out.

I am going to update my review but wanted to put color matching information on here for those of you who were like me and could not find your color match via search. I wear revlon color stay in sand beige , nc20 in mac , and I chose Naked 03 (160) in Almay TLC.Please note, I saw 2 naked 03s at cvs and both were completely different colors. This foundation likes to separate in the bottle , and it is super hard to shake up and see the true color. I chose the lighter of the two Naked 03s I saw. The first thing I noticed about this foundation was it has a thicker feel like revlon colorstay. The product has sunscreen and you can feel that slippery/thick/greasy sunscreen in it. With so many great reviews saying it keeps you from being shiny, this did not scare me. Upon application I felt it was a little easier to blend than colorstay. The color is a little more pink I would say, and less neutral than color stay but it is natural & it does match my skin. I was able to layer this foundation on areas that needed more coverage, but up close this foundation shows off hair & pores a little more than colorstay or my previous foundation mac studio fix fluid. So far it does great with keeping the shine away. Overall this is a lighter version of colorstay, but the coverage is not quite as full. I am going to update my review weekly to note any breakouts, or how it reacts when I am at the beach or swimming this weekend. Just wanted to give this a quick review & help anyone with color matching. I do know this product has lemon extract which does brighten but it can also dry out your skin. Those of you with dry skin who use this ingredient can actually have a reaction to where it makes you oily because it strips moisture. Will update* upate.. Returned this because it showed up too many of my imperfections and was not as flawless as other foundations I have tried.

I had high expectations for this foundation based on the reviews I have read here but unfortunately this would have to be one of the worst foundations I have ever tried.

I purchased two bottles in Naked 160 and Neutral 220 and both foundations were disappointing.

Comes in a pump dispenser which when I used for the first time pumped out a gloopy mess of oily dirty liquid. I then removed the lid and stirred the foundation and then shook vigorously and after a few pumps it actually looked like foundation.

I didn't like the consistency as it was very thin and runny, felt very oily on my skin.

Foundation application was very sheer and did not even out skintone . Two hours later I didn't even look like I was wearing foundation. Almay claim this is a 16 hour foundation? I don't think so.

My skin appeared oily which is amazing considering how dry skinned I am.

I tried this foundation again the next day and once again pumped out a dirty oily liquid and I had shaken the foundation prior to use.

Both bottles performed the same, both bottles are now in the bin.

The expiry date was 2015 so this was not old product.

HG drugstore foundation! Finally! I used to use Neutrogena, but that made my skin so oily, it was disgusting. I also used a Maybelline powder once & it is the reason why my skin is so scarred today. So I've been on the search for a good drugstore liquid foundation, &this is it. There are a couple cons:
-A little pink for my skintone
-A white cast in photos depending on the camera's flash
-Not enough coverage sometimes
But otherwise, this foundation is good enough for me. I apply with my E.L.F studio brush. Of course, scars are difficult to cover, but I work with the product until about 95% of my scars are covered (I don't use concealer). After I finish, I move on to the rest of my makeup and set the foundation with powder last. Putting powder on right after sort of creates an uneven skin tone because the foundation is still a little sticky, in my opinion. There are days where I don't set with powder & the result is basically the same. Throughout the day, I may only have to touch up my nose and/or T-zone and that's it!
Tests I did: 6hour car wash, 12hour days, etc. Plus I think this foundation is a bit waterproof :) In the end, this is the best foundation I've found; it gives me a matte look, doesn't get oily for hours, &it's the best match I've found so far.

Went to the store to find a quick replacement for my HG liquid foundation by Mary Kay... since I did not have time to order. And first off I was perplexed by how hard it was to find a drug store foundation that was stored in a hygienic bottle.... you know, like with a pump or squeeze tube. Then I spotted this.... in a perfect pump top bottle and of course since being Almay it was suitable for sensitive skin. Needless to say I have since surprising fallen in love with this foundation and may not ever go back to my old Mary Kay foundation again. It covers well and is build-able, does not irritate my very sensitive skin, matched my tone perfectly and is long lasting just like it says.... not to mention available at short notice in my local drug store. Hope it stays on the shelves and does not get discontinued!

This foundation is so so, i like the coverage it gives me, covers minor blemishes and redness so it evened out my skin tone BUT it feels heavy on my skin, i have that make up mustache going on and it settles in my smile line. You have to really warm up the product first and take some time to blend it in. This is what i have now so ill just have to deal with it, i mix some eucerin daily moisturizer so that it goes on smoother. I wont return it only because i love that this foundation has a pump, so i can wash it out and put moisturizer in it or something.

This is my favorite foundation. I find it much easier to blend than a lot of other long wearing foundations. It doesn't make me look like I am wearing a mask and it doesn't settle into my pores the way a lot of foundations do. The color "Buff" is also a perfect match for my skin tone. This also helps control my facial oil so I don't end up looking oily as the day goes on. I also love that it has a pump.

I love this foundation. I have used the Revlon colorstay for oily skin and I noticed lately that it's not staying on by the end of the work day. I have been using Almay TLC for 2wks now and I love it! My true test is at the end of the work day. I have not had to touch up or use any kind of powder. I like this better than the Revlon and it's the same price.

Well not a lot to say but save your money what a junk foundation this is, at least that's my opinion.
First off i love thick consistency makeups but my goodness should we just call this glue .... i couldn't get this to blend to look natural at all coverage was so so which doesn't even matter when you look like chalk face.
also it burned my face after a few hours of wear, shade selction is poor.
it has a pump... which is good and about the only good thing i can think of to say about this ..... needless to say it was RETURNED!

This product is just to thick! When you try to blend it out it feels like you have glue on your skin. Plus it gave me EXTREME cake face!!! I wish this product worked for me. Sorry if your opinion is different!!

HG FOUNDATION at lastttttttt! Oh my gosh, it is always so difficult for me to find a natural looking foundation, that offers amazing coverage, that makes my olive skintone. I've found it!!! It has such a beautiful finish, almost dewy, but not emphasizing the oiliness of my skin, just giving me a my-skin-but-better look. It doesn't dry as quickly as most foundations this thick, which is wonderful, because it gives you time to blend blend blend. It doesn't ever get dry and cakey looking, and like it promises, looks freshly applied all day long! It covers up acne scarring beautifully, I don't even need concealer. I use Almay's Clear Complexion Pressed Powder over top, and I look naturally flawless and radiant.

I buy this foundation in buff, the second lightest pale shade, and I like the yellow undertone it has instead of the horrid pink undertone many other pale shades contain.I also have sensitive skin & this never breaks me out. The lasting power is pretty good & I love the anti-aging ingredients. For the price and benefits I think it's a pretty good choice.

This foundation claims to be longwear, and it definitely is, it stays put on my oily skin all day and doesn't make me break out. I can only give it three lippies, though, because it doesn't have nearly enough coverage for me. It is a pretty light foundation, at least on my skin, it doesn't cover anything at all. It feels like there's hardly anything on, but it doesn't do enough for me. It doesn't blend easily, meaning you have to be pretty rough with it. I love the pump on it, though, and it doesn't have a bad smell.

I wouldn't buy this again simply because I need more coverage for my acne scars and this foundation simply doesn't deliver. If you're into a light foundation that will last, then this is for you.

This is extremely wonderful.
This is the first foundation that I don't have to retouch every few hours. It can stay on all day if I touch it up with powder once or twice.
Coverage can be built up to full, and it still looks like natural skin.
Great color selection.
Does not oxidize (change colors) at all.
Wonderful pump.
I can't even describe how much I love this

LOVE! I've always been leery of foundations because I thought they would look too cakey, but this foundation is lightweight and does wonders for my super oily skin! I still have to put a light dusting of powder on top and blot once or twice a day, and the foundation lasts for my whole day, which doesn't get up to the 16 hours promised on the bottle but is close enough. Sometimes I don't even blot and my skin is shiny by the end of the workday, but the foundation hasn't moved. The buff shade is the only drugstore shade I've found that matches my yellow-toned skin and counteracts redness from my acne, and when I get darker in the summer I mix it with the 'sand' shade. Yes, the coverage is light at first, but it is quite buildable. It doesn't seem to irritate my skin at all, either - I don't get breakouts from it!
The pump bottle is super well-designed and dispenses however much product you want it to - I usually use one or one-and-a-half pumps.

usually, my oily skin eats through foundation in about 3 hours. Foundation also tends to change color on me. This foundation resists those problems. #02 Buff is my best shade - neutral undertone. I use one pump, cut with Shiseido SPF 50 sunscreen and a touch of another drugstore foundation - this cuts the texture and makes it look less heavy. I use my fingers to spread, and use a cleansing oil + salux washcloth at night to remove.
