My go to moisturizer when I'm looking for something light to apply on my face and run out the door. I never tried the Olay comparison, but this one is great for its price and has a pleasant smell to it.

Love this. It's an Olay knockoff and it is every bit as good as the original. it is a lightweight and non-greasy and does not give a white sheen to the face. It sinks in pretty quick and does a good job of moisturizing my skin. If you have really dry skin I don't think this be rich enough for you but normal to oily skin this would be pretty fantastic.
It's around $5. I think Equate is actually an all around good line and I plan on trying more from them.
If you need a good daytime moisturizer with a solid spf and light feel...this would be great for you.

Really wanted to like this with all the great reviews, but unfortunately for my skin it broke me out. For some reason it felt more like just a sunscreen. That might have been the reason why I broke out it clogged my pores. I needed a good moisturizer after exfoliating and using stridex pads, it was moisturizing but after about an hour it got greasy by the 4th day of using it I broke up in the main areas i applied extra moisturizer. But if it doesn't break you out I'd recommend it its a good product and good price. Probably for very dry skin, I have oily combination.

I have the most annoying skin. Greasy with large pores (read: Italian!), yet dryer than sheet rock the second I wash it. I am prone to small, rash-like pimples on my forehead and chin - which are always made worse by any moisturizer I use - and in general have an uneven texture as a result. I have tried pretty much every single moisturizer out there in my 32 years...department store brands, organic, home made, and (literally) every single option available in drug stores/Wal-Mart. I've spent as little as $3 and as much as $100. Nothing worked. Either I broke out or my skin remained dry. Finally I decided to try the Equate version of the classic Oil of Olay...I figured I had nothing to lose, especially for $5. Boy, was I surprised. THIS IS THE BEST MOISTURIZER I HAVE EVER USED!!! I wear it morning and night. Sinks into my thick Italian skin with no problem, leaving it supple and healthier looking than it has been since my teens. My breakouts have diminished significantly, and the texture of my skin overall is 100% improved. This stuff is a full-night's-rest in a bottle. The scent may be strong for some, but I like it - it reminds me of my grandmother, who used the original Oil of Olay for years and had great skin. Her skin type was the complete opposite of mine, yet the benefits seem to be the same...I think, therefore, that this little gem may be universally awesome (except super sensitive skins, due to the scent). I swear, if you have finicky skin that you can never get balanced for more than a few days at a time, try this stuff. Combined with the Cetaphyl bar and lots of water - nothing else - my skin is completely transformed. I have used it all summer and fall and love it. The SPF 15 version rocks my socks, too. : )

I did not like this moisturizer at all. It feels gross on my face and does not moisturize all that well. It also broke me out really badly.

It was okay, but felt a little more waxy than the Oil of Olay Complete version.
It just didn't feel as light. Other than a minor difference in texture, however, I had no complaints.

I used to love this stuff and would consistently purchase it. It was inexpensive, felt clean on my face, and smelled fairly nice. It was very similar to Olay's Beauty Lotion, which I had been using before. I ran out and repurchased it a month or two ago, and couldn't find it at first because they changed the packaging. It says "original formula" but I'm certain that it has a completely different consistency and now smells like baby lotion, which I don't like. It feels gross and thick going on my face, but does not moisturize well at all. Not only that, but it costs more. I used to pay less than $4 but I recently paid more than $7. What happened to this product?! Am I the only one who noticed the difference in the formula?
Edit: I found out that this is not the same as the other moisturizer I was using before. That was Equate Complete Beauty Lotion SPF 15 Sensitive Skin. That stuff was so amazing. I'm so sad that I can't find it anymore.
Also, it seems the more I use the Original Beauty Lotion, the more I break out. I've never had an acne problem until now. : /

I really wanted to like this moisturizer because of all the reviews on here, also because the price is so cheap for so much product. When I first opened it, I liked the smell because it reminded me of baby lotion. I applied it after I showered, and I noticed it didn't sink into my skin very well and it made me feel kind of greasy. After a couple of hours, my face was so oily! And I have dry skin! AND I got two pimples within like the first 2-3 hours after applying. I am extremely disappointed. I tried using it again but applying less and only to my dry spots, it made my make up look really bad. I guess the only good thing I got out of this was that it got rid of my dry patches in the area around my eye lids. I'm returning this.

Overall, I really like this moisturizer! It does a great job of moisturizing dry spots on my face and it's super cheap, like $5 at Walmart! The only thing I don't like about this stuff is the smell! It smells like baby powder and reminds me of baby diapers...gross. Fortunately, the smell doesn't linger.

I really like this lotion! I have drier skin & esp durin these brutal winter months & this is a very moisturizing face lotion. I dont know how oily skin would react but 4 dry skin types, its super. Its around $5 @ walmart (duh, i know equate is walmarts cheap version of name brands) and its way cheaper than its counterpart, olay beauty fluid. It does have a scent, like a baby lotion, i think but i dont mind it, it doesnt linger all day but they have a Sensitive Skin version which does not have scent so if you would like a scent free version- go for that. I may try it next after i get through this bottle which is taking me forever! I love using it at nite time bc it moisturizes my skin & leaves it feeling silky smooth. Its great to put on after cleansing since some cleansers can be drying at times. It def restores moisture lost during cleansing. Rem to leave it sit and absorb if using before makeup application. It actually helps my foundation go on & apply so much better. No more flaky or blotchy spots. Just rem to let it sit for at least 10 minutes since i find otherwise your foundation may slide a bit. I def really luv it, get alot of product. I still have over 1/2 bottle after a few months of use. Def a great deal and i will repurchase!
*update- i like updating every now and again on my product reviews since some opinions may change over time but I still really do enjoy this Lotion. I have since purchased the Equate Positively Beaming Lotion (the Aveeno Positively Brightening Lotion dupe) and have fell in love with that lotion but still reach for this lotion alot! esp now since its fall and winter is coming and in Pennsylvania we got harsh cold bitter weather, i do need something very moisturizing for my already dry sensitive skin. This may cause a problem for those with very oily skin since it does leave a slight wet feeling on the skin. it does dry after a few minutes but i still can see my skins moisture. so this Lotion may not be best suited for those with oily skin types but those with normal, dry skin- this is wonderful!!! i still have alot to use up since a little goes a long way. i love the feeling of my skin after cleaning it but some of my cleansers make my skin feel tight & parched & i always reach for this on those days! great moisturizer for an even greater price! it will last forever!

This is really some great stuff!! I purchased the regular equate beauty lotion without the spf and let me tell you, this stuff ROCKS!! I was currently using oil of olay night cream and moisturizing cream for day. No matter what, my skin always seemed to be on the dry side. On a whim I decided to try the equate version. I like it soooo much better than the regular oil of olay. This product moisturizes so much better and it doesn't leave an oily film on my skin, unlike oil of olay. For 5 bucks, you can't go wrong!!

I like the formula of this lotion a great deal, but the smell TOTALLY turned me off. It was awful-perfumey-strong-yuck! BUT the sensitive skin version doesn't have that problem at all! Get that one instead. My skin isn't too sensitive, but my nose IS!

I've been using this for about 2 months now and have not had 1 problem.
Regarding shine - I've used Clinique Dramatically Different lotion and it made my forehead so shiny you could see yourself in it. This, however, does not make me shiny (even after the hair-dryer). At the end of the day I look just as good as I did in the morning.
Moisturizing - and sinks in nicely. My skin looks 100% better after I use this, no matter how tired I am. You only need a small amount so you really get your money's worth here. The bottle is a good size bottle too.
http://beautygirlinaworld.wordpress.com/
UPDATE - I checked my bottle and it is for 'sensitive skin', which explains why there is almost no smell to it (a lot of reviews seem to complain about the smell).
There is really no scent to this - just a mild lotion smell.
As for breakouts, my skin doesnt break out, but i do get the occasional pimple. If anything, since using this I have seen a reduction in the already small number of pimples I get.
I will keep buying this, as it is a great product at a great price. I've never used Olay, so I cant compare, but I dont see a reason to even test it out.

It's cheap, moisturizes well, and makes my skin soft and smooth. What's not to like? The FRAGRANCE!!! It's really loud and it made my eyes sting and water. I will not repurchase or even finish the bottle for this reason. Hopefully Wal-Mart will come out with a sensitive skin (fragrance free!!) version soon.

I would not give this a five as its not excellent but it is not comedogenic, is very cheap, moisturizes decently, and that is hard to find. I am still on the same bottle i've had for months. This is better than Olay's imo.

I love this moisturizer! I use it every night after I wash my face and it makes my skin so smooth and soft, and does not break me out. I also really enjoy the light scent. Walmart brand has yet another winner here :)

Got to chime in and say I love this product too. It is so surprising to find such a cheap moisturizer that is actually good! I have been using it for the past few years and have tried others from time to time. I always end upcoming back to Equate because it absorbs quickly, isn't greasy and it doesn't make my sensitive, acne prone skin breakout. And best of all it's cheap! (more money for shoes :-) )

I like the packaging better too.
Excellent lotion! Will purchase again and again!
I'm actually thinking about going to walmart to stock up.

Yes I will definitely buy this again! I got this moisturizer at Walmart for $5.47 (6oz.) It has a subtle scent that I love and it does moisturizer my skin very well. I love Olay Complete too but they test on animals so I try not to buy anything from that brand. I forgot to also mention that the packaging is better too. I am on my second bottle after 6 months...love it!
