No no no. I put it over my face, massage, tissue off and rinse. It left a oily film and broke me out immediately!! Maybe I'll just use it as bath cream...

I like that this product comes in a big package (400 ml!) and I like the pump to use it.
I am not fond of milk cleansers to remove make up as I prefer oily make up removers even for foundation but I really like this as it removes almost everything, not mascara. It works better on my face than any other though and considering the price (a shop near my home always discounts Clarins' products) it is quite good.
The best use I have for it is to massage my face thoroughly after using it to remove make up or even if I had no make up on, insisting on oily parts of my face (chin, nose and forehead). Then I wash with Clarins' Cottonseed foaming thing or Shiseido Pureness foaming.
It is a good product if you can buy it at a good price, I wouldn't buy it at full price though.

This is a soft and velvety cleansing lotions and it smells divine (all Clarins products have such distinguished fragrances that I sometimes buy them for fragrance's sake alone...) but it doesn't work that great compared to other products.
Every time I use it I have huge quantities of makeup left on my skin (my toner pad comes out beige), plus my skin gets dry and uncomfortable.
Unworth its high price.

Guys this is a good cleanser!!! it leaves my skin so soft, iv been on roaccutane twice and now my shitty skin is breaking out again but iv noticed how calm its gone now.
if your buying a skin product to magically make ur skin like silk then you are a moron- only a dermatologist who prescibes you medication and gives u laser resurfacing will help you creams and toners and shit only goes so far so i dont believe in cleanser reviews.
But... there is so much researching into clarins products and i would pay for this again, it gave me good results. iv been using dermalogica and too be honest im just bored of the packaging and monotonous smells of their products. both brands are good.

I'm not a fan of milk cleansers, but outta curiosity I tried this one. The compliments I'd give to this product is 1) it takes out blackheads, I'd say 80%; 2) my face is very soft after wash; 3) it does not dry out your face.
BUT!! The salesperson told me that this removes makeup(not eye makeup), which is a beautiful lie!! AND it blurs my vision every time I wash my face and my face feels a bit greasy after rinse...These are about the most negative elements of milk cleansers.
This product is not bad, it really just depends on how you judge between the pluses and minuses. But for me, I wouldn't buy it again.

I used to use a lot of Clarins products, including this milk. it was OK, didn't break out my sensitive skin but didn't do anything for it either.
Pluses: didn't break me out, didn't dry out my skin
Minuses: didn't improve my skin, left my skin feeling greasy after use.

If you are looking for a cleansing milk, this one is probably the best!
I have tried several drugstore brand cleansing milk and also Origins Cleansing Milk.
This is by far the best for oily/combo & sensitive skin.
Here's why:
+ Doesn't feel oily, easy to wash off
+ Gives my dry cheeks enough moisture without making my t-zones oily
+ Still works great in humid climates
+ Cleans well without causing skin to feel tight
+ Doesn't break me out or make current acne worse.
Overall great for people who have hyper, overly oily skin.

I used one bottle a while ago. I bought it as a deep cleansing treatment but was too lazy to keep it up. Finally I just used it as a regular cleanser and did not feel any particular difference.
I was using the Clinique cleansing gel for quite sometime before switching back to this. However, that cleanser sometime makes my skin really dry. I've never been a cleansing milk fun since I have rather oily skin. I always believe that a gel form cleanser would do a better job. I finally decided to buy this product again. It is very gentle but cleans quite well.
The only offset is I am not sure how much is the right amount of usage as sometime I pour out too much. A great product to use during the harsh winter time.

Probably one of the cheaper cleansers from the Clarins line that I am using since I have a bad tendency to change my cleansers from time to time. I wanted something that is good for my combination skin because the foaming gel that I was using (the white lily frm clarins) can make my skin tight and dry sometimes! The sales person recommended this and this is good! Though the bad thing is I dont know whats the actual amount that is needed to cleanse the face LOL

This is a great cleanser- very moisturizing and mild for my dry and sensitive skin. It does a good job of unclogging pores and blackheads. I love the classic Clarins scent and my skin doesn't feel tight after cleansing. Can feel a tad greasy in the summer months but overall a good product.

As a cleanser this cleans pretty well for combination/oily skin. It leaves my skin smooth and clean, but doesn't unclog pores. I actually bought it because it unclogged pores for my friend, and I'm disappointed that it doesn't work for me. The application method of rubbing it on your palms first and then pressing it on your face is a real pain. I still have not figured out how much is an appropriate amount to use and this product is pretty expensive for the job it does. In the end, this product is overpriced and overrated.

I love how soft it leaves me skin! No residue, creamy, rinses easily (best with a washcloth) and has a soft smell! I have very dry skin and with this and the HydraQuench Day Cream for day or Orchidee Bleue Oil at night the combos work so well together! Im very happy with it and I am so glad I got a travel gift with purchase one and a large one! Definitely recommended

I never liked milk cleanser before, but my old foaming one was out and I found the value set (with the green toner) and thought I'd give it a try. What a surprise! It really does what it says. I found my face looked much softer and tender after a while. It even took out my blackheads, which is a problem I've tried a lot of stuff on. And I haven't had a break-out after using this with the toner (I used to have a minor one every other week.) It's costly but worth buying again

I work in cosmetics, not for Clarins but I am now an official Clarins convert. After years of using harsh products that killed my oily acne prone skin *(which is now combination oily with dry areas from acne medication) Clarins got the idea of how to treat combination/.oily right. This product does not strip your face if your looking for a squeaky clean feeling you probably want the foaming gel instead. I love how soft this makes my face it took a while to get used to a milk cleanser but I am now in love. I follow with the green toning lotion, pore minimizer (for morning) or dehydration biserum for night, and moisturizer. This is awesome but make sure you use the toner after it or else you could have residue left they are made to be used together.
*I found after a while these products irritate my skin i have since switched to clinique

This review is for the cleansing milk with Gentian. I have used this milk for sometime and did not have much problem with it until I changed my soap to non-Clarins. The bottom line here is this is excellent if used with Clarins cleanser or any heavy-duty ones but will give you little bumps if teamed up with gentle cleansers or Cetaphil liquid.
EDIT: I find my true HG in Babor Hy-ol. The best cleanser in my opinion. Try it.

I first tried this out after receiving some samples of it. Really loved it so broke down and bought one. Normally I would never pay this much for a cleanser but this is perfect for my combo/oily/blackheady skin. I have had fewer break outs yet my skin is not raw from Salicylic acid or harsh foam gel cleansers. Really gentle on skin, at night I follow with the lotus oil for oily skin.
