"Sterling", #01 the silver version of the pencil, is one of my HG products, to be honest. I haven't tried any of the other color varieties. I use the black side as a thick liner, it stays well on my waterline compared to most other liners. The sparkly silver side makes a great highlighter for the inner corners of your eyes, which looks great with any other makeup, particularly when wearing eye shadow. I use it just about everyday, I love it. I've already bought a second. The packaging design is adorable. Anyone should be able to find a good use for this, the black and silver are both universally flattering. Not sure why it has such bad ratings, I think people are expecting the effect of a thin liner rather than a chubby pencil, or people just don't know how best to use it.

I just tested on #05, the pink one, and I don't like it half as much. The pink glitter doesn't really look good alone, although I see the appeal when layered with the blackened side, on top or beneath. When using the two together, it creates a black with pink sparkles party look, could be used as a liner or shadow pencil even.

I bought this in Blackened Gold.
One end was black with a little bit of gold sparkles in it, and the other end was completely gold.

PROS
- None

CONS
- Smears so much
- The black end with the gold sparkles ended up looking like a light grey.
- The gold side is pretty much invisible.
- The big and thick pencil makes it hard to get a precise line.

Conclusion:
The colors didn't end up looking like how I thought they would. It also smeared so easily. A waste of money.

I didn't like the sparkly side as much as the other side. It looks pretty cool with or without shimmer as a black shadow pencil.

I bought this a few years ago at CVS. I got the Blackened blue with the blue shimmer duo. The shimmer side is ok, but not that pigmented. It also comes off VERY easily. The Blackened blue side is really nice. The name describes it perfectly. Its a very dark blue that looks almost black. Its a really nice and creamy eyeliner, but it doesnt last that long (but all eyeliners smudge on me) i like the name + the packaging. Im not sure if these are year round, or just for Halloween?

i was sooo excited to get this because i heard about it before and i am a glitter fanatic. unfortunately, there i got almost no glitter from this pencil. the black end of it smudges like crazy and the glitter end is not smooth or glittery at all. what a waste of five bucks.

I bought this thinking that the silver would be cute on me ,but it was an epic fail.I put it on ,and I looked like a prostitute . Then I tried the black - worked a little better ,but not much .And finally , I went to sharpen it and the thing did not sharpen

My friend bought me this for my birthday and kept raving about how it looked so good on her sister so I was really excited to try it. Sadly, it turned out to be little more than an epic fail. The liner smudged onto my lids as soon as I opened my eyes and the glitter end was very hard. However, it does make a very good black/blue shadow base.

I bought two of these liners, the teal (reviewed separately) and the pink. The pencil liner side of this product just looks like a black liner to me, nothing spectacular. This smudges like crazy too. The glitter side is a whole new experience for me. I applied this thinking of fuchsia colored glitter, but no. Bizarrely this is coral/salmon colored glitter which was very chunky and dramatic when applied even sparingly. This particular color makes me look like I have some sort of eye infection, or just been in a bar-fight with a glitter-pencil wielding drag queen. I will be returning this one to CVS, I can't keep a pencil that makes me look sick!

I've been searching for a blue/black eyeliner for a while now and couldn't find any, they were either black or blue...this makes my hazel eyes stand out the way I want them too, more than with just black liner. I haven't really tried the shimmer part but thats not really why I bought it.

I like this product. the eyeliner doesn't smear and the glitter shows up unlike some glitters that don't really show up. I think the eyeliner is easy to put on too.

The black liner on this is hard and stiff and is hard to put onto my lids. It barely shows up even when I can get it to go on. The glitter part is okay and I am able to get a sheer glitter over all of the lid, but nothing spectacular.

i have this in #2, blackened blue. and at first i really really hated it!! i don't even like pencil liners but the only reason i bought it was because the photo of the model wearing it looked great, but i was fooled. it looks nothing like the photo.....but i thought the liner side was really pretty. so i decided to use it as a black eye shadow base, and i loved it!!! i just ignore the glitter side because its just crap. no matter how hard you apply it, it barely shows up. but if you want a nice black base with some blue in it, this works really well :)

I bought the blackened green from CVS and I am in love. I line my eyes with the black side first without smudging and apply the glitter on top of it! This is a very unique color with decent staying power. I do not have oily lids so that has never been a problem for me. I want to try some of the other colors as well. My girlfriend was wearing it and it looked gorgeous, she is from the dominican republic so her complexion is dark. I am very fair and it is much more intense on me. I wish it looked as good on me as it does on her.

I have this in #2 (Blackened Blue). The black part is an okay thick eye pencil. It has average wear. The other side, the glittery blue side, barely shows up at all. I used a heavy hand and even though it's soft, was still faint. It's going back to CVS.

I got this in the green, I don't like the black liner part too much, but I do love the glitter part. Gives you a great shimmer and goes on smoothly. I do wish it could fit a regular sharpener..that's where they get you!

i got the blackened pink 05 in a swap, the black liner part goes on very smooth,no tugging at all. the glitter looks orange not pink though, which also went on very smooth. just wish it was a lil more pink and the pencil a lil more thinner to fit a reg sized sharpener. other then that i like it =)

I bought this a few weeks ago, and I love it. You can add *just* enough shimmer and it gives you a great look! Plus, you can line your eyes, so all in all, a great product. I'll buy it again. Plus I wanna check out the other shades too :)

I have to give my Black Magic some love! I bought this to be gaudy, and sparkly. Which is exactly what I get. After smoothing some Urban Decay eye primer, I line my eyes with the colored end of the stick, and then lather on the glitter. It looks... gorgeous. It was love! So, I might purchase another, as long as my CVS doesn't stop carrying Milani. I don't really like having to sharpen it oh so often, but otherwise the product is perfect for me. If I don't wear it with my primer though, it will wear off. Because I have crazy oily lids.

First off, let me say that this product is way too expensive for this kind of quality... :(, I think that the modeled eye picture really fooled me!~ it's basically a glitter and black eyeliner end...ehh..not for me. The glitter sucks, and it just ends up rubbing off the black that you apply in the first place... However the black liner is pretty decent...
the color variety is pretty okay though-which ranges from gold, pink, teal, green, blue and black

I am so disappointed in this product. It's the first Milani product I've tried, and I hope it's not representative of all their makeup. The product is double-ended with one end being a liner and the other end being an "Eye Glimmer". The Liner side is a blacked color of whatever the other side is, i.e. Blacked Pink and Pink Magic. The Liner side is okay, nothing special. The Eye Glimmer side is a waxy, awful mess. It just smooshes and rubs off like a chunk of wax. You actually have to pat in on your eyelid, you can barely see it and it slides right off. Also, there are large glitter particles in the Eye Glimmer, which I would imaging could get into your eye and cause a scratch. To top it off, it was expensive $6.00. Yuck. Don't bother with this, save your money.
