Im basing this review simply on a sample i got from this product.

I have had a Revive moisturizing renewal cream sample on my makeup bag for a few months now. I wasn't sure where it came from, and i didn't know anything from the brand, so i never got around to using it. The other day I wanted to moisturize my face after exfoliating so I decided to use the sample that was laying around. I didn't know how much it cost and I hadn't read any reviews. The first time I used it, I noticed it was very thick and a little product went a very long way. My face felt oily tho and very strange so I thought it was a relatively cheap product from sephora or so. The next day I decided to use it again and again it felt a bit oily. I didn't like the initial feel it had but I did notice my skin was softer. I looked in the mirror a few hours later and noticed a blemish on my right cheek had vanished, and my face looked brighter. Upon closer inspection I also noticed that my one wrinkle in between my eyebrows was much less noticeable. That was very weird because that wrinkle has been clearly visible in my face since I can remember! Thats when I decided to look up the product and saw how much it cost and the great reviews it had gotten. I've used this product twice and it worked like magic. Im not sure if i will purchase it soon, but i will visit a lot of stores and ask for samples.

I was excited to try this moisturizer but it totally let me down. I was allergic to it, my cheek area got flared up so badly, I suppose it would be a really nice cream for someone who has combination or oily skin, but definitely not for sensitive skins

I absolutely love this product. I am a product junkie, so I routinely move from product to product and have an absurd number of serums, moisturizers, treatments, etc. For years, however, I have routinely gone back to Revive. As context, I have combination skin that can both break out and be very dry (I also use many exfoliating products, including Retin-A micro). Whenever my skin is acting up, I can put this on at night and my skin looks a 100% better in the morning. It both smooths and plumps and, in my case at least, helps with any ongoing breakout. I have tried an absurd number of moisturizers, and while I also like Cerave (complete opposite price wise!), this remains my favorite. It seems to be the perfect combo of exfoliating and moisturizing. It is clearly an investment, so I wouldn't buy this without getting a sample 1st, since everyone reacts to creams differently, but for my skin this is actually worth the money.

I don't usually write reviews on here but I really want to write about this cream as I am a complete convert. I have been looking for good night cream for ages now - have been applying retinols etc. for nearly a year to decrease fine lines and get rid of sun spots but wasn't convinced by the dryness I experienced with them. Now I have found this - and I'm not going back.
Yes, it does sting a little on application sometimes - but that is because it has active ingredients that ACTUALLY WORK! I have been using this for three months and my skin is glowy and soft, with improved texture, the fine lines around my mouth and eyes are plumped and smoothed, and I'm happy not to wear make-up everyday.
I came to this cream via their counter in Liberty's London - the staff there are really helpful and stopped me buying the much more expensive Intensive version that I had read about (the other cream was also twice as expensive so good on them!). They said I was too young for that version of the cream and to use this one first or I would have "nowhere to go" as I got older. How right they were! It is amazing! And you only need the tiniest amount - the advisor said the jar should last me nearly a year - so if you add up 3x£30 of my usual night cream, I'm actually making a saving so don't be put off by the price - ask for a sample!
NB: The slight exfoliating action mean that if you wear this cream during the day it pills a little so keep it for a night cream and apply your normal SPF during the day. :) x

I'm a true skincare junkie in every sense of the word. I was introduced to this line by a blogger who skin looks great with or without make-up. The first night of application I used only a pea size amount of product. Its very important to keep this away from the eye area since upon application there is a slight sting. But its nothing unbearable. About 15 mintutes of application I noticed my skin was just glowing.....literally. I had a nice glow that wasn't greasy looking. It was that glow you only wish of having with liquid foundation. The next morning I noticed my skin looked a tad clearer. And two blackheads that I had were actually purged out....enough for me to just take a warm baby face cloth and extract with no difficulty at all. I only had ONE single small white head zit and I think it was just my skin purging. Another nice feature to add is that when I applied the cream my skin didn't feel tight. With the dry, cold weather my other moisturizer just wasn't doing its job and my skin was soaking it up and my skin would feel super tight shortly afterwards. There isn't anything I would change about this moisturizer. I must warn you that this stuff is quite pricey so if you are willing to spend money for some hardcore results and money is no object...go for it.

Well, not sure what happened. I might have bought a contaminated jar. Smell was offensive. Husband said my skin looked bad after usage. My face did clear up after I stopped Revive usage. Not for dry skin.

Ok, so I've been using this product so long, I feel like I have to review it.

I have very funky, combination skin and easily breakout. I tried everything before I used Revive, including other high end brands. I only tried Revive because they gave me a couple handfuls of free samples. I was a little wary about using it because of my acne and it wasn't a acne targeting product and I thought it would be too moisturizing on my super oily skin, but no.

This is by far the best product I have ever used. It has slowly and surely cleared up my face, so I'm no longer ashamed to walk around without make-up. It's also a God-send in the winter when I would normally get tons of dry skin on my nose and chin.

I can't say if it had much effect on the oiliness of my skin because I also changed to Bare Mineral foundation around that time and I think that had a lot to do with that particular change in appearance.

I use this product with lots of other products, including Shu Uemura's pink oil cleanser (the name escapes me), St. Ives apricot scrub, ect ect, and the only thing I can say negative against it is that it can erase a fake tan like nothing else.

Yes, it is expensive, but it lasts FOREVER. Especially if you use it in tandem with the Sensitif during the day (in the winter I use MRC day and night, but it still lasts and lasts.)

This product completely changed my skin. I bought it on a whim from Mecca Cosmetica in Australia about 5 years ago when I got my first big paycheck. In about 1 month, it completely changed my skin. I used to have lots of little bumps and blackheads but now, and for the last 5 years, I have just had lovely, glowing skin. When I don't use it for a few days and go back to it I can tell the difference - my skin burns a bit when I put it on but I wake up in the morning looking fabulous. I never break out on this product.

It's not for everyone but it's my wonder cream. I'm 27, with combination skin and overall a very diligent skincare routine. It turned my skin around completely and I have never looked back. I have used AHAs/BHAs but never gotten quite the same result.

ps. It's a bit expensive.

This is one of the few products that will make my skin tingle & peel slightly. This has very active and strong ingredients i.e. glycolic acid. This product will cause skin/cell turn over, helping to leave you with fresh skin and a healthy glow. A good anti-aging product with repetitive use. Not a miracle product, but a great base product for any anti-aging skin regimen.

I was hoping to love this moisturizer but it really doesn't do anything amazing. My skin looks reasonably moisturized but nothing more than a drug store product could do. I was hoping it was going to give me that glowing, dewey look but it didn't.

Edited to add: Ok, that might have been premature. I've now been using this for almost a month and think my face is looking quite a bit better, it just looks hydrated and well cared for. I'd increase this to 4.5 stars if I could.

well ill begin by saying that i have only used this for about two months and this is the story so far..............
i live in israel and we dont have "revive" sold here in department stores
so until now i used two other VERY top brands such as "la prairie" and "la mer" (witch are sold here at stores among other brands) and i was very pleased with them, but i felt i wanted to try somthing else and when i decide to try a new brand i BUY all of the line!!!
so i heard the rave about the revive brand and wanted it
now the problem here is that be cause revive is not sold here then i would need to take a risk and buy online without the option to go to the store and try some before i buy the big jar
so i ordered a bunch of revive products online (all of them cost me around 1500 us dollars)
plus i ordered the "clarisonic skincare brush"
now i just started with this cream and i wanted to LOVE it sooooo bad (cause i read so many great reviews about it) and so far no good!!!
i really cant say anything good about it.
i dont see the "GREAT GLOW" and the most bad part of it is that i suffer from severe breakouts on my forhead since using this (my skin was VERY smooth before)
i called the company and they said to wait 2 weeeks for the breakouts to go away. so ill wait and keep you guys posted
sarai from israel :-)
UPDATE:12.23.2010
so i promesed i would update and i just stoped using this!!!
this has got to be THE WORST CREAM I HAVE EVER PUT ON MY FACE!!!
so many breakouts,NO MOISTURIZING EFFECTS,no "glow" just a felling of anguish and distress that i spent over 1500 us dollars for my new revive skincare regimen and insted of felling good i felt like i was tricked
but i only have MYSELF TO BLAME!!!
i left what i loved and used for the past 4 years
to try somthing new.
now im going back to what i love (la prairie,la mer,and some chanel) and my face will thank me so much
p.s. all the other products i bought from revive along with this cream turned out like shit.
the only thing i liked from ALL the things i bought from them was the gel cleanser "revive cleanser gentil"

This Moisturizing Renwal Cream is amazing if you use it correctly and every NIGHT. this line is ground breaking marriage where science meets skin care! also, using a clarisonic face bruch with this whole line and I strongly believe that your skin will be the best it has ever looked.

I will begin by saying that I am a licensed esthetician, and I have tried every anti-aging skin treatment available! I have been in pursuit of the perfect night treatment that will provide rapid cell-turnover, exfoliation, collagen synthesis, and retexturizing of my skin all in the one button concept - and I finally found the solution in ReVive's Moisturizing Renewal Cream. I am not exaggerating - I have fair, dry, thin skin, over forty. My areas of concern are uneven tone, texture, fine lines, and I have rosacea! I cannot use retinoids. This cream has been my salvation. Featuring a wee bit, probably less than 10% glycolic, and the Epidermal Growth Factor (which by the way won the 1985 Nobel Prize for wound and burn healing), plus many powerful antioxidants, this is a superb treatment cream to use beneath a stronger moisturizer, if desired. This is an amazing treatment and worth every penny - there is nothing like it on the market. I assure you; I work in retail beauty and have tried it all. You will not be disappointed.

I wanted it to work for me so bad! I had the whole ReVive skincare routine planned for me! It said that it will make your skin clear but it might cause some breakouts which should stop in about 2 to 3 weeks. So I was prepared to wait for the sake of clear skin in the future. That 2-3 week period extended for over 10 weeks of heavy breaking out. 10 weeks of new pimples every day, and the situation seemed to be getting worse. So I decided that it was it. I gave up and will not be coming back. Sorry, ReVive. I guess some things are just not meant for some people. I would recommend trying a sample before you buy a full size. The cream itself has a nice smell and consistency, moisturizes well.

I used this for a month and stopped. I wasn't crazy about the smell and it left my skin a little oily after I used it. I also didn't notice any major difference in my skin. There is a slight tingly feeling once on your skin but it doesn't burn. It feels like something is happening but after a month I didn't see any difference at all. I thought this would smooth out skin texture since it claims to do so but I didn't get to experience it. I will definately not be repurchasing.

This is a very strong version of Alpha Hydrox. It burns for a couple of minutes when you first apply it. You can also feel it sitting on top of your skin, like a dried gel. Not pleasant.
I will say that my skin looked good and my pores were smaller the next morning after using this but no more than with other potent alpha hydroxy acid products. And I could still feel that dried goop feeling on my face the next morning. I also resent the marketing gimmick of deliberately pricing something so high. There is no justification for it except to trick the consumer into thinking it is something special.
Any strong alpha hydroxy acid procuct will give you pretty skin, and most are a lot less in price than this. If you like the sample you can get of this at a store like Saks, try some Alpha Hydrox for ten bucks from the drugstore.

Felt really nice going on - about 2 weeks later I developed huge cystic acne under my skin. I'm on Tazorac and this hasn't happened in about 2 years. Stopped using the cream and (after waiting the month for the ance to go away) haven't gotten the acne again since. So not good for me, maybe not for acne-prone skin in general.

I am on the fence with this cream. I had a jar and swapped it. Bought it again a year later. The theory of the cream is exactly what I want but the execution is not there. The cream is a nice consistency. I do find that it stings a tiny bit when I apply it. This happens on my cheeks only and its very manageable, not a big deal at all. The cream does not absorb right into my skin however. It sits there, and leaves a residual amount on my skin. My other creams don't do this so I don't think its my technique in application. It has a slightly oily residue although honestly, I don't know if there is any oils in this cream- its how it reacts with me. I have not noticed any changes in my skin. I am half way through the jar. I probably will not repurchase.
