Love this! It's a very calming scent. I use it after a shower when I shower at night. It's very moisturizing and the scent lasts a long time. It's similar to the scent of a lavender baby bubble bath, which I like.

This is the only fragrant I can use from Bath and Body Works. All the other fragrant smell like synthetic room or car deodorizer. It's not complex but it's extremely soothing and beautiful against the skin. If you are looking for a "cover up " perfume this is not it. This is meant to work with your own natural skin to give a hint of scent and let your natural pheromone do the rest for sex appeal. If you are sensitive to artificial fragrances, strong chemical smell, this is the perfect alternative. I find this fragrant even more natural, beautiful, organic, clean and soothing than the more pricey perfume oils at the Body Shop. Generally The Body shop has more natural scents than BBW. this one is an exception. It is one of my soothing favorite when I don't want to smell like fruits and sugars from the regular perfumes out there. It's spiritually uplifting and peaceful.

I had some of this a very long time ago, and I found it very comforting.
I just bought some more recently, and I don't know why I'd forgotten about it or how I'd gone without it for so long since then. It really is an amazingly comforting scent. I have good dreams when I sleep with it.

I liked this lotion enough, to use it up and enojy it, but still I wouldnīt buy again. The smell is pleasant, but especially when freshly applied, somehow strange and I couldn īt put my finger on what was actually irritating me. After many uses I realized, that it smells strongly like Vanilla-Soymilk to me! Not unpleasant, like I said, but kind of special. It moisturized quite nicely, but I have to admit that I wish the ingredients were more natural. Also, the packaging has its pros and cons - the blue glass bottle is very beautiful, but i was always afraid to accidentally drop it and have to deal with all the shattered glass on the floor. And in the end, there was no way to get everything of the leftover product out of the bottle, which is quite a bit of a waste.

I tried this in BBW and really liked it enough to buy it. I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but I do feel instantly more relaxed and sleepy when I wear it before bed. Like others have noted, the scent is initially strong but it does fade by the morning, at least for me. The lotion is light and doesn't leave a heavy residue on the skin. I also have the small hand size bottle which I keep in my purse. The Eucalyptus and spearmint line is great too for de-stressing.

This is quite a comforting and pretty scent but the lotion is very strongly scented. Like all of the aromath. products I find it to be high quality but would be happier if it was just slightly less loud. It does help me fall asleep more quickly.

Absolutely hated this. Bought it, used it twice. Hated it the first time but I thought Id give it another go. Still hated it and returned it. Something about the smell made me feel like I want to vomit! I much prefer the green bottle.. the one with eucualyptus or something, smells kind of minty?
Anyway, hated it!

I love the scent of lavender and this is a beautiful melody of sweet vanilla and lavender. I actually use this throughout he day (verses the intended use of being a bedtime moisturizer) as my hand moisturizer (I have the small plastic bottle) and it works well. I like it for the scent, quick absorption, and the delivery of just the right amount of moisture without feeling greasy. It's a nice treat to myself that I like to tote around in my handbag. I did give it four lippies as the scent does disappear quick.

Definitely one of my favorite bedtime scents. Smells sooo good. It's a decent price for the amount of lotion you get, and sometimes you can get a really good price if you catch a sale or have a bbw coupon. But other than the smell, don't expect too much more from this lotion. The sole reason why i use this lotion is for the smell; the moisturizing properties of this lotion aren't spectacular. So if you have dry skin and are looking for something very moisturizing, this won't cut it.

Ahhh....so relaxing. This scent might give some people a headache, because it is strong and others have complained, but for me, the lavender and vanilla blend is de-stressing and really does prepare me for a good night sleep. This is not a scent I would ever wear out. It's strictly a winding-down before bed scent for me. The lotion is very moisturizing and the bath gel is also great. I used this up numerous times and plan to continue purchasing. I haven't bought it for a while, and I'm definitely due. This scent is my favorite out of the aromatherapy collection. For a stressed out person like myself, anything this soothing is a very good thing.

I have always disliked the scent of lavender, and I'm usually not too keen on vanilla because lots of vanilla scents are too sugary. I only discovered this line because I got a little gift set from my workplace. Oh my goodness, I am hooked! I don't know what it is - I guess my taste has changed. This scent is light and soft, like baby bath. I picked up a few bottles of the lotion during the semi annual sale, and then went in a few days ago for the Home Fragrance Oil to put in my Vick's Vaporizer. Heavenly....

Good consistency and non-greasy.
Product gets absorbed pretty fast; scent is sweet and relaxing but do not put it on if you have a roommate who cannot tolerate strong smells because the scent lingers even overnight!

The scent is nice, not a medicinal lavender, but a soft, sweet lavender mixed with vanilla. The lotion itself does an average job of moisturizing, but the scent lasts a long time. It comes in a pretty, blue glass bottle. Don't be fooled by the 'aromatherapy' line, though..there are some natural ingredients in these products, but they still use synthetics to scent the products, as well as dimethicone & parabens. If a natural aromatherapy product is important to you, this may not be the way to go. I bought this mainly because I like the scent & I had a coupon, so this cost $13 and I got a matching body wash for free.
edit 2/4/09- the scent is starting to get to me- too sickly sweet, and I'm finding that it's quite drying. I actually need an additional moisturizer to combat this. Down to 2 lippes & I won't be buying again.

This is probably the best lavender vanilla scent I have ever smelt. I find it a very relaxing scent. I think the lavender is more overpowering then the vanilla but it smells very good. It smells a bit like baby powder.i don't know why its called sleep because it can't put you to sleep but it is a relaxing scent.

I have tried other less expensive lavender and vanilla lotions and hated them. This truly is a great lotion, it is kind of thick, very moisturizing , and the scent is amazing! the bottle is a beautiful cobalt blue glass which looks great on my nightstand. I always buy this when B&BW has their 2for1 sale, b/c it is too expensive otherwise. I have been using this for years and hope they never discontinue it.

I LOVE this scent! I don't think the lavender is overwhelming or medicinal at all - the vanilla really adds a lovely sweet, not too sweet though, mellowness to it. I kept smelling my hands after I applied - oh my I just love it! It's very soft and definitely a relaxing scent. I only have the lotion right now and plan to purchase other products in this scent. Oh, and I for one, love the cobalt glass pump bottle - it's very pretty to have on your dresser or nightstand!
