I use this toner every night & I love it; it's not expensive at all & I'm not sure if it matters to others, but I like the fact that the bottle is clear because I can actually see the product. The reason I love this toner is because it's gentle & that's important to me because I have really sensitive skin. It keeps my face fresh & clean. My only complaint is that the fragrance does get a little overbearing.

most toners dried my skin out, or made it blister because of some of the chemicals. when i first started using this product within the first week i saw a difference. It made my skin feel fresh, my acne actually cleared up and I've now been using this for 3 months, and I've maybe had 2 zits on my face. Extraordinary. It has a light scent, i like the bottle, you just dab some onto a cotton ball pad it all over your face, let it dry, and follow with a daily moisturizer your good to go. I've been using the Olay total effects moisturizer right after, and by god i have never seen my skin feel or look this great since i was like like 12 years old. which is almost 12 years ago. i will buy this again and again. Only thing is finding a good place to buy it. Some places like target and shoppers it ranges from $4.00 - $8.00 a bottle. Pretty cheap.

I absolutely love this toner, because it's perfect for my sensitive combination skin. Some parts of my face are oily and some are horribly dry. This toner keeps them all balanced. It's not drying, just keeps the skin fresh. The smell is wonderful. And the best thing is, it doesn't break me out. I tend to get tiny blisters under my nose after all kinds of toners or moisturizers. This toner leaves my skin fresh and clean without blemishes or blisters.

This is a great toner! It has helped my acne clear up and I use it in conjunction with the Cetaphil moistrizer. Not to mention its cheap too at Target. This is defnitley worth a try. I will repurchase.

Olay Oil Minimizing Toner, formerly known as Olay Refreshing Toner, is a toner meant to "remover dirt, oil, and makeup without stripping skin's essential moisture". This toner is dermatologist tested and is made of fairly simple ingredients. Unfortunately, Olay does test on animals, so keep that in mind before purchasing their products. I can't find any info about where this product was made on the bottle, it just says "imported". I purchased this 7.20fl oz (212ml) bottle at Rite Aid for $4. This is a product I've been using for several years, so I think I can give a solid review on it
Packaging for Olay's toner is actually pretty appealing. A tall, rounded rectangular bottle made of clear plastic, with a beige screw on cap. The label features the Olay girl and a wave of water. Looks pretty. The front and back label offer a good amount of product information.
The toner it's self is an aqua colored solution with the same viscosity as water. As I said in the introductory paragraph, the ingredients are pretty simple. Really it's just a mix of water, alcohol, witch hazel, and aloe. You could probably make this at home for cheaps, if you're a DIY kind of girl.
Despite the second ingredient being alcohol, this toner doesn't dry out my normal to slightly oily skin at all, and I use it twice a day. Perhaps the aloe cancels out the drying affects of the alcohol. Applied to the skin on a cotton ball/round, this toner has a cooling, slightly tingly, pleasant feel to it. This toner tightens pores slightly, but not enough for those with very large ones. Oil Controlling Toner does what it's name would indicate, it removes excess oil, as well as residue left from your cleanser, and any makeup that got left behind. I wouldn't depend on this as a makeup remover though.
I also like to use this toner on any pimples I get, as it helps to dry it, and helps with the infection. It really helps pimples clear up and heal quickly.
Olay Refreshing, and now Oil Controlling toner has been my go too toner since I was 11 or 12, so it's a product I've come to know and love. I strayed from it once, when I ran out in Australia and couldn't find it there, so I bought Clean&Clear's Oil Controlling Toner, which just couldn't compare. It was much more drying, and didn't have that refreshing, witch hazel scent that I've come to find comforting.
I think it's pretty obvious that I recommend Olay's Oil Controlling Toner. It's perfect for those with normal to moderately oily skin. Those with severely oily skin might want to look into the Clean&Clear one, those with dry skin will definitely want to use something without alcohol. This toner absorbs oil without drying skin out, minimizes pores to and extent, smells good, feels good, and looks good. I can't really ask for much more in a toner. This is a product I'll continually repurchase for quite a while.

I love this toner because it works for my needs at a VERY affordable price (US$3.49). I primarily use this to remove my face makeup, but I occasionally use it on my oily t-zone as well, and it's just right! It isn't too drying for my skin, it removes excess oil, it removes my makeup well, and it shrinks my pores. Love it!

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and I really love the results. I bought it for 6.99$ at Shoppers Drug Mart (just like a Duane Read for Canadians!!), and I like the smell, the fact that it has Witch Hazel is great for keeping the acne at bay and it doesn't dry out my skin.
Will repurchase.

This is a good toner. I like the fact it has witch hazel in it which helps with acne but it drys out your skin like crazy! As long as you have a good moisturizer though you should be fine.

This toner is the same as the Oil Minimizing toner. Anyway, I love the smell of this toner and how it cleans my skin. I don't find it over drying because I have combination skin and I use a good moisturizer after the toner and it definitely minimizes the oil on my t-zone. I will be repurchasing!

I wouldn't recommend this product for everybody, but for me and my skin type, it's perfect. It does have a lot of alcohol in it which can be drying, but I have very oily skin, and I always follow up with a good moisturizer, so I haven't had any issues. I use this 3-4 times a week, and it really helps my face to feel completely clean. It does sting a little bit if you use it after exfoliating, but it's not bad. It does a great job at keeping my oily skin balanced, and seems to be keeping my breakouts in check. I have naturally small pores, so I can't say if it does much to shrink the appearance of them, but it does keep them clean.

This is very harsh on the skin and extremely drying because of the alcohol content. I don't know why it needs so much! My skin feels really tight from using this but on the plus side, my pores look smaller. It stings and burns the face, probably because of the alcohol and menthol in it. A lot of skin care products have some form of menthol in them to give a "tingling" sensation. It's a marketing ploy to get consumers to think the product is "working" at cleaning their skin. That is a bunch of BS but sadly many people are fooled. If my skin burns or tingles from a product I know it isn't supposed to be doing that. Menthol only DRIES the skin out.
Anyways, this hasn't made me break out but it hasn't really helped stop any break outs either. Yeah it's got witch hazel and aloe in it...but I think after I am done this bottle I'm going back to using witch hazel as a toner.

First of all , I don't use this toner daily bcoz it dries out the skin real bad ...Only when i'm exfoliating (usually once every 3 days ) I use this 1. to balance up the pH levels...,
2. to shrink up the pores
and 3. to get rid of particles my scrub might have left behind...
Seems like this toner does all 3 of it's job perfectly !!! My skin is refreshed , soft and perfectly CLEAN and here come the bad parts . It STINGS bcoz of the Alcohol content and the skin becomes dry bcoz of the alcohol too... Also the Fragrance is TOO STRONG ...
Bottom Line : Nothing too special like loads of anti -oxidants or acne - fighting ingredients like salicylic acid ...Just a regular toner with the above said 3 points of benefits... And who needs Color Dyes in a toner ???

This is your average, run-of-the-mill toner. It's not special in any way. But that's not necessarily a bad thing! It works as advertised. I would have to agree with other reviewers that using it too often will definitely dry out your skin, but since I'm very oily, I don't have much of a problem with that. The smell can be a little annoying if you don't like scented face products, so that's worth noting, as well. Otherwise, there's not much to say about it - it does what it should, but I ended up switching to a different brand that comes in a bigger bottle for the same price.

Good Product! Smells really good, but unless you have really oily skin I don't recommend it for everyday use, because it dries out your skin

Great product for summertime, makes my skin feel refreshed and smooth. It's also good for preventing self tanner from settling in your pores. Not an essential in my daily routine but definetely a good addition in the summer.

This product smells SO good and I truly love It. It makes my face feel very clean and (hence the name) refreshed. It lasts a average amount of time. It will be a long time before I will buy a different toner again. Good Job Olay!!

This was the cheapest toner at my local Walmart, so I decided to try it. I don't like the smell - reminds me of a cleaning product...but the scent really isn't a huge deal. I love the way this works for me, but it is rather drying, so I don't use it every single day.
