As with the Demaq Elixir makeup remover, which I've also reviewed, this facial wash also broke me out badly across the cheekbones and forehead, where I rarely breakout. It also has the same cloying, cheap smell and leaves a powerful residue that seemed to defy all toner attacks! The smell lingered on my skin long after washing. It did remove my full-coverage mineral makeup but isn't as powerful as the Elixir. It didn't unclog my pores though, and was more drying than the elixir, so I stopped using it after about 10 days due to the breakout and my general disatisfaction with the product. I bought it for about £3 for 150ml as the Demaq range is often on sale in various shops where I live. I'm not sure whether this has different names in different countries, but mine is called "Demaq Expert Velvet Creme Wash Expert Make-up Remover" and is the green tube. Like the Elixir, I give it 2 because it does work, it just isn't for my sensitive, acne-prone skin and I steer clear of the Demaq range.

Decided to try this out since I had another makeup remover in the same range that worked well.
Can't say I love or hate this product. It doesn't actually foam like it says in the description, its more like a milky lather texture, it does however remove makeup like a pro, my heavy water proof eyeliner and mascara came off after a few rubs. It does come with a few cons though:
Cons: Tastes horrible, whilst washing it got to the corners of my lips and it tasted like baby wipes or moisturizers :S Secondly it's not ideal to wash on the eyes, as it's hard to remove eyeliner between lashes, I had to use a cotton bud/q-tip to get to hard to reach corners. Lastly it left my face (which is combination skin) slighty dry but not to the point that it needs a deep quench with a heavy moisturizer, it might not be a con for really oily skin people though because it leaves the skin oily shine free :)
Cost me approx. £5.80 from Boots. Which was the same as the de-maq absolute eye &lip make-up remover, but it has 25ml more product and comes in a better packaging that doesn't make the product go everywhere. For now i'm going to have to use this up, but personally I wouldn't go for it again.

definitely not working for me... i could never foam it up properly and cleansing power was low...always had to wash twice to get my makeup off...so disappointing...the only good thing is that it wasn't drying on skin but is definitely not worth the prize!
not buying again...

I like this product. Very effective, but gentle. I like that I can use it for my eyes, too. Doesn't dry my skin out. I use Differin afterwards and all the AHA/BHA cleansers dried my skin out badly. But this one doesn't. I just don't like the smell. Very chemically.
EDIT: While I still like it I haven't repurchased. Not sure why. Also I really can't stand the smell!

Although this is under suspicion of being complicit in the Great Contact Lens Ruination plot (see my other reviews for products not suitable to soft contact lens wearers), I like this. It does a good job as a cleanser and is quite nice to use, athough I agree with the reviewer who mentioned the aftertaste (how the hell does it get in my mouth??) and it stinks, as all the De'Maq products seem to. But I'll carry on using it for now, to see if it definitely ruins my lenses. I'm not sure if I'll buy again, I'll try something else first and see if I come back to it. Works, but I'm sure there's something better.

ingredients: ethylhexyl palmitate, ethylhexyl stearate, aqua, glycerin, decyl glucoside, beheneth-10, coco-betaine, silica, tea-lauryl sulfate, acrylamide, isohexadecane, polyquaternium-47, polysorbate 80, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, methylparaben, ethylparaben, green 6, parfum, benzyl salicylate, benzyl benzoate, hydroxycitronellal, citronellol, limonene, alpha-isomethyl ionone, linalool, (FIL B26721/1).
Great stuff. Very effective, removes all makeup, even hardcore waterproof mascara in one wash.
Nice gel-cream texture, you only need a small amount, it lathers quite a bit.
It's very gentle, doesn't dry out my skin , doesn't sting my eyes. Leaves skin feeling very clean, but soft and hydrated at the same time.
It's green, and smells faintly of cucumbers. I find that funny for some reason.
Contains perfume, parabens, salicylates.
I use it as a cleanser, not just for removing makeup, no need for a second product, since I figure - it's all dirt, it's not like the cleanser can tell the difference between makeup and other... dirt. It noticeably cleared up my skin. Haven't gotten cosmetic acne (or any other kind for that matter) since I started using it.

This did not work for me at all. For one it didn't seem to clean all that well, left my skin feeling tight and irritated and after the third use it started to sting my face upon application. And my skin isn't all that sensitive. Secondly, the smell was so strong and somehow it got in my mouth and left a terrible aftertaste. All in all, gross and unpleasent to use. Save your money!

I bought this after a recommendation from a friend when I felt I needed a cleanser that would remove all makeup in the evening (I'm one of those lazy girls that hate having to use a separate remover for eye makeup). The first thing I noticed with this was the nice scent and the silky feel. Once applied to my wet face it felt really mild and smooth and I thought for sure that it wouldn't do much for removing mascara. To my surprise there wasn't one trace of makeup left in my face once I was done. Wohaa, a keeper. Perfect for cleansing my face in the evening, I have a feeling I'll continue buynig this. Definitely doesn't sting your eyes either.
