I have been using this for years and years, and now my friends are using this too. I am talking about the basic, original Colgate Total, simple white toothpaste, I love the taste, the texture, it is my all time favorite. It also somehow keeps my teeth pretty white, SHINNY, beautiful, I never have cavities, hardly any plaque or whatever. I do believe that it really protects your teeth for hours and hours. Love this product and I keep using it as long as they make it. :-)))
(PS: if you have sensitive teeth. Don`t get the colgate sensitive one, that doesn`t help. But get the NEW Sensitive Pro. Not the whitening version, just the simple one. Rub it on the neck of your teeth, right by the gum for a minute, and voila, you can go to the dentist, you won`t have sensitive teeth. You will, later, once it wears off, but for INSTANT protection, love that one! Great stuff.)

I have tried this toothpaste in both the whitening and not whitening version. It is so strange but the non whitening version was awful! My mouth never felt clean and I would wake up with the grossest feeling mouth. HOWEVER I have now been using the whitening version for 3 weeks and I love it! It makes my mouth feel fresh and my teeth have gotten white so much faster than I expected. It's one of the first real whitening toothpastes I have use. It's much better than the scope whitening I never saw results as good with that one.

I had high hopes for this product, hoping that it would help clean my teeth well, whiten them and be good for my gums. A few days into using this, the sides of my mouth became extremely chapped and each day it got worse to where I had small rashes on the sides of my mouth. I couldnt figure it out until I realized it was from this toothpaste. I only got the extreme chapped/ rashes when I started using this product. I stopped using it and used another regular toothpaste and all the irritation went away! I think it was the triclosan in it, because Colgate total is the only toothpaste that has that ingredient. It wasnt until I researched triclosan, after I stopped using this toothpaste, that it is essentially a very dangerous and toxic pesticide (you dont want this in your mouth or on your skin). I would not recommend this at all.

I thought there would be no ¨beauty¨products that can do it all. But honestly, this gets close. It freshens breath, removes tartar (and keeps you from getting it), decreases tooth sensitivity (at least on my part), and keeps breath fresh. It also saves me the hassle of whitening my teeth often, this since makes them brighter and keeps stains away. And i drink a lot of coffee, my being a notorious earl greay drinker and novice into the Teavana world. I´m one of those people that have always loved going to my dentist just to see the happy look on his face when I go in for my check ups. He literally beams when he sees I´ve no tartar, no nothing. And people have always complemented on my teeth, asking me if they are real. Best toothpaste ever! Yes, that sounded corny but its really true.

I used to use Crest but I noticed that it didn't clean my teeth well. It also left my teeth yellow. So my mom recommended Colgate Total toothpaste. After my first brush, I was sparkling white! This is my lifesaver and so is Listerine! I only use Crest when I get travel-size samples from my dentist for traveling short trips.

This is the best! I use it for my pimples as well as my teeth. I use it as a face mask at night for 10 mins before I go to bed. I wake up and my skin looks and feels amazing!

This is my all time favorite toothpaste. I have been using this toothpaste for 12+ years and whenever I stray and try something else, I go running back to this HG toothpaste. The best thing is as a chronic tea drinker (I drink 4-5 cups a day), this toothpaste helps to keep my teeth from yellowing. Love it!!!

I love trying different toothpaste. But, I this has always been my favorite! Other brands have tried to copy this "total" concept and I was never pleased with the outcome. NOTHING beats Colgate's Total! I use the total w/ whitening and I'm a big coffee drinker and this really brightens my teeth. The flavor of total w/ whitening is very pleasant and not strong at all. Your teeth feel smooth and mouth refreshed!

I was so p.o.'d when I could no longer find Arm and Hammer's Age-Defying toothpaste with liquid calcium. It truly was a hg toothpaste. Then I went in for a cleaning not too long ago and was given a small tube of this. I love it! Really gets your teeth clean and leaves them super smooth. For someone that loves exfoliants, this is like exfoliation for your teeth-and I like it! Bonus: it doesn't feel as harsh as using plain ol' baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (something you definitely don't want to use everyday). Though I still miss my A & H, Colgate Total has taken its place on my bathroom sink. Will definitely be purchasing.

Dear Colgate, I love you and adore you! I have this in the whitening gel and its amazing. I have sensitive gums and this really helps me. This toothpaste does everything. I also love that it helps my enamel. Great stuff.

I've been using this product for 7 years! It could be a while before i go to the dentist, and they always say..." you havent been here in a while, amazing! theres hardly any tarter!!" i lovve love this toothpaste. it keeps my teeth white at all times!!! people always tell me how pretty and healthy my teeth look. my neigbor asked me were they my real teeth or did i have them made!. awwesome toothpaste.

This is the ONLY toothpaste I'll buy. It works great at making my mouth feel clean and fresh. Plus, I don't seem to have as much tarter build up since I've switched to this. I am a coffee drinker so I always pick up the whitening version and the other day my daughter told me that my teeth were so white they "glowed" lol...I don't buy into that, but I do think it helps keep my teeth from getting stained. My dentist recommends it also. I prefer the paste version to the gel, but that is just an individual preferance.

I'm very very biased. I'm a dentist and I reccomend this toothpaste to my patients. It's active ingredient tricoslan, is an anti-bacterial agent and it makes colgate total very effective. If you use this at night and you floss and brush thoroughly you'll definitly notice there's a big difference in morning breath. You'll also notice if you start the morning with it (brush after breakfast) your teeth will feel very smooth until lunch.

I love this toothpaste leaves my teeth feeling clean and looking clean. I just saw my dentist today for the first time since I was using it and he saw a huge improvement in my teeth :-)
