I am using shade 40, on top of the moisturising primer shade 2.
I've gone to various brands to try out compact foundations and found that this brand works well for me. Coverage is medium to high. It's a cream but after you put it on it becomes powder. it is very light, so you don't feel like you have on you tons of make up. it doesn't make my pores look bigger (heard that, bobbi?) and together with the primer, leaves me looking radiant. which is a look i have not achieved in a long time.
Overall a good purchase, i think you should give it a try if it suits your skin type. i'm a combination dry, and it's worked for me so far.
Update: This broke me out badly (I do not break out much to begin with) and I stopped using it for a couple of weeks. I'm going to use it again to make sure the cause of the breakouts is due to this and not something else. Will keep you posted.

First of all, this is obviously not for oily skins (read=moisturizing) so it will provide moisture. I used this last year in the shade 30, which was a great color match. I was using Retin-A gel which had dried out my skin considerably. The compact foundations are usually cream-to-powder formulations so if you don't exfoliate well they will adhere to flakes (I've found this to be universal). If you tend to flake, a creme in a tub or liquid foundation would be a better formulation. The lasting power and coverage were both excellent--the coverage was layerable up to medium-full. The finish was luminous and not flat, cakey or mask-like. I would not re-purchase because I only needed this for when I was using Retin-A as my skin is oily-combo otherwise.

I bought this because of the SPF in it. I use to use Olay spf lotion but it makes my face super oily plus the liquid foundation. Packaging is nice, but the sponge size is abit annoying.
It keeps my face matte as I have oily skin. I may not buy this again because it is quite pricey.

hmmm...this is actually quite an odd foundation! The good side is that on me it does give a luminous, smooth texture and appearance that feels quite light on the other hand it shows flakes on my skin that i never knew i had! lol, so its light and moisturising but creates these random flakes in my skin.

I had a bad experience with this foundation. Based on the positive reviews I was expecting a great product. I am NW20. I ordered the 20.
Also, it was a bit too yellow for me, even though the website described this color as pink-toned.
I applied it twice and both times there was an appearance of cakiness on my skin. I exfoliate frequently. I used different foundations and did not have this affect. There is some shimmers in the foundation that maybe cause this, I don't know. I am sending it back to Amazon.

I just love to pull this retro pink case out of my bag for touch ups. As well as how it does not dry my skin and the finish is satiny <3
I have the creamy powder compact foudnation...Ijust saw that there is a similar one, the one I am reviewing comes in the round compact.
Such a nice product to own.

I managed to get this product during sales. Managed to get it for only USD25 the compact and refill at USD 17. I bought 2 units of (03 Clair) and 2 units of (01 Ivory). I bought 2 colour cos the SA said that the compact will oxides after sometimes.
The coverage is good, i don't need any concealer at all. I just apply 1 thin layer then balance of the foundation just press on blemish area. It is more powdery than creamy (As compared to Bobbi Brown). I love my skin this morning, it is so smooth and bright with radiance. By noon, my skin still looks fresh and no oxidation at all. I just blot on my T-zone, makeup is still there more natural. I do have peeling skin on my nose area cos i am down with flu, it did not emphasis that area at all. I love love the compact case, very lady like and good design.
P&J quality is superb. I am willing to pay actual price after my 4 compacts are used up. That would be next year. Hope there will be more sales for this wonderful brand:) It is much better that SKII whitening compact, it gave me burning sensation and make my skin very tight. This is 6 star brand IMO.
Update: 24-Feb-09 : I hate this compact now. And I am not even done with my 1st compact. Expensive with Lousy quality.

This compact foundation is actually more of a creamy fdtn than a powder, the consistency is similar to concealer, but thankfully isn't as heavy. Coverage is so good you only need to dab once lightly with the sponge it comes with for each half of your face, and apply with upward-circular motions. This helps cover up pores and actually really does give the appearance of "lifted" skin. I would say it has medium-high to high coverage, since even minor acne scars are rendered invisible to the eye, while the undereye still needs to be worked on. That said, Kryolan's creamy foundation might be the only high coverage fdtn in my book for it's ability to demolish even undereye circles, but unfortunately it breaks me out :(
The downside to this foundation is that you need fully moisturized, supple skin to begin with, otherwise the flakiness shows, perhaps more so than other liquid or cream foundations, I don't have this problem with my RMK and LUNASOL cream fdtns. I do like the airbrushed effect it produces however, and come winter its weakness of lack of oil control won't be much of an issue (it is marketed as a winter foundation here in Taiwan).
I have this in #30, a very natural color, since I wanted something identical to original skin color so that highlighting will stand out more, #20 works for me too, although it's a little on the pink-toned side. For reference I am Dior #200, Chanel #15 Opaline, GA LSF #5, MAC NC20-25.
