Kind of surprised by the reviews below. I actually have grown to really like this shadow. It's definitely subtle but layers nicely. It is a greyish/brownish with veryyy light shimmer. It's become my favorite for the under eye smoky look. I find it works best with a q-tip and usually apply 3-4 layers if I'm going out but for the daytime, 1-2 is just the right amount without looking too over the top! It doesn't smudge or fade and id absolutely repurchase!

To me this is like a taupe with a hint of purple color. It looks like it has shimmers but I find that when applied its pretty matt and boring and kind of doesn't do much for you unless you want some kind of dark neutral color.

Nothing spectacular here at all. Taupestry is a very soft slightly shimmery taupe, plain cement color. The shimmer doesnt show up as much as i would have liked giving this shade a rather boring nuetral color. Not super pigmented but nice for a subtle daytime look. Reminds me of BB cement. Nice but very plain shade. Retails for $13.50 and comes in a silver compact.
