This is my first paint I've purchased from MAC and the colour is really beautiful, it's a medium/ dark brown with a bit of red to it and is slightly shimmery. It goes on creamy and dries as a powder. These are meant to last hours and hours..... But, this creased on me after 3-4 hours, a little bit more long wearing than paint pots (for me). This is a colour you can use on its own or as a base for other colours. I'm not a fan of the packaging, I like that its small and compact but because of its metal tube packaging, after it has been travelling with you and the tube accidentally gets squished, once you open it the product starts to ooze out on its own. I wouldn't recommend travelling with this unless you keep it in its original box. Also, you only need to use a tiny amount to get good colour pay off

I love Bamboom! After rediscovering this from my stash, I've put my Too Faced Shadow insurance aside (for now). This works really well as a base. The color is of a brownish tone, almost a tan skin tone color that looks great with any neutral/ brown eyeshadow. I It intensifies the color and makes eyeshadows last all day.

I love this product. It is a great medium brown base. Originally I went to MAC looking for Constructivist only to find out they discontinued it. I decided to get this instead.
- - - -
What it is:
a medium brown eye make up base that can be worn alone or under eye make up to intensify eyeshadows and give them a brownish tint.
- - - -
Pros - this product is long wearing. I wear this under eyeshadow shades to give it a brownish hue and to tone down colors. For example: wearing heritage rouge or cranberry alone can be scary looking. Wearing this underneath it will tone down the color (making it more wearable) and give it a brownish tint. Also - the tiniest bit of product is more than enough. It is extremely spreadable.
- - - -
Cons - the packaging is not great. The tiniest squeeze will cause product to shoot out of the tube. It can lead to a good bit of wasted product.
- - - -
Overall this product is worth having. I have NC 20 skin tone and works nicely with my complexion.

I have recently bought Bamboom Paint.Must say I am dissapointed with the color. On MAC website it appears as nice brown with shimmer, whereas in reality, it is almost a terracota which doesn't suit me at all:-( I was seriously thinking about returning this, but...gave it a try. It actually holds my eyeshadows in place, no creasing, which is great (that was my purpose of buying this). One great thing I noticed about this product, is that eyeshadows blends amazingly with it. I have applied dark eyeshadow and edges just blended heavenly. I must say that I am now impressed and decided to keep my Bamboom and thinking of purchasing Bare Canvas for lighter base. Tested for creasing and it holds eyeshadows for at least 12h, including 40min jogging.Great product, tiny tube and just smallest amount (smaller then lentil bean) will be enough for an eye. I am happy I kept it.

I can't recall how much I paid for this or why I purchased it seeing as how I've had it forever but never used it, not once. Going through my inventory & reviewing products. Came across this & I love it! It's that perfect nude or shimmery lid highlight that I never thought I could perfect. I can see this product having many uses & I plan to try them all. I normally don't buy items not labeled for a specific purpose & this fits into that category. I'm a skincare aficionado but somewhat of a makeup novice when it comes to advanced products like shimmer & paints. It must say "mascara", or "eyeshadow", or "lipgloss" for me. Otherwise, I'm a bit of a deer in headlights though I disguise it well. I digress, great product MAC!

I've been using this for just over a year, and I really like it. I got a makeover at MAC back in 2008, and the MUA used this as a base on my eyes. It blends exceedingly well, and actually makes the shadow colors pop. I can definitely tell a difference in how my makeup looks and behaves throughout the day when I'm wearing this paint as a base and when I'm not. My shadow doesn't sparkle and shine, nor does it last as long as when I'm wearing Bamboom under it. A little goes a long way, and it blends so, so well with shadows.. The only complaint I have is that it comes flying out of the tube at the slightest touch. Yeah, I have unfolded the tube at the end, but it still slides out too much if I'm not watching it. Still, it's an awesome base. I'm NC40, so it looks amazing on me, but you girls with lighter complexions/tones should probably try this out at the MAC store before you buy it.

Some have said this is Extremely Pigmented...that is very much so! I've only used it a few times as a base (hence the reason for the 3 lippies!) I'm still undecided if I really love this or not. On me, its more of a reddish/brown color with shimmer, but it's not too over whelming. According to the site it says its a beige-brown with shimmer. However, it is far from a beige-brown, like I said, more of a reddish/brown. Today, I've used it alone on just my lids with Shroom as a highlighter on my brow bone, for a more natural eye. This actually brighten and opened up my almond shape eyes!!! I'll update after experimenting with it more :)

Before this, I was using MAC's Prep+Prime Eye in Dark which was fine during the winter months, but as spring and summer neared, I had to find something else because my lids were creasing like nobody's business...One of the MA's suggested "Bamboom" paint..so, I swatched it on my hand and the color was exactly like the primer in dark....I gave it a try and I am soooooooooo glad that I did...since I have been using this, I don't think I know what a crease is anymore..:) This paint holds eyeshadow on so perfectly throughout the day...
The only downside to this is the packaging....some ppl have been complaining about too much coming out ( i can see that happening), fortunately, for me, the only time i have gotten too much was when i opened it for the very first time (a little bit just popped out, but it was enough to do about 4 sets of eyes)...I'm doing good with my little technique: I just squeeze from the bottom (like toothpaste) and grab what comes out with my brush MAC 252...Love it!!!

I generally love paints but the Bamboom looked terrible on me! I am medium fair asian, NC20-25 and Bamboon looked red/orange instead of brown on me. Will not repurchase. I need darker colors like artjam.

Wow, a definite surprise. I loved the colour on the outside (got this on an LJ sale) but when I applied it as a base, its soooo warm, and lovely peachy, it just adds that little bit of depth where a Painterly or Stillife can't (though I do heart those shades)
I teamed this tonight with Golden Olive pigment, and a bit of Sumptuous Olive on the outer corner... and it was fantastic. Definitely would recommend this for anyone with fair, to olive to dark skin. Not sure about lighter skin tones.

This one was a surprise for me. I received it in a swap and it ended up being the perfect color for me (NC15 with dark hair and brown eyes). I love MAC paints and will definitely buy this again!

'Tis a warm, light golden-tan color, kinda like pale nubuck. It is peachy rather than beige, but I like that since it provides just enough contrast with my skin (light, yellow undertone) to look warm and subtly bronzed but can still act as a good base for me, evening out and brightening my lid area without being white or silvery like some 'nude' bases out there.
I don't think this is shimmery at all. It has a bit of a shine, but nothing outrageous. I use a tiny dab on each lid if I'm using it as a base for my many nudes, beiges, tans, browns, bronzes, etc. or build it up in thin layers if I'm wearing it as a stand-alone eye shadow.
Other specs: Thick, creamy, blendable texture. No scent or taste (just kidding). Packaging is annoying and unnecessary--plastic tubes like Laura Mercier's cream shadows would've been ideal. I pretty much never have a problem with creasing or fading eye color, so I can't comment much on that aspect. My tube will probably last me a long time, but I would definitely repurchase another when I'm through...such an excellent, useful product!

This is my first MAC paint, and I love, love, love it. The shade looks wonderful with brown eyes. This paint works both as a crease shadow or on the lid. A gorgeous warm brown with a bit of shimmer. Super easy to apply, but it does dry fast, but once you get the hang of putting it on, drying quickly is a good thing. Total thumbs up. I like this better then the MAC shadow pots, but you can use them together. Can't wait to try more colors.

Lately I've been perfecting the art of 5-minute-makeup and cream eyeshadow is essential: no brushes to fiddle with, just slap it on. I've been a long-time fan of the Paints so I went to find the more neutral shades. Bamboom is for a warm look. It is neutral (I wear C25 in MAC foundation) but definitely a warm, medium-toned terracotta beige. It really makes my brown eyes pop. As with all Paints, the application 7 lasting power is exceptional but the package leaves something to be desired (a plastic tube would be far better).

If you're dark-skinned and looking for a neutral shimmery base colour, try this out. On my DDD NC50 skin this is perfect as a neutral base as it goes on like a shimmery MLBB on eyelids. As others have mentioned, there's definitely a learning curve to appplying paints, which I have yet to master. Some days it goes on perfectly, other days splotchy and uneven. One thing I've learnt is to apply the only tiniest amount and to blend quickly before it dries. Because this is such hassle to apply, I wouldn't repurchase. Pretty colour though.
EDIT: I found that using eye cream under this really helps this to glide evenly.

I would have never thought about getting this until I recieved this as an extra in a swap and ever since I've been wearing this almost everyday. In the past I tried using Stillife as a base but it didn't work out too well for me, I think paints work better as an eyeshadow than as a base. They dry too quickly but once they do, they deliver high-quality color on your lids that do not crease ever and stay on for probably days. So these days I use Stillife, a shimmery light champagne, on my lids and highlighting my brow bone then I use Bamboom, this gorgeous soft pinky-brown with golden shimmer in my crease. Bamboom is a very elegant color that can be used daily if you love shimmer and this delivers high impact color without ever creasing or fading... love! Will repurchase when I'm done with this one.

Oh. My. God. I love this stuff. I caved and bought it after hearing all the raves for Paint on MUA (thanks ladies!!). Bamboom is a really nice warm beige with a hint of shimmer to it and really DOES stay on for ages and ages! Last Friday I put it on at seven in the morning and it (along with the rest of my eye makeup) is still pretty much intact and CREASE-FREE at 12 AM! That's right, ladies, MIDNIGHT! That's a whopping seventeen hours we're talking about. I think I've found a new staple--I've been wearing this under my eyeshadow almost every day since I bought it and I feel so vulnerable and naked without it! It's a snap to work with and looks really clean and pretty even on its own. We're talking HG material here.
