Fabulous! I am sooooo guilty of buying this only because of the actress attached to it Mariska Hargitay. (I adore her! She is fabulous!) At any rate, I adore this color. The packaging is really cute too! Great for an everyday lip..not to dressed up or dressed down color. I have also noticed that depending on the liner I use it will be a bit more of a brick red or more of a brown/pinky color.
I am so sad that i didn't know that you could "plant" the box and flowers would grow before i tossed the box :( poop. Ah well, when I get another one of these i will remember!

This colour looks beautiful sandy brown in the tube, but It shows on my natural lips as a deep wine colour no matter how many layers I apply. A deep nude lipstick is what i wanted for summer, so Instead this becomes my winter lip colour. I love the fact that this lipstick has a green idea behind it.

Follows Suzy Cuties lead & *squeals*
This stuff is way nicer than I had expected. I was originally attracted to the product because it was "green" but when I saw that Mariska Hargitay had a hand in the product I just had to have it, I'm a huge fan of hers so I bought it no questions asked. I was surprised to find how much I loved it. The color is a nice neutral brown with a hint of red & it has a matte finish which I love. I usually wear a thin layer to get a lighter shade of the color which gives my lips a more natural look. I've gone through 2 sticks of this stuff. The packaging is adorable as well. You can plant the box & supposedly it will grow flowers, I don't have a green thumb so I can't say for sure how fantastically this works out but all in all it's pretty cool. As if all of this wasn't good enough a portion of the proceeds go to charity!

I love this lipstick-the packaging is adorable-the idea of using the box for planting wildflowers is ingenius. I'm hoping that they will grow inside,as I've no place to plant them and this time of year in Maine is not conducive to flower cultivation.
The tube itself is just so cute-I'm a sucker for lovely designs.
Now for the product-not sheer nor very creamy as a previous reviewer mentioned, but does go on smoothly and wears well. It is more matte but not the omgmylipsarecracking matte of some MAC lipsticks. It is a *slightly* reddish brown on my lips-simliar to Golden Brown (BB) or Clinique Vanilla Brownie. It is very flattering to my warm tone and ginger complexion, and redheads-you KNOW how hard it is to find that flattering lipstick that doesn't go all fuschia or announces your arrival 5 min before you enter.
If you've not had the opportunity to use Cargo lipsticks, this will be a nice surprise; I've not used many items by Cargo but their lipsticks are of wonderful quality and texture.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the concept of Cargo Plantlove products - biodegradable packaging, natural ingredients, a portion of proceeds donated to St. Jude's, etc.
However, this lipstick doesn't live up to the hype.
(BTW - i'm a fair to LLL, green eyes, med brown hair)
Color - Mariska is described as a "Sheer Warm Nude Cream" - it isn't sheer, it is very opaque. It also isn't a warm nude - it is more like a mid-toned, brown-based neutral. Very Bobbi Brown 1996 - it looks very much like the Revlon Toasted Almond lipstick from the late 1990s. All the rage when I was in middle school/high school & wanted to look like the 90210 girls.
Texture = it wasn't very creamy - not quite dry, but slightly waxy at first.
Lasting Power = it does last quite a while.

I purchased this lipstick only few hours ago and I'm already hooked! *lol*
Before buying Mariska, I didn't know l/s could be botanical but this was the reason why I picked this product up over a Mac one.
What a lovely surprise!
Only few shades are available here at the moment (Evangeline, Lindsay, Mariska and Sarah) and I purchased what I purchased b/c I found the other colors too pinkish for me.
No regrets at all though, great quality/price balance item. I paid € 17 and € 2 from the sale will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
I LOVE this kind of initiatives and I'm going to buy other PL lipsticks as soon as other shades will be available at my local Sephora.
