Beautiful perfume, light, lush, although a little sweeter than the actual flower. However, it is an unbelievable value for the price. I just got this fragrance today and I can't stop smelling myself, it's just gorgeous.

My second experience with Pacifica was buying this particular perfume solid, along with several others in sample sizes, after being somewhat disappointed with my first purchase of the solid in the Coconut scent. This most recent purchase is proof that these perfume solid scents just don't last. Their scent disappears within the first 30 minutes to an hour of wear. I'm convinced that you need to layer the products in any one scent line in order for it to linger. Although I love the scents I purchased, I'm very disappointed with the product overall.

I have a secret love of white flower perfumes and find myself reminiscing longingly of my used up Child, Kai, and Monyette samples. I refuse to pay so much for such a simple idea, so have experimented with different things in an attempt to mimic them. So far, Tahitian Gardenia comes closest by itself, and if I layer the tiniest bit of Terra Nova pikake oil with it, I get the same pretty-girl-on-holiday-in-spring feel that I love so much about the others.

I could not resist this cute little package and had to give it a try. I loved the scent right from the beginning. It is beautiful and classic. The solid perfume melted very easily and smoothed on nicely. The problem was this had no lasting power. I figured with it having a waxy base that it would last longer then an average perfume. I was wrong. This did not even last an hour. Very disappointing for such a strongly scented perfume to not last very long. Although I love this scent, I would not purchase this again based on the lack of staying power.

While shopping around, I found the candle version of this scent, and I absolutely fell in love with it. When I saw that there was a perfume with the same scent, I just had to have it. I did the sniff test on the spray, the roll-on, and the solid. The scent of the solid perfume just wasn't as nice as the others, I think. It was a little less fresh and floral and a little more unpleasantly old smelling. The roll-on would be great if you have a small purse and want to "touch up" in the middle of the day. I, however, chose the spray. When I first sprayed it, I was a bit disappointed- It just didn't smell very good. BUT, a little while later, the alcohol had evaporated and the gorgeous smell from the candle came back out. I was pleasantly surprised at the longevity of the scent. It may be good to reapply it about once in the middle of the day, but other than that you're good to go! As with every perfume, go ahead and try the tester before making your decision. Good luck! :]

EDIT: I'm smell bipolar! I no longer am a fan. It comes on way too strong, and smells a bit toxic. It also gave me eczema (if you don't have skin allergies don't worry though)!

I am a huge fan of Pacifica's soy candles- especially the Tahitian Gardenia line. I was so excited to use the perfume, but when i did, I was so disappointed. It smells NOTHING like the candle, at all. It reminds me of cheap old lady perfume. I never use it; a full tube of the roll on sits in the back of my bathroom cabinet and will remain there until I throw it away.

First off, let me say that I'm not a HUGE white florals fan. In fact, I've started to hate gardenia recently because an obnoxious coworker wears an eye-watering, strong gardenia scent every day. However, Pacifica is so fun for mixing & experimenting. I have the solid of this & while I probably wouldn't wear it on its own, it mixes deliciously with the Pacifica coconut scent.

As far as the scent itself, it's a fairly true gardenia with slightly tropical/green subnotes. It's a bit sharp for my liking, but pairing it with the coconut gives it the creamy feel I'm looking for.

This is, gardenia, gardenia, gardenia, gardenia! :) That's basically it - a lush, buttery slightly sweet gardenia. If you like gardenia (or tuberose, they're so similar to me) you would like this. I personally am not a gardenia fan, so I gave it a neutral rating.

I really, really love Pacifica's gardenia spray. Its pretty and fresh. Unfortunately it doesnt last long on me. Four stars. When the spray ran dry I bought the solid. Not good. The solid starts off ok. But 15 minutes later all I smell is bathroom air freshener and urine. Unfortunately the solid has great staying power. So I have to scrub it off. I really should just throw it away. Zero stars. Weird--the spray doesnt do this at all.

It's a pretty scent, but a bit too peppery. I would buy it again in just solid perfume form and candles. The lotion is great, but I prefer their other scent to waste my money on when it comes to that.

This was my favorite scent out of all the Pacifica perfumes, but it still smelled a bit "off" on my skin (as reviewers noted below, it reminded me of an air freshener). However, it was a long lasting scent and the bottle was very cute. I ended up giving this to my mom and she really likes it.
I've come to the conclusion that I prefer perfumes with a vanilla scent to them. The best natural perfume I have come across that has great staying power and smells beautiful is: La Vanila- Pure Vanilla.

Love this perfume! And (the solid) actually has really good staying power compared to the other Pacifica solids I've tried. This smells flowery without being too overpowering. Like it a lot!

Cedar, pepper and mothballs with floral notes. The mothball is faint, but it's definitely there and the peppery sharp notes lift it out of the velvety lush category. Not for me.

This scent is green, sweet, true to the flower while incorporating orange flower and ylang ylang. These I don't smell as much as feel the association, they add depth and sweetness to a green dry scent. This only seems to last on me when I layer the cream perfume with the spray which i find to be expensive...as i like the line in general, particularly the Guava, Fig and Pikake, they're all pretty good, you just have to be in the mood for each scent.

I recommend giving the line a try.

I hate to rain on this product's parade, but .... The first notes were lovely, bright gardenia, but then a huge sillage monster roared in with a chemical floral blast that morphed into Juicy Fruit gum on steroids. Within a half-hour I went to scrub it off. Dishwashing liquid didn't do the trick, so I resorted to rubbing alcohol. I'll give it two lippies for the low price. Hopefully, your mileage will vary.

I like gardenia, something about the flower blends really well with my skin. I'm drawn to the tropical flower, but this scent, well it has the opening element of gardenia and citrus combined, but I'll have to agree with the reviewer below me, it kinda smells like an air freshener and I can't seem to run away from that notion. It's blended well and it has all it's floral goodness, but I feel it's a bit on the strong side even though it does, over time, mellow out. I love the petite bottles, very pretty, wish they had toppers and it's wonderful that these perfumes are 100% natural and free of pesky chemicals. This perfume didn't offend me or wow me, but I'd give it a try if you love gardenia.

Fresh. Clean. Nothing like a typical gardenia-based scent. Almost air-freshener-y clean with light lemon and green undertones. A nice spring day might smell just like this!!
Product needs some sort of lid.

This has become my everyday fragrance. I'm not usually big into floral scents, but this has a light, sweet scent that lasts all day and doesn't give me a headache. My husband calls it my "Vegas" perfume because he claims it smells like what they inside casinos to mask the cigarette smoke, hahaha. He says he likes it though! I purchase it at Whole Foods for around $20.

I received this in a swap and when I opened the package and sprayed some on, all I could think of is, "wow! This smells awesome." I adore the scent of true gardenia and I've found it in this. It doesn't smell perfume-ish and fake at all. It smells so fresh and just like the flower. In fact, the scent reminds me almost of Sampaguita, which is classified as a Sambac Jasmine and is the national flower of the Philippines. I think I read online that this also has notes of orange flower in it and I love that it doesn't smell sour on me. Sometimes orange flower can turn sort of rancid smelling on my skin... It is a pretty linear scent all around. The only dry down is a fainter scent, and if worn too often, I'm sure it can be dizzying. It is a strong scent, but it isn't overwhelming. I'll probably wear this in rotation with my other 2 favorite perfumes and on days that I feel like wearing something more floral instead of fruity.

***EDIT: My only complaint about this perfume is that it doesn't last long on me. :( My skin drinks it up fast, so I spray it on my clothes as well, but even then it's full scent doesn't linger too long. This has to be one of my favorite perfumes though!

Received this as a swap from my best friend and it is incredibly enchanting. I feel like I've been lost on this lush, tropical island somewhere. It has very creamy notes of gardenia and you don't need to spray a lot. The bottles are cute and you can put them in your purse. Pacifica is a great organic company and their fragrances really speak a lot for themselves. I'm tempted to get another scent.
