Lemon candy. I bought a bottle of DinDan, expecting it to be a good pick-me-up in our extremely hot summers. It’s light, sweet, uncomplicated, linear. I appreciate that it’s well made and approachable. DinDan avoids two pitfalls of lemon scents: It doesn’t open like furniture polish, and it doesn’t sour on my skin. But for some reason, I rarely reach for it.
Not as creamy as Mono d’Orio Lux. Not as charming as (d/c) Institut Bien’s a la Francaise.
Medium sillage, good longevity

This fragrance reminds of the powdered country time peach lemonade mix. This is neither too sweet, or too tart. This is probably a good citrus fragrance for someone who usually finds lemon fragrances too zesty or sour since Din-Dan is very mellow. Din-Dan is not complex or ground breaking, but it is still a pretty, feminine citrus fragrance that is easy to wear.

I love Lann-Ael and had to try this unisex/kids scent. It smells very much like the "colonia de bebe" that I've purchased in Spain and Colombia. A+ for it's pretty and slightly sharp lemon note. It fades into a pretty, soft lemon and disappears quickly. Oh how I would love buying this fragrance for my kids. Alas, we don't have the bucks to throw down $75 on perfume for tots. I suppose if I had an extra $75 lying around, I would likely spend it on perfume for myself before it went to my kiddos, who are exceedingly young and have no need for a scent. If this scent were priced at $30, I would be all over it. My kids would wear it whenever they wanted to and I probably would, too, from time to time in the summer.

To my nose, this fragrance opens with a pure lemon but the drydown is more reminiscent of a tea scent with hints of lemon and peach. Perhaps it's the peach note that take my olfactory memory to iced tea, but that's the effect I get. Still, it's a lovely and cheerful scent. I think I was just a little disappointed because I wanted more of a pure lemon. I'll till enjoy this one immensely.

Nice lemon, almost a verbena, not a true minty note. I like it, I would maybe buy it again, but it is no better than Loves' Fresh Lemon or other verbena fragrances you might find easier and cheaper.

This is a gentle lemon scent. Zesty top notes that dries down fast to a soft pink lemonade scent. It's ok but I like AG Eau de Sud for my zest fix.

In a word: drinkable. Din Dan is a punchbowl of pink lemonade with pink rose petals floating on top. (Don't ask me if it has rose. Probably not. Something about it just evokes dewy tea roses. It has the succulence of Lancome Mille et Une Roses, if not the notes.) The tart-sweet lemon topnotes mellow out with the drydown, but the scent never turns plasticky or cartoonishly one-dimensional like other gourmand scents. Nor does the tart citrus become "sweaty." Instead, an exceptionally agreeable, airy musk emerges, lending a "fresh and clean" aspect that bears no resemblance to soap or detergent. I could see this fragrance appealing to people of all ages. Din Dan is exactly the kind of scent I begin craving in March; it's the essence of summer in a tall, dripping glass with swirling ice and pink-lipglossed straw. (For you drinkin' gals: what you got here is a nice frosty Lemon Drop with a tiny drop of grenadine.)

This uncomplicated little summer scent is kind of perfect in its own way - a burst of fresh lemon is tempered by a soft, fresh mint note and delicious, sweet peach. It dries down to a lovely lemon-vanilla musk that stays close to the skin. Din-Dan is unexpectedly charming, and it makes me think of the best days of my childhood.

DinDan is an uncomplicated non-sweet lemon scent with a hint of lime. It is best described by comparing it to others in its genre. Fresh's Sugar EDP (not Lemon Sugar) is lemon with a dash of vanilla. Mona di Orio's Lux is meyer lemon gently rounded out by amber and a hint of marshmallow at the very end. Guerlain's Philtre d'Amour starts off lemony but then develops an intense petitgrain note that becomes aggressively masculine (and almost unbearable to someone who prefers a lighter fragrance). Of course, the gold standard of lemon scented perfumes is that old 70's classic, Love's Fresh Lemon Cologne, which is what DinDan resembles most closely in terms of smell and staying power.

Din-Dan is my go-to-happy scent for when I want a cheerful fragrance. The lemon used here is simply nice - it isn't too tart, it's not too sweet, and there's nothing Pledge-like about it. It's smooth and well balanced. The drydown is an especially soft, faintly-sweet lemon scent that reminds me of lemon sorbet. - smooth and mellow. And Din-Dan is nice when you want a simple fragrance because this is lemon and not much more - it isn't going to morph into anything unexpected. Lasting power is fair, but it's light enough that reapplication isn't a problem. Worth a try.

About 15 years ago I had a friend that always smelled fresh in a lemony, soft way. I asked him what he used that might be responsible for that scent. He took me into his bedroom and showed me his secret. It was a childrens fragrance (alcohol free) by Givenchy called Tartine Et Chocolate Ptisenbon, the one in the blue bottle. I was so enamoured with that scent that hot summer day I went right out to a local childrens boutique that carried it and bought a large bottle. I used the entire bottle and bought another one and I used that one up too. I still have a bottle and while I do not use it exclusively like I used to I always want a bottle of it around. It is uncanny how much Din Dan reminds me of this fragrance. It smells like a freshly shampooed and bathed baby. The lemon is not really bright to me, it is a softer lemon with some sweetness and very subtle powder. Picture johnsons's baby shampoo, seriously, this is really reminiscent of that too after completely dried down on my skin. It is not in the same category as Carthusia's Meditterraneo which is a real live lemon, juice, skin and all. That one is my holy grail lemon fragrance. Din Dan definitely smells like a childrens cologne to me and I really like it a lot.The lasting power is better than the Givenchy one I mentioned and it is a tad more suited to adults but it is definitely something that anyone could wear, man woman or chld just as the website states. If it was easily available I would buy a bottle but considering the exchange rate and the fact that I already have a scent that is extremely close to it, I would hold off on a full bottle purchase till it becomes easier to find.

Din-Dan is bottled sunshine. It's the zestiest, most invigorating lemon fragrance I've ever worn. If you love Soleil de Capri for a few minutes but get bored with it when the initial blast of citrus fades, try this. Here's the description from the Lostmarc'h website:
Eau de toilette for her, for him, the whole family. The bracing scents of a bouquet of verbena. The phenomenal freshness of zesty lemon. Head note of fresh lemon, with an afterscent of mint and peach blossom. Din-Dan means "underbrush" in Breton.
I don't notice the mint note at all, but the peach blossom is apparent, sweetening the fragrance a bit and keeping it from being pure lemon oil or Lemon Pledge. It's simple but wonderful. I'll definitely need a bottle for next summer.
