I wont run out this quickly, I like the color but its a little blah after a short time and gets a little too beige on me. I like to layer it with composure for a natural lip.

I brought this product just for the sake of buying something that day and omg how much i am in love it!!!!!! It is very very close with my natural lip color and looks so good on. It is definately a lippie you can wear everyday. I would buy this again for sure. Only problem is i can see this running out very quickly but is worth the $$$.

This has just recently become a favorite of mine. It's almost an exact match to my own lip color and with gloss on-this is da bomb!! I will say that on me it looks a lot like MAC Faux, so for you girls looking for a close dupe, that may be it. Love it and if I can get my hands on more, I'll stock up!

This is a really nice neutral mid tone pinky brown matte lipstick. I missed out when it first came out- it was sold out everywhere I went. Someone at the MAC store told me it was like if Twig and ( something else I forgot, this was a few years ago. ) had a baby. So think the Twig reference from other reviewers were stating is pretty close to what this looks like- but it doesn't look exactly like Twig. Flattering has slightly more pink and beige in it and of course the texture is different. I picked this up at the CCO the other day and am really glad I did. Overall it's nothing unique or special. But it's one of those lipsticks that you know will make you look good- like a lipstick you'd wear in a interview- professional and polished. I like that it's matte but not drying. It last a LOT longer than the normal MAC lipstick. The texture is smooth and feels good on the lips. The packaging is slim matte tube. I hope that MAC will re-release this line. I would defiantly buy this again- and check out other colors!

Oh how I would purchase this little lippie again if only it weren't LE. I found it at the CCO -- and I'm happy yet sad at the same time. Happy b/c this is one of my most favorite lipsticks EVA. Sad because it's nowhere to be found except CCO now (and after that, who knows where). LOVE. Everyone else described it perfectly, nothing to add. GORGEOUS nudie color.

I bought this in October 2007, when it came out, and as it's limited edition I've only used it occasionally. I love it so much - it's the perfect natural lip colour for me. The kind of pinky-brown beige that's hard to describe, and to find. It's matte but not drying at all, and it stays on all day. The packaging is sleek and made of matte rubber, and the narrow shape makes applying it much easier. I'm so sad that it's not available any more!

this is my HG nude lippie. my lips are very pigmented and this works great without it looking like concealer on my lips. i try my best to ONLY use it occasionally since it is LE. i hope MAC comes out with new mattenes or a color with the same color and texture! because i love love love this lippie !

I really love this lipstick. It makes me so sad that it's LE. It's a nude/pink/brown matte lipstick. It's so creamy and doesn't make my lips all chapped and crappy looking at the end of the day. I almost never have to reapply because it just stays on my lips. Mattene lipsticks really have a great texture and feels so nice. I hate when my lips get dry from lipsticks. This lipstick also kicks the ass of mac's other matte lipsticks which I find to be drying.

I think I must cry myself an ocean because guess what, I found one of my HG in a limited collection. It is a warm pink, so natural and of course, very very flattering. It is soooo creamy, especially for a matt lip stick, and it is a great colour payoff. It paves on my lips, making them nothing but gorgeous. Smells vanilla-y, none of those nasty lipstick smells like in those high-end lipsticks. Stays on just the longest time (like all matt lipsticks), makes lips look soft and smooth. It is not drying like the other matt lipsticks from MAC, and I just love it the way it is. The container is a rubbery matt version of the slimshine lipsticks. Argh, just plain gorgeous. I guess the only down side, and not very necessary too, is that when you apply this lipstick, your lips have to be in perfect condition already to achieve the best effect. Otherwise the colour just will not distribute evenly on your lips if lips are chapped. (actually the downside of all lipsticks)

Ummmmmmm. It's nice. The color tone is right in the middle of warm and cool so it would flatter a lot of people. It feels creamier and less drying than most MAC lipsticks I have but still lasts pretty long. I don't like the skinny tube. I have trouble applying lip products in this shape to my upper lip.

Quick description of myself: NC30-35, Asian, Brown Hair, Brown Eyes, pigmented lips.
With the Pro Discount, I got this for about 10 bucks CDN, which is just about the price of a d/s lipstick nowadays so to me, I consider that pretty reasonably priced.
The lipstick comes in a slim black rubbery tube (think NARS compact's material) which matches the "matte" theme, as opposed to the slimshines that comes in a shiny tube.
Flattering is a matte (surprise surprise!) neutral MLBB browny pink colour that shows up on my lips the way it does on my hand. It's creamy but it doesn't glide on as well as slimshines for the reason that it's not glossy so it has less slipperiness. I exfoliate with the mark. lip exfoliator first because I know how matte lipsticks tend to accentuate lip wrinkles. I think this is a wearable shade on anyone and I definitely recommend it.

I picked up this color since I needed a nude lipstick and I am not disappointed. The color is similar to MAC's Honey but in matte form. I assumed that mattene would be drying but I found this easy to wear, non-drying and long lasting.

Well, I hate to be the dissenting voice here, but Flattering is just...boring. It's really close to Twig in color, so don't get crazy with this being LE. It's a nice texture, etc., but a bit over-hyped.

OMGawwwwwd. This lipstick is absolutely one of my very faves. I'm PPP, and flattering is a neutral brown, with pink undertones (that don't really show, but makes this a prettier brown). The texture is smooth, with decent stain and staying power. This mattene is very moisturizing and I have dry lips and drink all the time. The thin black tube is very classy, so I don't mind applying this in public (but very discreetly, no big production with mirrors and all at the dinner table, NO, so tacky). Sometimes I will apply a Mac lipglass or varnish over this and then another coat of Flattering, and the color is just perfectly and beautifully neutral. I will buy again, hopefully before they run out, since it's LE.

I can see why this is flattering for so many women (appropriately titled^^). It's not too pink, or orange, or brown or pale...like SO many others I've tried and discarded. It's a very healthy, pinky, flesh tone color. Texture wise it's not drying (but I stil need lipbalm underneath) and the lasting power is quite impressive. I accidently fell asleep with this on and hours later my lips still look great. Finally I've found my perfect MLBB lipstick. It would be so very nice if MAC indeed made this permanent!

This is the second mattene I've purchased, the first was 40s Pink, which I absolutely adored. I find flattering to be a more day to day wearable lipstick color than 40s pink, on my super pale cool colored skin with pigmented lips, it does not show up as a "nude" color, like it may on many others, on me this is a light, neutral MLBB pink color. It's absolutely fantastic and I hope that make comes to their senses and makes this part of the permanent collection - either way I'm purchasing myself a backup of this shade before it's run ends.

I can see why this is such a popular raved about lipstick. Especially this color. It's such a pretty neutral pink, but not so neutral that you can't see it. I don't need a lipliner with it & also it's so creamy & stays on well. I do have Composure & Caffe Matte too & love them as well. I would buy this color again, If they keep these in their line. I have e-mailed MAC to comment that I would love if they stayed & weren't LE. So if enough of want them to stay & e-mail them hopefully they will.:)

I really love matte lipsticks (my hg staples), so for me, MAC's Mattene collection is a true godsend. Flattering is a very pretty ylbb medium brown pink, more on the warm side, but not so much that cool to neutral toned girls couldn't rock it. I usually wear MAC's matte lipstick in Kinda Sexy and this color kind of reminds me of it but Flattering is more subdued, not as bright or as pink....it is truly work & day appropriate. It is also not nearly as drying as the regular matte lipsticks, these are way more moist & creamy so they don't dry out the lips. However, despite being creamy, they still last a couple of hours before fading away evenly. As for the outer case, it is thin and sleek and of course....matte. Beautiful Collection!

Simply amazing, texture/color/packaging. The color turns out a bit like Mac's Kinda sexy matte l/s although Kinda sexy is a bit redder. Perfect nude for a C3 =D
