I have long, relaxed, coarse hair that needs a little extra tlc from time to time and I do feel satisfied in the condition of my hair with the use of this product. I happen to love the scent, its what I think powdered grapefruit would smell like... if there was such a thing, lol. Recommend.

Hate. This. Crap. It smells like floor cleaner and really dries out my processed hair. Pass.

Eh. I wanted to like this conditioner since I've had pretty good luck with other Burt's Bees products, but this doesn't really do a good job at conditioning my fine hair. First, the smell. I sniffed this prior to buying, but the actual smell of this conditioner is not unleashed until you squirt it into your palm. It smells TERRIBLE, like a cleaning detergent, even though the ingredients list boasts several citrus oils and is overall pretty natural. Fortunately the scent only lasts until I rinse my hair out. It has a really watery consistency, and I actually had to condition my hair twice before it was completely detangled. It was only after the second application that my hair felt sufficiently conditioned, and considering this isn't a cheap product, I expected it to perform better. Although I got it to work for me, I wouldn't repurchase or recommend.

OMG! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Let's begin with the smell. A cross between shoe polish and lemon Pledge. And it stays in your hair until you wash it out again. Awful. It literally sickens you to your stomach the smell! Second, the conditioner does nothing to soften or condition hair. It leaves my hair dry and staw like and horribly tangled. The price is ridulously expensive for a drugstore product, for the job it does and just in general. $7.97?? No. It should cost more like $1.50 and even that's too expensive for the horrible product this is. Overall, it's a horrible product. Do not buy it. The smell alone should put this product on the most horrible list. if i could give it a minus 5 lippies i would.

Others here may disagree, but to me this stuff smells like a furniture polish (or some other kind of household cleanser) rather than a hair care product. A very, very intense citrusy waxy smell that lingers in the bathroom, on my towel, and in my hair for several days after using it. A bit like conditioning your hair with Pledge or something. I've tried the shampoo in this line too, which was equally smelly and also too drying for my hair.
On the positive side, this is a relatively light deep conditioner that does a decent job of conditioning fine hair without weighing it down. I use it every week or so before washing my hair and it leaves the hair feeling smoother and stronger. Judging from the ingredients listed, it's also a genuinely organic product -- my tube even includes helpful information about what each ingredient is in there to do.
Sadly, the overwhelming smell of this product is truly a deal-breaker for me. I will not re-purchase.

It just doesn't work for anything but virgin hair. Fried hair will not like this and there'll be no difference.

I thought this was a pretty good hair treatment for my hair. I wish the consistency was a little thicker though. It made my hair feel very smooth and fuller after I used it. The smell was very strong but I didn't mind it.

First off, as another reviewer stated, this is not a deep conditioner in any way, shape, or form. If this is a deep conditioner for you then your hair probably doesn't need deep conditioning at all. I bought this knowing it was basically a regular rinse out conditioner with some nice ingredients. I cannot resist trying out conditioners but I will not be buying this again. The smell doesn't bother me- kind of citrusy bordering on bug repellant- yet doesn't linger at all. However, the tube is way too small (I used almost half in one wash) so it's not cost efficient for someone with long and/or curly/dry hair. I also didn't notice any level of conditioning above a 99 cent VO5 conditoner. I have mid back length 3c hair and this would never cut it as a DC- not thick enough, not moisturizing enough, and it lacks ingredients that actually penetrate your hair. If you need an actual deep condtioner look elsewhere- I like Aubrey Organics (any cond) and coconut oil.

Saw this advertised in one of my beauty mags as being good for dry hair. For the record, I have dry, hilited, wavy/curly hair. Compared to the other conditioners I get, this was super cheap at my local CVS. I liked its scent, lightly fruity but with the doughy-smell of shea butter. Unfortunately, the product was not that great. Thick consistency, but, as with other shea butter products, my hair just doesn't seem to get moisturized at all, the conditioner just seems to leave a heavy coating on my hair. But, if this works for you, awesome as overall the line is great for cheap, natural products.

My twin sister and I both like this product. She has more oily hair and I have more dry hair.
This conditioner did not dry out my ends and on my sis' hair it did not make it oily.
:) love it

I buy this all the time! Although I wish it was cheaper. I have lots of thick wavy hair. The smell is so crisp and refreshing. I think the consistancy is thick, but i agree it disapears into the hair fast because its all natural! No alcohol or chemicals so it absorbs right away. My hair transformed with this stuff! It took away the dry ends and makes my hair more managable. I would reccomend this for sure!

I do not like the Shea& Grapefruit DEEP Conditioner, it is not nearly as good as the regular Shea& Grapefruit Conditioner which i am in love with. The deep conditioner is did not leave my hair feeling soft, and it is very difficult to figure out how much you need. I used half of the bottle and it didn't seem like that was even enough! which was very weird. the texture is so light and it dissapears into my hair when applied with no effect.

I'm giving it 4 just for the smell alone - so fresh and intense and delicious. It's full of good stuff, so I assume some additional benefit is being derived. Don't really care - it's day-spa type treat just to smother it on and luxuriate in the scent. I come back for more when I run out.

I wanted to like this product! The smell was great, the mix of ingredients seemed great but it doesn't seem to work for my hair at all. I don't notice any suppleness or texture change after using it. It doesn't make my hair any softer when all is said and done either. In fact, like others here noted, it seemed to make my hair feel drier! I have fine, straight to wavy hair so maybe it's best for people with thicker hair. I'm glad other have liked it but for me it will not be a re-purchase.

I think this stuff is GREAT! One of the best conditioners I have ever used. Now I am going for more `natural` products, as the chemical ones usually make the hair/skin nice only for a short while, and you have to keep using them in the long run because the own condition of your natural skin/hair is just getting worse. Anyway, this stuff is pretty NATURAL, I love the texture, the smell, everything! I DON`T like conditioners that give you the `flat hair` look, because I have permed hair and I like it curly. This stuff is light, so it never weighs down my fine hair, but makes it really soft. And for me it is quite cheap, around $7.99. Pretty good for a natural, light conditioner, my favorite! :-) I think I get the best results like some other people, if I just leave my hair AIR-DRY!!!...I would not call it a DEEP conditioner though, just a regular one, for a DEEP treatment look for something else...
(I also LOVE: the BB citrus face scrub...., and the Milk&Honey body wash...., and this hair conditioner, these are my 3 fav.BB products!)

I liked this conditioner. I like strong fragrances so this didn't bother me at all. I love the creamy consistency of the conditioner. I put this on on Sundays with a self heating conditioning cap and let it sit. I'm really bad for letting conditioner sit in my hair for hours. Over-conditioning can be a problem with some conditioners because of this. That wasn't the problem with this one. But for the price, I need better results. My hair comes out stiff and hard when I use this. So for this reason, I won't purchase this particular conditioner again.

This left my hair dry and straw-like. I'm very disappointed and definitely wouldn't ever buy this again. It also mildews quickly since there are no preservatives.

This was one of the most disappointing new products I've tried this year. The tube was very expensive for the amount of product you get, you have to use a ton of it to actually coat your hair, and worst of all it made my hair appear *drier* than before, rather than deep conditioned. Even when your hair is wet and you have the product in, you don't get the feeling that it is doing anything other than drying out your hair. There is no slippery feeling like you get with other deep conditioning treatments, this feels like it's tangling your hair when you have it in. After using this conditioner I now have flyaway problems for the first time, and my hair looks and feels dry and brittle after a single use.
The smell starts off as a very pleasant grapefruit smell, but then this undertone of something musty hits you and spoils it. I can still smell this stuff on my hair hours later, and I'm not happy about it. A huge waste of money, and my hair looks worse than it has in ages.

I continue my hunt for a less expensive Healthy Sexy Hair Pumpkin Puree Mask replacement... this is DEFINITELY not it. The smell was nice and it was good and thick, but as soon as I applied it to my hair it felt wrong, waxy and uneven. I left it in for the appropriate amount of time, rinsed it out... rinsed it... rinsed it... spent a good ten minutes just rinsing and I felt like it had coated my hair in candle wax, it was awful. I got out of the shower and let my hair dry and it looked terrible: stringy, oily, and dull, not at all what I'd like in a deep conditioner. I jumped back in the shower, shampooed a few times, applied my PPM and sighed in relief. The hunt continues...
