Wow. I got an imp of this with a recent order, and I couldn't help but be knocked over by the sheer lemony stench upon opening!
On my skin it was a tinge less intense, but then I began to smell like cloying lemon pound cake and herbal tea. I don't see how any of that is related to vampires, let alone sadness. It's much too sunny and sweet...but in a bad way.

In Vial: Smells lemony and sweet, like lemon sugar cookies
Wet: Very lemony, like lemon drops. In the back ground I can smell what I think is the grape fruit.
Dry down: Still lemony but more of the musk coming to the surface balancing the sweetness and the lemon. Not as foody now as it was earlier.
and later...I hardly smell the lemon now. There is not one scent that seems stronger than the others, just a blend, more perfumy, less foody. Still not for me

shojo beat
notes: Regret born from ceaseless longing: wisteria, white grapefruit, neroli, green tea, jasmine, white ginger, honeysuckle, iris, and tonka.
in the vial: expectedly light and pleasant. the green tea really stands out, and it almost smells a bit like sweet-tarts candy.
wet on skin: not so much. i smell something thats just off or sharp, and its not pleasant. its a bit like cat musk. sorry. maybe its a jasmine-ginger combination.
dry down: it quickly approaches gas station bathroom air freshener territory. i swear i get cherry, cat pee, rotten ginger. gahhh. how can such lovely sounding notes be so foul together? it continues to be noxious, with different notes becoming predominant throughout the dry down. it eventually settles into kind of a sparkling lemon scent thats pleasant enough, but its not worth the rest of it just to get to that.
verdict: if i was a vampire and my tears stunk to high hell, id make sure never to cry. ive only tried this one once, which was plenty. no thanks.

This fragrance is described as "Regret born from ceaseless longing: wisteria, white grapefruit, neroli, green tea, jasmine, white ginger, honeysuckle, iris, and tonka."
Hmmm well the tonka is very pronounced in this fragrance at first. It is beginning to morph on my skin into something radiant. Ooo it's changing! I can smell the green tea and ginger. Delish! The tonka is taking a backseat to glowing beautiful citrus notes. It is a scent that is close to the skin. I don't think "Vampire Tears" when I smell this...the fragrance is much too bright and sunny for that name. When I smell this I think of lying on a wooden deck chair in the warm sun on a beautiful beach.
