I own 3 lipsticks. All 3 lipsticks are Shu Rouge Unlimited (before the revamp). I see no point in messing around with another brand and it distresses me that they only have the new Rouge Unlimiteds now (I dislike the new packaging and hear the formula is different AND that the candied orange blossom scent is no more- WEEPS). Yes, they're slightly cheaper now but it's also not 3.7g anyway. The formula of these lipsticks is great, even my matte one.

I love the packaging of these lipsticks to the point that I sideeyed Model's Own's similar one that I saw and thought it was a ripoff. The tube is sturdy plastic and possesses a lovely, functional aesthetic. They can also be taken apart and reassembled.

However, I will say that I never expected one of my lipsticks to lock on me. That was disappointing.

Anyway bottom line is I need to suss out more of these discontinued lipsticks. Why is it that your favourites always get the kibosh??? I only have 3 of these ie not enough!!!

I got BG 935, which is an absolutely beautiful colour, and I love the shine and how it looks. Unfortunately it has a slightly gritty texture which I find very off-putting, which I'm guessing is the result of the shimmer.

the smoothness, creaminess and pigmentation of this lipstick RAWK. i got a BG 949 which looks like a nude-brown but looked mauve-ish on my pigmented lips so i'm going to pass this to my mom who might have better results with it. that said, the lipstick is so so so creamy it felt so luxurious. the coverage is sheer-buildable. there is a scent to it.. can't quite put my finger on the smell but it's not overpowering.

I own this in BG 949. I didn't realize that it is cool tones since I swatched it only on my hand. When worn alone, I look awful with it. But when I use something warm toned underneath this lippy, it becomes the perfect beige pink nude! My only beef about this product is the scent and that's the only reason I'm not buying again. Plus I have other lippies to use up. Overall, I am loving this lippy. :)

I own more than 10 Shu Uemura lipsticks. I love all of them. The textures are very nice. My favorite one is PK316. It is creamy and well pigmented.

Just bought shu uemura's unlimited rouge in Pk 347. Im lovin the shade right now, it's medium pink, described as vivid sandy rose in shu's website. Doesn't dry out my lips, the saying power is average, after 4 hrs frm application w/o eating or drinking, i need to reapply again. Nice for night outs or during day time at work. I have 2 faves, Nars Niagara & Shu's Pk 347. I like to try Pk 316 but it's out of stock. Any reviews on shu's Pk 316? Is it lighter or medium pink?

I have this in several colors but my current favorite is PK 344 and I wear it almost everyday. I love pink lipsticks. I still love my snob and angel but those can be too matte. And since I don't like to wear separate gloss on top of my lipstick just for the shine, this lipstick is perfect. It is glossy and moisturizing enough that I don't need to put anything on top of it. The color payoff is superb too. I find just one layer is enough in getting the color I want but it surely is buildable. High quality lipstick. Sure, it's expensive but it is so worth the high price. :)

This is a wonderful lipstick that is definitely worth a look and a purchase! Along with my Cle de Peau, this is becoming one of my HG lipsticks, which I turn to when I'm in the mood for a relatively more matte finish. If I could give some "all around" title to a lipstick, I'd give it to this one. It has it all, both the moisturizing qualities of a gloss, with the color payoff and lasting power of a lipstick. The finish is a semi-matte that's neither too dry nor too glossy, but just right. It feels soft on and lasted for a long time, especially for people with dry lips like mine. I have this in BR768, which is actually more reddish than the online swatch makes it look like--it's a reddish brown that looks great on warm Asian skintones like mine. It goes beautifully with my MAC Buerre lip liner. I also like that the website tells you which undertones the colors are for, "cool" or "warm", help you decide. I have a ton of lipsticks, but don't regret this purchase one bit because it's one of the better ones I have EVER tried! Test it out and give it a chance, it deserves the high praise it's gotten here.

Wow, I must say that I have never been as impressed with a lipstick like I am with my rouge unlimited. The product melts onto your lips, and does not feel dry or heavy, something I really dislike about wearing lipsticks. I have this in 901S, which is a perfect nude for me. It isn't too pink, yet it is natural enough that I don't look like I have concealor all over my lips. I also really like the clear packaging, as it makes the product easier to see and makes me more likely to reach for it. I am in love, and impressed enough to keep buying this and other colors in the future.

creamy. sheer buildable color. moist/dewy finish. some shades have shimmer, some have none. no need to put on a lipgloss over it as it's already glossy the way it is. gorgeous range of shades. not very long-lasting, but you can always reapply.

Moisturizing and comfortable cream texture. Colors are very rich and stay on fairly well, until you have a meal, that is. I got two shades (lavender pink & true red) and layer them. The red is obviously a richer color than the pink, so I tend to use less of it. Packaged in a clear tube. Can't think of any cons, really. I think the colors are all unique and work on various skin tones. I got mind online from Sephora and just guessed from the color on the screen and the description. Turns out it worked out just fine.

I am a MAC NC 35. Got the Rouge Unlimited Pink Collection in PK 312. The texture is smooth & the color is a pretty shimmery pink. However, the color did not show up on my lips at all. I suspect this would be better for fairer people.

Intend to return & exchange for a darker shade of pink

I got my rouge unlimited Pink Bloom from a friend and I absolutely love it. I'm quite fair and the pink really compliments my skin colour! I like putting 2 layers on so that there'll be this crayon effect.

The packaging's pretty normal, just with the transparent casing.

I'll definately buy this again (:

The Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited lipsticks are probably the best that I've ever tried. I can't speak for the matte formulas (I'm not really a fan of matte finishes anyway), but the non-matte lipsticks melt on your lips like butter. Mmm! I got the Red 190 (Classic Red), and it is the smoothest lipstick I have ever put on my lips. Even after 4 hours of wear, the color did not fade at all, and my lips were still smooth and moist like I had just put on some lip balm. The lipstick did have a little berry-like scent to it, but it didn't bother me at all. These lipsticks are a little bit of a luxury, but this is one case where you definitely get what you pay for. Definitely makes for a great little gift to yourself! ;-)

I have this in WN 249 and Shu website describes it as a 'deep ripened plum' which is pretty close but it's not as deep as described. Either way I like it. It's a really beautiful colour and I wanted something that was close to my HG Lancome Color Fever Lipgloss in Furious in Fushia which is very sheer. I wanted something that is very similar to it in every way but with more colour depth. This provides and satisfies everything that I was looking for. The lipstick is also quite moisturizing which is awesome since I don't like to wear lipsticks too much due to the drying out my lips after-effects. So far this is behaving and hoping it will stay this way. A nice colour for the Fall weather times. I apply the OR 556 lip gloss on top and it looks more sexier. Love it! If i want to make it more fushia/plummy then I use my HG Lancome lipgloss (mentioned above). Love this look too. The cost of this lipstick however is pretty hefty at Cdn $30 (before taxes). Will not purchase if the price goes up. EDIT (Jan 2010): Also got PK 323 from the Pink Collection. It's my HG pink lipstick! The more I wear it the more I love it. I wear this during the day and/or at night with light/dark e/s. Its just perfection in every way! I also have PK 347 and its great for night time. Oh these two l/s have become my absolute favs.

These are really one of the best lipstick lines out there. Long lasting, highly pigmented colors thzt are moisturizing. I have a bunch of colors that I picked up at a CCO at 2 for $12 and I consider it to be my best makeup bargain ever! They make great stains dabbed on with your finger.

I got the shade in OR572. I think it's like shiseido the makeup lipstick(with more shades =]), that you don't need too much to put on and it gives you a lip stain look instead of like MAC, a-lot-of-lipstick look. It's long wear, never comes off until I eat something. It changes your lip color instead of covers it up.
Going to buy more shadesXXXXXXXXD

I bought this in Hanshin department store in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The USD retail price is 23$. The Shuuemura.usa website describes it as a muted plum-pink. I would say this has a slightly dusted quality to it, not in your face pink. It's a rather neutral color, you would think it was cool toned but I can wear this and I am rather warm/neutral. It gives my lips a 'rosebud' look, very fresh and pretty. A definite one for spring. It is packaged in a sleek, clear rounded but you can stand it on its top or bottom. shu uemura is printed in black along the side. I find the packaging practical, you can see the color quickly and chic. As far as I know this is NOT LE. You get a pretty good price for the money, it's a little bit bigger than Lancome lipsticks and around the same price last time I checked. It is not touted as a moisterizing formula but it is slightly. These lipsticks are not fragranced but have a slight citrusy? smell that is very faint. Shu touts this as 'the color you see in the tube is the color you get on your lips'. I find that it stands up to it's claim! It's almost the exact same color on my lips, only my lips are very pigmented so it is *very* slightly darker, maybe a hair away. If your lips are not properly exfoliated, however, it *does* reveal peeling and you can feel it too. The pics below aren't in very good lighting and I put lip balm on first [which seems to take more swipes to get its full color]. It makes the lipstick also a sheer if you put lip balm on first as well. I've had it on for a couple hours and it's starting to fade, but it leaves a pretty stain.
I definetly will repurchase!

For ladies who have sensitive lips, you gotta try this line of lippies!!! My lips are very prone to dryness and sensitive, hence why I need my Neutrogena lipbalm applied obsessively. As far as lipsticks, I could only wear Armani and Vincent Longo lipsticks, until now... The line is divided into Reds, Pinks, Beiges/Browns and Corals/Oranges. The colors in Shu lipsticks are what I consider basic colors, as oppose to Armani from which I get fashion colors. I got 190 which is a Classic Red, pure red but not garish. I think Shu Uemura makeup is designed to give the purest color as possible but with enough neutral base so that it won't jump out on you.
The formula is very moisturizing, no more chapped lips like what I get from Nars. Although none of their lipsticks are true matte formulla. The most pigmented ones have satin finish, which I don't mind at all.
Seriously, please give these lippies a try. You'll be surprised at how moisturizing and easy to wear they are!!!
