Purchased this from Barney's NYC back in 2009 and i used it like crazy and then forgot it in my make up drawer. Found it again and wore it for my family holiday picture for 2010. i put some on my mom and my aunt and my mom was RAVING about it. she sent the pic out and everyone emailed her saying we looked so great etc. my mom swears its the lipstick. on us, asian yellowtoned medium tan skin, its the perfect berry. i am buying two more for us right now. love the packaging and wish there was a store in SD so i could try it on because the colors swatch online is SO off. $18.00 + tax.

I almost gave this 2 lippies is because the texture is lovely. But oh boy - (not sure what my problem is because everyone seems to love it) the color is horrendous. When I opned the package I was sure they sent me the wrong color; surely the dark, matte, orangey, brick red lipstick I was looking at wasn't the much touted MLBB Saint Natural. But it was, and I'm baffled. I also ordered the 3 piece set (Medieval, Butterfly Ball Sigh and Saint Pink) as well as Butterfly Ball Float both of which should be arriving tomorrow... hoping for a better outcome!
Edit: OK, I'm doing an almost about face here. I was expecting a lighter, softer shade, and on my tired skin in the evening with no other makeup, it looked harsh and orangey. This morning it actually is a sheer MLBB shade with none of the orange that I saw yesterday and the texture is still lovely.

I have and love Saint Pink (and prefer sheer lipsticks), so I thought I'd give Saint Natural a try. I'm glad I did. For me, it is an MLBB shade, but with a touch of berry-ish stain. (I do find this a cool/neutral color--it shows no warmth or orange-ness on me.) This builds well (if you so desire), leaves a lovely stain as it wears off, and doesn't bleed. It comes in the signature sturdy gold tube. I took one lippie off because I find the Saint lipsticks a tad drying (although my lips tend to be dry), especially for a sheer, but a dab of good lipbalm underneath will fix that. Another winner from Poppy, who continues to feed my lipstick addiction!

I wouldn't usually buy a sheer, natural lipstick - too boring - but this was given to me by my aunt because she's not a lipstick wearer but somehow ended up making this purchase when Poppy King was doing a Lip Reading (?) at Myer in Melbourne. I'm so glad she decided to pass it on to me because I love this lipstick! As the previous review said, it's like my lips but better - much better! Has pretty good staying power and after an application or two my lips look dewy and soft. I now want the whole range! Just bought Saint Rose but think I'll have to get Wine, Rust, Red, Berry and Coral as well!

Saint Natural is one of those colors that fall into the category of "Like My Own Lips, Only Better." The application is smooth and sheer, the feel is moisturizing and the taste is practically undetectable. I like how the color is a neutral with a harmonious blend of warm and cool tones - this means I can wear this color as both a brunette and redhead.

I agree that this is not a nude lipstick shade and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who like me looks awful in neutral lipsticks. I have tried lots of shades, some of which are well loved - for example MAC Hug Me, & Twig, NYX Thalia ... I looked terrible in all of of them - at its worse I looked like I had put on concealer instead of lipstick!
This is a natural shade with a hint of pink that simply compliments my pigmented lips and my lipstick of choice when I wear smokey eyes or when I simply want a break from my usual reds, berries or plums. Very understated yet elegant - the mu artist recommended the sheer formula over the matte for a more natural look. Love it!!!

The thing I love most about the Saint range is the great formula. Unlike almost all other brands do not make my lips peel.

For those of you judging colours online, don't bother. Swatches don't work either. I went to Myer (in Australia) to buy the Saint Nude. It was invisible on me. Saint Rust looked looked gorgeous on my arm but it was an unexpected orange on my lips. Even though I already had the Natural Sinner, I tried this on and was completely different. It had a light pink tinge instead of the very earthy colour on the Natural Sinner.

Another reason why I love this lipstick is that it stays on for a long time and it's wearable out or for work. HG status!

Out of my Lipstick Queen order (Natural Saint, Medieval and Oxymoron Minor Crisis) Natural Saint is my favorite. Red lipstick is a new adventure for me,,,Im a smoky eye, pale lip kind of gal, but this actually falls well within my comfort zone, It's slightly darker then my natural lip, with a muted reddish cast. It's the more natural of the three, I love the texture...way more pigmented than I expected, but still feels light and it's not too matte or shiny and no scent or taste, This is the one that makes me look like I just had an intense make out session :) I debated for hours which one to order, as there are no retailers near me, and Im glad I picked Natural Saint. Based on my order, I can say I won't be buying any Sinners,,,Saints have more then enough pigment for me and can be layered, On my complexion, I can say that all the products I bought did work, and as I get used to wearing more color then usual, I will probably really love them, They do, however bring out any pink you may have in your complextion, so you will need to adjust your other make up accordingly, I think the packaging is cute, and they are priced fairly for a high end lipstick of this quality, Oh,,,,and don't order by the color swatches on the website...they are nowhere near accurate, and this lipstick morphs like crazy from what you see in the tube to what appears on your lips,

I purchased this with Saint Nude which is a beige nude colour. I wanted to purchase Saint Rose and Sinner Rose but both were out of stock at the SpaceNK apothecary here in Bristol. :( Nonetheless this is a very beautiful pinky beige lipstick. The texture of this lipstick is very moisturising and very long lasting as well. I was very impressed because the Saints are supposed to be 10% pigmented unlike the Sinners which are 90% pigmented. Having said that, the Saint lipsticks still have very good pigmentation and once I applied this lipstick on with a slick of gloss, it lasted me for at least 3-4 hours without touching up. This has not happened to me with my NARS and MAC lipsticks which I have to touch up every 1-2hours! My only gripe is that it is hard to source and is only available for purchase at SpaceNK stores. Poppy King truly is the queen of lipsticks! :)

This is a bright brownish pink. It does fall into the YLBB category, as it is an enhanced version of my own lip color. Natural is a pretty good name for this one. One of the best features of this lipstick is that the color is very buildable, more so than any other lipstick I've tried. This provides more control over how "made up" you look. With one coat, it looks very natural. With two or three coats, the look is more makeup-y.

This is a sheerish earthy brown-orange-red on me. Nothing 'natural' about it and certainly not the pink with the almond undertone Poppy describes. I tossed it. Actually, none of the LQ colors work for me except Sinner Pink. They all have a strange undertone. The Nude is orangey brown as well.

As a dark brunette with what is known as "high coloring," I thought that so-called natural lip shades were off-limits to me. All of those beige, tan, brown, and taupe lipsticks made me look as if I had either eaten a bar of milk chocolate, or erased my lips entirely. Not this one. Saint Natural is more of a pinkish-red-brown than the usual "natural" shade. It also has a surprising amount of color for a sheer lipstick. I will be using this a lot for everyday wear. It's more low-maintenance than my usual reds, but no less chic!

Lipstick Queen's Saint lipsticks are sheer lipsticks with good color payoff (for a sheer) and plenty of lasting power. They're not glossy (just slightly glossy, like natural lips) and yet not drying. In other words, HG lippies for women who want a better-than-natural look and are tired unto death of glossticks, Buttershines and other fade-in-a-minute sheer colors. On my moderately pigmented lips, Saint Natural reads like a pink-brown, emphasis on pink. Keep in mind that I'm very pale (NC/N 10-15 or so) but definitely warm-toned -- I avoid pinks, mauves and all the like, even though my lips do of course have pink in them. So Saint Natural isn't exactly MLBB -- that would be Saint Nude -- but it *is* a sheer, flattering color for those days when I want to veer toward pink. The only reason I wouldn't buy it again is because I will, instead, buy Saint Nude by the caseload.

I had been looking this over online for a while, but Poppy King herself was at Henri Bendel yesterday, so I decided that was a good a time as any to stop in and see the line in person. The SA asked about my lipstick wearing habits, and suggested the Saint Natural. It applies lightly, but is very moisturizing. It's a pinkish brown, and leaves a nice stain after it wears off (which took quite a while, including a BBQ meal). I also got some Wine Sinner gloss, which helped with the wear. I'm pale, with dark brown hair and blue eyes, and Ms. King declared this was a fantastic choice for my coloring. The packaging is that great rubber, like Nars, only in gold. A new HG. Great product.

I went a little crazy at Barneys and purchased five Lipstick Queen lipsticks in one go because I couldn't decide whether to get the sinner or the saint version of the colours I liked. While I am in love with all my LQ lipsticks, Saint Natural stands out from the rest. Saint Natural is in fact a brownish red which works surprisingly well for those with cool-undertones in their complexions -- it also made my teeth appear whiter! My lips looked like they had undergone a makeover -- their natural rosiness was heightened while my lips looked more well defined and shinier than usual.

I loved Poppy's first line of lipsticks, which were sold at Barneys in the US during the early- to mid-90s, and I was so happy to see her go back into business under her own name again. I've been wearing my Saint Natural nearly every day since I purchased it, because it's an ideal workday shade for autumn. As the reviewer below noted, it's more of a sheer earthy rust-red than a nude tone. It's flattering against my PPP skin, giving warmth without being *too* noticeably colorful. It's a sheer stain with no glossiness, and it lasts well. Wonderful artistic packaging, enjoyable concept, but most of all: high quality. I hope to choose another shade soon.

I am a lipstick fanatic and LQbyP may very well be my new religion. I did select that I would not repurchase this product because although I will wear it, it isn't a shade that excites me. The website is misleading. Saint Natural is a sheer earth red. No fragrance. No taste. The formula binds to my lips creating sheer and even coverage that lasts and lasts like a stain -only did I mention the even coverage? I love the idea of sheer lipstick that allows my lips' natural features come through. Usually sheer means slippery and the product splits on the lips creating streaks of uneven color. Sheer also usually means it doesn't last 15 minutes before it completely vanishes into the atmosphere. I love the art deco/nouveau -ish lipstick cases. My only complaint is that this brand is not available where I live, nor is it available to me via mailorder so I have to swap for them -which is no small feat! I see reviews comparing LQ to NARS... I strongly disagree. NARS lipstick is far inferior. See my NARS lippie reviews for details.
