I won this at my hairdresser's christmas raffle so I'm pretty sure it's not designed for my hair type.

I apply this just before straightening my hair but I double up with a heat spray as I don't like the smell of the product alone.

I can't see any difference on my hair from this product. It's a good freebie, I guess.

My (now ex) boyfriend got me this product, which isn't something I'd normally go for, myself, because I always think these types of products are unnecessary and a waste of money. However, having used this for a few weeks now, I can actually feel and see a positive difference with my hair. I have very fine and limp hair, as it is, but because I'm quite harsh and rough when I brush my hair I do get a lot of frizzing and split ends so using this product has really helped to smooth down my hair and add a touch of healthy shine. An added positive for me; I've also noticed improvements in my skin since using this, I always wear my hair down and its always irritating the skin on the sides of my face, but this product seems to give my hair some added moisture, without being greasy, so my hair no longer itches or irritates my face. I've also just realised that this product was choosen as Instyle's Best Beauty Buy for Smoothing Product - and having used this product, that doesn't surprise me! Nice one.

I agree with the previous reviewer - on fine hair this is too much for everyday use. You will get a build up of product (I rinse with apple cider vinegar every week to combat after shampooing). Having said that it's great if you're using a hot iron daily and want to protect your hair especially at the crown. This will give a polished and neat look with absolutely no crunchiness. I actually don't mind the smell so much..not great but not terrible either - it doesn't bother me and when it's dry you can't notice it at all. This product is apparently also very good for those with curls who want their hair to dry naturally. L'oreal have a similar product available in this line specifically for use with irons but I found it was way too full of that silicone feel and dragged my hair down and made it completely flat. With this one I still have bounce and body. Like it alot.

Good for smoothing away frizz and defining curls without stickiness or crunchiness but the silicones build up and are heavy on fine hair. I use only a small amount on the mid length to ends only but still have to use volume products and wash hair more frequently or hair goes too soft, limp and greasy. It's probably better for taming frizz and reducing volume on unruly normal to thick hair. Fine for both blowdrying or naturally air dried.


The neutral perfume smelt like my wet dog, or dogs breath but its only faint. Soft shine, alcohol-free and UV protection, no heat protection and no hold, I have to use other styling products with it if I want volume or a straight style. Won't purchase again but when used up might try the lighter techniart anti-humidity fixation spray to see if that suits me better.
