I ordered this product online based on the beautiful color and the natural formula, but I was really disappointed when it arrived. The color was indeed beautiful, but the texture was terrible. Maybe I got a bad tube, because this was really greasy and wore off almost immediately. I ended up throwing this out. What a waste.

I love love love this lipstick color on me!! it is soooo natural lookin. This color looks good with powder, mascara, and Thats it! I like how it doesnt dry out my lips (and ive got some dry crusty lips) and its also thin formula. I think its a little too expensive for just lipstick, But to me its worth every penny and i will definitley repurchase again and again. I hope they dont discontinue this color cuz i will buy it all. Im also looking forward to trying the other colors too.

I was very excited to try this brand and color since it has gotten so many geat reviews and I really appreciate that Josie Maran is an eco friendly line. So I was very disappointed when this lipstick turned out to not be what I was expecting. First of all, the color is gorgeous; a very natural shade that is definitely MLBB. but that is where my good review ends. This is not a sheer lipstick, like some reviewers have written. It is matte and goes on pretty heavy. I don't have a problem with the smell. In fact I really don't even notice a smell. But the formula is heavy and dry, not sheer and moist like I wanted. It dried out my lips in record time. I teied it with lip balm underneath, lip gloss over, and still don't like the formula. Big disappointment...will not purchase again.

This is the best natural color. Wonderful creamy yet sheer formula. Feels, tastes, and smells good enough to eat. Edit-- they reformulated this and now it is more orangey and dry. Bah.

My new HG lipstick for day-to-day use. As others here have said, it's so neutral, it looks like my natural lips after I've been exercising. In other words, I don't look like I'm obviously wearing lipstick, just like I'm healthy and glowing. It lasts a long time for a sheer lipstick, and I don't detect any smell. I agree with whoever said the packaging isn't the greatest, but from what I read it is biodegradable.

All in all a great product. I'm very happy with it.

I RIS (thanks, rainshine!) this lovely lipstick which was fortunate since I probably would not have bought it myself. It is the closest match to my lipcolor I've ever come across--a true MLBB for me. It's a pinky/mauve/brown sheer that feels like silk on the lips and wears well for a sheer lipstick, leaving a bit of stain behind. I didn't notice a smell so if there was one, it's not noxious. My only complaint is the packaging--a very drugstore shiny pink lightweight tube that doesn't click shut securely. I haven't had problems with it opening in my purse, but I really don't like not hearing a case click shut. Overall, given the shade, wear, and feel of this lipstick, I would buy it again despite the cheesy packaging.

I got this lipstick as part of My favorite lips palette. It is such a beautiful pinky mauve with a hint of brown. I'm Asian with light skin tone, brown eyes, dark brown hair, and this lipstick just looks sooo pretty on me. Love it. It's nude, but still shows some color that brightens up my face. I just wish it got more moisturizers. Maybe I'll buy the full size tube, since other reviewer said the tube one is creamier.

As I am somewhat fair and have cool-to-neutral undertones, I worried that this lipstick might be a bit too brown for me. I took a chance, however, based on reviews, as well as my interest in Josie Maran's philosophy of organic, fair-trade ingredients and biodegradable packaging. In the tube, this one does look a bit beigey-brown, but once applied, it is a gorgeous neutral, with a perfect balance of pink and brown tones. My lips are moderately pigmented, and Rumi Joon is just a shade or so darker than my lips, which is exactly what I wanted. This lipstick has a satin finish, and goes on like a dream; the Argan oil gives your lips a luxuriously moist feeling. The color itself is very pigmented, and even when the lipstick starts to wear away during the day, a light stain remains on my lips. I just love the feeling of putting this lipstick on; I'm a total convert to Argan oil, and this lipstick actually makes my lips feel more conditioned. This is my HG lipstick for work; a subtle neutral that looks professional and polished.

This color does not work for me--it's my lips but same. I have pale lips and this lacks enough color to brighten them. Plus I noticed that even though this lippie is natural, it really dried out my lips after wearing it a short time, and it doesn't last long.

Though I have given this a low rating, I think that it is a really nice lipstick -just not for me. The texture is amazing it feels like liquid silk on your lips, has no yucky lipstick taste/fragrance, and really conditions the lips so it it is like a treatment & colour in one.
The reason I cannot use this is because the colour though clearly popular with the other reviewers, is so very close to my natural lip colour (not a positive thing in my case) that it looks as though I am not wearing lipstick and look washed out and sick. My natural lip colour is not something I like to enhance as it is so ghastly, in fact it needs to be disguised.For reference I am a warmish toned medium tanned complexion . I think this works better on cooler/lighter tones. Shame because I had wanted this for so long.

I loooove this lippy. It's probably the closest to a HG I've ever come in a lip product. It's a deep neutral pink with just a hint of mauve and a wee bit of brown to keep it from being too pink or too mauve or too brown altogether. I have pigmented lips so it's a shade deeper than my natural color which is great for a polished look that's not at all obvious. It glides on so smoothly and has a lovely rich slippery feel like an ice skate to ice (I know, but it's the only fitting metaphor I could conjure), yet is purely pigmented. I love those ubiquitous glossy lipsticks as much as the next person because they feel great on but of course the downside is that they do not last. This one is slick and great feeling but dries down to a stain texture so it lasts a very long time. The packaging is a great metallic pink and of course, it's got lots of natural oils and no parabens if you're looking for a more natural lippy. Overall, I love it and would recommend it to anyone! A++ for Josie Maran!

I got this l/s in JM's My Favorite Lips palette. I love all the colors in the palette but this one is far my favorite. It must be JM's fave too, since she named it after her daughter. The texture in this compact is still creamy, but not as creamy as her l/s in the tube. This color stays on much longer though. On me, the color is just like the pigment of my lips, only better and more intense. I find the color to be a saturated plummy-pink color. There is no brown color from my experience. The compact is sleek and attractive--the only thing I would like to see is a tiny lip brush included in the compact. I am considering purchasing this color in the full sized tube.....

I purchased the My Favorite Lips palette (4 lipsticks and 4 glosses): Lipstick in Adventurous, Lipstick in Flirtatious, Lipstick in Rumi Joon, Lipstick in Devious, Lip Gloss in Compassion, Lip Gloss in Radiance, Lip Gloss in Optimism, and Lip Gloss in Daring.

So far I've only used Devious and Roomi Joon. I really like the subtlety of the colours (thought perhaps they're a bit TOO subtle for my very pale complexion) and the way they feel on my lips. However, they don't seem to have much staying power. I'll experiment over the next few days and see what I think. Also, I wish that some sort of applicator had been included. Otherwise the packaging is great-- very sleek, pretty, and streamlined.

I also ordered the mascara, and think I'll be sending it back. I've never experience "mascara meltdown", but I did with this one-- such a disappointment, as I'd hoped to find an organic alternative.

Edited to say no, no, no, I would not buy this again. It washes me out (my natural lip color looks better than this!) and, I know that it's a sheer, but it has zero staying power. I'm very disappointed because I really wanted to support JM's company-- can't do it with this lipstick, though.

I'm Asian with black hair, olive skin, and dark brown eyes, so I have to be careful of shades that have too much brown in them because it makes me look like my face is dirty or tired. Having said that, I thought for sure that Rumi Joon would be too brown for me to wear alone, but the lighting at Barney's was totally misleading and it actually looks fantastic in the sunlight. The color would work beautifully on most complexions. Rumi Joon and Flirtatious are probably the 2 most versatile lip colors in the line.

This is an average nude color. On my lips it makes me look very
washed out. I can't see this working for pale skin. Also...what kind of
name is Rumi Joon? How goofy!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE this line! The l/s Rumi Joon is described as a creamy nude. It's such a perfect color. It's a total YLBB. The color is a soft pinky brown color that looks amazing on. When I first opened the tube and saw the color I was a bit turned off- but once I applied it the color went on so fabulous. The texture is amazing too. It's creamy and looks matte but is not drying or dried out at all. It lasts a while too but it's almost as if the color leaves a sheer wash of itself on your lips so they just have that YLBB look. I say log on quickly to www.josiemaran.com or visit Barneys.com (the complete collection is best seen on the Josie site). I'm telling you I was so amazed and fell in love hard w/this l/s that I immediately thought of throwing out all of my l/s and converting to a total JM cosmetics junkie. Actually I have converted and once you try this line I am sure you'll love it just as much as I do. The Barney's in Frisco carries it and the one in NY does too. If you decide to order it from Barneys Frisco ask for Diana she's an awesome SA. RUN! get your JM cosmetics NOW!
FYI: Rumi Joon is her daughters name :)
