I suffer from sensitive, dry and eczema prone skin which sucks because it limits me to a lot of products. I'm like any other girl that loves to experiment, which can be pretty bad for me, especially when I desperately want to try out ALL the latest products/craze out there on the beauty market! After watching endless videos and reviews on YouTube, I can't help but get swayed and invest in numerous high end products but I always find myself going back to my basic drug store/high street brands, which I find work as good, if not better, than the expensive stuff.

Well, this is one product I always find myself going back to and will likely stick to from now on. Prior to this, I used Origins Checks and Balance, for a solid two years. When that suddenly stopped working for me, I started to use Body Shops, Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash, which was a gift from my husband for a few weeks, which didn't agree with me at all. I then went back to using Origins which only slightly balanced my skin out, however I found it such a discomfort to use. Both face washes felt like they completely stripped my skin from it's natural oils and my cheeks were becoming unbearably sensitive, sore and irritated. When I noticed my local Superdrug (UK drug store) was selling the Nivea Refreshing Gel Cleanser a lot cheaper than usual, I didn't think twice, I just got it on a whim. When I used it that evening, it worked immediately. As soon as that refreshing gel touched my face it felt so calming and soothing unlike the previous two facial washes I used! It was such a good feeling. Within a few days, I saw a massive difference and so did my husband. My cheeks were no longer sore or red and other areas of my face weren't as sensitive. I don't know what it is, that is in this wash but it works super for my sensitive skin type. If anyone had to inspect my skin, they'd think I'd have great looking normal skin!

My skincare routine, which I was beginning to dislike, is now something I look forward to with this face wash. It's gentle enough for me to use on my Clarisonic (I only use this maybe 3 times a week)

What I love most about this is that it's reachable and works perfectly for my skin type. I don't have to go out of my way to drive to the nearest mall or large shopping centre, it's available at the supermarket or drug store. It's so cheap and affordable, the packaging is great and clear so you can see how much product remains.

Thanks Nivea! Because this worked so well for me, I picked myself up the 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner a few days later, which is a great combination! I will review separately :D

I love Nivea. This cleanser however.....not the best. I use it in the morning, due to its "refreshing" nature but my skin looks dull after. It doesn't help nor hinder my acne problem. It dries out my skin as well too ; I bought it during the summer and my skin was fine but come winter when I bought it again, my skin was tight. I also find that my skin has a soapy after feel, no matter how much I rinse my face. I use the toner as well, and when I wipe my face, soap is still there!
The only pro however is that it lasts forever. In 2 years of using this everyday, I've been through 2 bottles. And I love the smell - if you know Nivea, it has that lovely Nivea scent to it!

Great value for money, lasts a long time, makes my skin feel refreshed and clean as well as doing a great job at removing tough make up.

A great cleanser for a bargain price - the texture (non foaming) of a cream cleanser but without the grease. Removes makeup and thoroughly cleanses and leaves skin super soft - gentle round the eyes as it is non foaming. Lovely fresh smell. Nivea products are always high quality. Love the packaging as it stands up on its end you can use every last drop

After using Neutrogen's deep clean cleanser for almost 2 years, I thought it was time to switch things up a bit. I loved using Neutrogena, I thought it was pretty good. I have combination skin and I get the occasional spot here and there, but I was also having problems with getting pimples on my neck and I found it difficult to get rid of them as they were recurring and sometimes painful. I was looking into different cleansers that were specifically for pimples in hope to find a cure. I was overwhelmed with the choices and decided to go for a basic cleanser from Nivea since I already love they're body products. I've used this for a few months now and I have seen a DRAMATIC difference. I no longer get pimples on my neck! (Except for maybe a small one that would last a day or 2) month after month I would expect a new and painful zip to appear (esp around that time of the month) but it was all under control now! I'm very pleased and thankful to have finally found something that works for me! Its given me more confidence now.
It cleans well and smells great. Your face truly does feel refreshed and clean
I guess I've found my HG!

I did not care for this cleanser. It's a decent cleanser for the money, but I didn't feel it got my face clean enough. Actually I know it didn't, because almost the entire time I was using this, I was broke out in the worst acne I've ever suffered in my life. I don't blame the cleanser for bringing on the acne; I blame my job for that, because I sweat like a pig in my job. But I do think that this cleanser wasn't strong enough to break through all that grime and keep my skin clean. So for that I only give it 2 lippies.

I've been using this cleanser for several months now and it works fine. I have acne-prone/combo skin. This does not break me out but it doesn't fight or reduce my acne either. It doesn't do anything to control oil either. It's just a cleanser that will make your skin feel clean and refreshed. I'm giving it a 4 because it doesn't break me out but it doesnt do anything special either. I tried using another cleanser for a while but came right back to using this since it's what works best for my skin.

Great, wallet friendly, gel cleanser for combination skin. I used this for years, with great results, and then got bored of it and changed to a different gel cleanser. In the end I switched back because the oil control of the other product was horrible. This works great with the toner. It's not fantastic for taking makeup off, though, so I would suggest using a cold cream or makeup remover first. Light, fresh scent. Tried and true. I prefered the old packaging though, as you used to get more for your money. Still ceap nonetheless.
EDIT: will probably not be buying this again now that I have tried Mark "That's Deep" - it keeps my t-zone oil free longer than this product does. I would probably recommend this to someone with normal skin, though.

I like this product as it has a lovely clean fresh smell, nd leaves m skin feeling really soft. I always feel though with nivea products ,cleansing milk, wipes etc that they have a tendency to sting sometimes so I wouldnt advise people suffering from sensitive skin to purchase this. Its very good for removing make up and ive had no breakouts or anythng from using it. Overall it wouldnt be my favourite cleansing product but it did quite a good job.

This cleanser cleans pores well. I feel squeeky clean after using this. It takes a while to wash off, but after I wash it off, it feels like it tightened my pores. Not too drying.

I like the scent, so I don't know why other reviews didn't seem to favour it.

I would definately repurchase if Nivea removed the parabens. Right now, I'm trying to find an alternative w/o parabens.

I wanted to try out a gel cleanser for a change and I just find this cleanser to be okay. It is quite cool and refreshing as its name and I don't mind the "clean" scent that it has. It doesn't remove my makeup (for reference, I usually wear a quarter amount of revlon colourstay foundation set with powder and some blush) very well at all. I find myself using a makeup wipe prior to using the cleanser to ensure my makeup comes off. I'll probably won't repurchase this cleanser again as I'm determined to find a better one.

I am disappointed this product does absolutely nothing to remove make-up (guess I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing it!)

I am not too fond of the smell and find that I need a lot of water to wash it off competely.

Will use this cleanser in the mornings only and will not repurchase.

This cleanser is pretty average.. Left a sticky residue on the face..Takes alot of water and work to wash it all off..It cleans a bare face okay and it does feel refreshing but I didnt particulary take a liking to it though it didnt break me out..I prefer Simple's range of cleansers much more..

This is an average cleanser. I didn t really like the texture of my skin after using it. Doesn t remove foundation well.I have to wash my face twice every time, otherwise I still can see foundation here and there.Because of this, my (combi) skin becomes dry, dull, tight and rough after usig it. Won t repurchase.

This is an OK cleanser, didn't like the fact that it was not foaming, and I didn't really see any improvement to my skin since using it (didn't cause acne though). It's cheap so you can give it a try if you like gel cleansers that dont foam! Smells good. Will not buy again...

I bought this b/c it was on sale, and forgot to look at the ingredient list. It has both SLS and parabens, which I am trying to eliminate from the personal care products my family uses :-( That being said, this is a really good cleanser. It leaves my dry skin feeling refreshed and clean without drying it out. Hopefully Nivea will be able to reformulate it without SLS and parabens, and if they do I will happily repurchase it.

I've been searching for a cheaper alternative to the Paula's Choice One Step cleanser for N/O that I've been using for years, since her prices keep increasing.

I gave the Nivea gel cleanser a try, but it almost immediately broke me out in a red rash with little pimples. And even though fragrance is listed in the last few ingredients, the smell was overwhelming. I tossed this right away and would not use it again.
