I've been using GoW's hydrosols as a toner for about a year now. They're great because they're totally alcohol-free. I would say Heli is okay--not great, not bad. I have rosacea and acne, with skin that is dehydrated and oily at the same time. I've tried a handful of different hydrosols and this one just doesn't feel very hydrating, unlike my beloved Frankincense Hydrosol. It also doesn't help with acne, and on top of that it stinks. There's just nothing remarkable about it that would make me want to buy it again.

I love this hydrosol! Its so soothing to my mild rosacea / acne skin and really calms the redness and blotchiness. The thing I noticed is that the hydrosol works twice as good when I use it under the immortelle HA serum. The two together really calm the redness better than they did when I used them seperately. Will definitely repurchase!

Sadly, this hydrosol didn't do anything for my skin. I've also tried the Immortelle HA serum without success, so I guess my skin just doesn't appreciate the medicinal properties of helichrysum. If you should decide to try it, be warned, it has a skunky odor that lingers for a while.

Skintype: mild rosacea with occasional bad flare-ups, dermatitis-prone, pores clog easily, dehydrated. This really calms down irritated, red skin. I recently compromised my skin barrier and think I gave myself a mild chemical burn (thanks to Derma E DMAE cream). Even weeks later my skin can't handle too much and this hydrosol has been very healing for me. Like others have stated, the smell is a bit funky and really lasts a while so I wouldn't put it on if I were going to be in close proximity to others.

This stuff is stinky, but it works! I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin, and this stuff calms my skin and prevents breakouts. Like I said, the smell is awful, but you get past it once you see how great it works. I mix mine with a little blue chamomile hydrosol. This makes it go a little further and cuts down on the smell (Although the chamomile isn't the greatest smelling either...). Anyway, this stuff is great!

This is my favorite hydrosol. I use this at night after I've cleansed my face. I spritz my face with the hydrosol and then apply Emu or Kukui nut oil with some HA serum. While I don't love the scent of the Heli, I love how it calms my acne prone skin.

I still do not like the smell of heli. Every time I use it, SO will notice something "weird" in the air too. But it does calm the skin down.

I love this! I don't know what I would call this because it is mutipurpose. It's a toner, hydrater, healer, soother, freshener, makeup setter, etc...
For this review, I'm gonna call it a toner. I stopped using toner long ago. I thought I would never use toner again...never say never because I'm at it again!! It always felt like an unnecessary step to prolong my cleansing routine....but....
Now, I use (a couple of times a day) multiple ones! This is one of my favorites because it really calms down inflammation/irritation from active acne. The scent is a bit medicinal, but hey, it works. My skin looks great and it's natural stuff! I can pronounce all of the ingredients and know it's good for me and my skin! If they sell it in gallon size...hmmmm.....

As a hydrosol, this is one of the best -- Heli is healing and soothing, and evens out your skin tone. I love the smell of GoW's -- it's a faintly exotic spice vs the a bit to 'earthy' odors of other brands. I keep a small mister on my desk and spray myself through out the day -- it keeps my skin fresh and the heli has helped fad my sun spots. It's overall, incredibly healing on my skin. I use it throughout the day when my skin is angry, and this calms it down. When I am tired, it perks me up and brightens my mineral makeup.
