I love mousse makeups in general. This one is as good as any. It goes on matte, has lots of coverage and gives an almost poreless finish. I find that the colors go on slightly lighter than they appear in the package, so if it seems too dark, it may not be. This can even be used as an undereye concealer.

I would recommend this foundation to people with oily skin. For those with dry or dehydrated skin, this is a nightmare - it will cling to flakies and make your skin look chalky and dead. However, it is near ideal for those with oily skin who want a "matte" look (this is very matte indeed, aptly named). It applies smoothly and unlike most foundations, does NOT need powder to set it. It does not oxidize or budge all day, and I found the colour match (Ivory for me) to be pretty good. No scent and no breakouts, which is always a good thing!

It comes in a very small packaging. For the price it is okay. However if you put this all over your face, then I would say it is expensive. I mainly use it for marks, so it last me a long time for the price! I have Nude Beige and it blends perfect with my skin. It goes on very smooth and satin like finish, and it stays put the entire day without even using primer on my face first! but I use it where I feel pores are more dilated and where the marks are visible. I would definitely buy this again, this is alternative to Maybelline's foundation in mousse.

I picked this up on clearance at shoppers drug mart for $5.00. alot of the products in this line were on sale (ladies go now for the sale) anyway i bought this, came home and saw lots of negative reviews. Well i had to try this for myself. first of all, i bought linen and i like the color match. the texture is smooth and creamy, however a bit drying. after i applied it all over my face i let it set in, then i added a drop of moisturizer that i press all over my face. it looked great! i didnt add primer or blush or powder like i usually do. i have soo many foundations right now. next time i will try it with a primer and moisturizer. i will edit when i try it with the full effect. so many reviewers complained about how dry it is. if you buy and have the same result use a good moisturizer on top and press it over the foundation. it worked for me!

I wanted so much to like this product. It felt great. The colour, linen, matched my skin perfectly. It has a very nice scent. But then I tried to wear it!! I have oily, acne-prone skin with medium-sized pores. Well, my pores looked enormous when I put on this product. Seriously, moon-crators!! No amount of concealor, powder, primer stopped this. I tried it three times before returning it to the store. This product is terrible for my skin and I cannot reccommend it!!

Sooooooo chalky.......unbelievably chalky. I have never worn a foundation as drying as this one, and I don't have dry skin. I used to like Marcelle, but this product has turned me off of their brand forever.

I also really wanted to like this. The color selection is small, but found a suitable shade for my light slightly yellow skin. But it really dried out my skin, and made it flaky and patchy. And my skin is usually very oily!
Edit: Added a star. While unusable as a foundation, after reading one of the "tips" at Marcelle's website, I've started using as eyeshadow base, for mineral e/s. Eye shadows apply smooth and stay put all day. The jar is huge, so it will last me forever.

I really wanted to like this, but couldn't make it work any which way. It highlighted - no, created - dry patches, even after exfoliating and moisturizing. It even appeared flaky and clumpy on my oily nose. As a spot-concealer, it just rubbed off nearly instantaneously. Packaging doesn't seem hygienic, either. Surprising shame, cause Marcelle products are usually foolproof.
Giving it a star for the colour match (Linen) and the hypoallergenic formulation.

This was given to me as a sample. I tried another fountation by Marcelle before and it had alot of sparkles so I did not have a very good impression of Marcelle Foundations. This foundation however, changes my mind on it's foundations. I have a few acne scars and redness around my nose area and disappears when i have this on. I would definitely recomment this to others to try.

I used to HATE foundations...I either could never get the right colour, or it would leave me chalky and washed out or chalky and orange or chalky and yellow and/or break me out all at the same time. I have to say though that I LOVE this stuff!! I actually just bought this today because I LOVE that Marcelle does not break me out (it has taken me years trying a lot of different brands only to be horribly disappointed). This also seems to be the only thing that REALLY matches my skin tone. I got the ivory because it matched perfectly. The Linen left a yellow undertone (tried it on my jawline at Shoppers) which I don't want...especially since my skin already seems to have a yellowish undertone and the foundation would make me look like I have jaundice! This goes on nicely (first dab with the finger, then blend in with the finger) and covers VERY nicely! It even works great as an undereye concealer to hide the dark circles (which I get from being a sleep-deprived college student). It does not look chalky at all and seems to "hug" the skin. I do not recommend using this if you have dry skin though but I'm sure if you have a good moisturizer, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I only use this on my forehead and chin as that's where I have a ton of breakouts and works/looks amazing. I cannot say enough about this product!!
