i started using this mostly because it was cheap and figured if it didn't work, at least i didn't waste a lot of money. for a while it worked really well and i liked it a lot. then all of a sudden, a couple months ago, it just stopped working and my shadow was creasing like crazy! maybe it's because the product wasn't brand new anymore, so it lost it effectiveness. whatever the case, i don't think i'll buy this again.

Genuinely disappointed in this base. The color was okay, it's a light sheer yellow base but unfortunately it creases like crazy on me, and I do not consider myself as having "oily" lids since I live in the desert, so the humidity is not a problem here. Had to return it :( Definitely will not repurchase this. I gave it 2 lippie instead of 1 lippie because I don't think it's the WORST product i've ever purchased.

No....don't like this at all. It's to creamy, too light. Not happy.

I don't have a problem with eye shadow lasting. It usually stays put for me even with no primer. I was looking for a base to make the colors a bit more vibrant, and the Ulta base doesn't really do this. I'll keep experimenting with different types of eye shadows and this base though. As others have suggested, this color is good for an under eye brightener. I also use it over my Sephora lip primer pencil when I wear light colored lip sticks. Seems to work great for colors on the lips, and for that I will re-purchase. Plus, it's cheap (got it with another Ulta eye shadow BOGO) and I like the packaging.

I bought this a couple of days ago hoping it would help keep my e/s in place and prevent creasing. Well I don't know if there is some trick to using this, but it seems to make it worse for me. I gave it plenty of time to dry on my lids before applying e/s but my lids looks so greasy and oily that the eyeshadow is just smearing off throughout the day and that is not something that happen before. I guess I'll go back to using Avon's Magix on my lids. I will definitely not repurchase this again. I don't think I can use this as a concealer as it is very very light compared to my skin tone.

I think this product is okay for under the eyes brightener, but I wouldn't use it for its purpose mainly because it creases and does not prevent smudging. The creasing happens within 3 hours. Will not purchase again because it is too much money (~$12) for what it can do....

Love love Love it! This stuff is super duper CHEAP and works! This is a good transition eye shadow base if you want to use it when your UDPP runs out. I think it really does the job intended, and has not creased on me, and I have combination skin.
OMGGGG...I just used this as a concealer this morning, and it works so perfectly. I have neverrrrrrrr used a product that corrects my dark circles like this stuff does. The texture is perfect for this. I'm heading to buy a lot more this weekend!!! Wooohooooooo

I've been looking for a good base since I thin UDPP is too steep for a college student on a budget. I thought that since Ulta seems to have good products that I should try this out since there was a BOGOF with their eyes and lips products.
Big disappointment. Just like some reviewers have said here, it made my eyes look ghostly! I'm asian with fair/medium skin tone, and this just went on pasty white on my eyes. It was horrible. I even tried it as an undereye concealer like others have suggested, but it is still to white for me.
I tried putting e/s over this of course, but for some reason it makes the pigments of the e/s dull. I tried 3 different shades over this and it just did not hold on to the color. It made the e/s very dull and light even though the L'Oreal HIP e/s in Progressive is usually pigmented on my lids. It's just not a good product. Too bad. Save your money.

In a way this is better than UDPP. UDPP is often too sheer and too tacky. Shadows will stick on the lid for sure, but they often stay in one spot and cannot be blended well. That depends on the shadow, but I've noticed it happens alot. I love the way this completely wipes on evenly and gives a new "canvas" on eyes. Lasting power and intensity of the shades is better because it's not sheer. However it works best for light-medium skintones due to the shade. I also feel this could last longer, so if you have trouble with UDPP this is a good option. It's also far cheaper and a pan. So you get all of it, and wands are not less sanitary than using your finger.

I have UDPP -- and while I think it's okay -- it's not worth the money. Ulta's eyeshadow base is almost always on sale and it works great. It deposits a skin colored tone when applied -- which is great to even out the lids, as well as prime them. I also use this on the lower lash line -- and it works BETTER than the UDPP for the lower lash line. My lids are very oily -- and this stood up to that. Would recommend for anyone who is on a tight budget, but wants some good quality make up. I would recommend any of Ulta's products -- they're absolutely amazing!!!!

MY HG base! And cheap too! :)
I've worn this alone with eyeshadow over top and yes, it doesn't stay creaseproof & fadeproof all day. However, I started pairing it with Painterly paintpot from MAC and it looks amazing. I wear those two everyday and my eyeshadow stays fresh and vibrant throughout many hours. No creasing either. It's a shame this product has so many low marks. I've repurchased this several times over the last couple of years.

i also got this in a bogo and as a base to keep shadow on, its a dud, but used over udpp, i does help even out the color, so i will use it up, but using this base is no different than using nothing. for reference, i do have very oily lids so someone with normal lids may like this. i do like the way it evens out the coloring on my lids. EDIT: i returned it after i wore it over my UDPP and it made the UDPP fail! creases oily lids, yuck! and i barely used any! save your $$ yeah its cheap, but thats because it is useless!

I bought this through a BOGO deal, just for craps and giggles. I have to say I am rather pleased with the results. Any e/s I use applies and blends nicely and I actually prefer this base's presentation over the UDPP (which I do love, FYI). It's in the same sort of pot/jar/compact/what have you that the e/s are sold in, so I am eagerly able to apply it with my own concealer brush and not some wacky wand thing that's too teensy for my eyelids ::coughUDPPcough::. Anywho...
My e/s will stay put for about 8-10 hours, depending on the finish. I can usually make it through an entire work day without my makeup creasing. If I plan on going out afterward and don't intend to change my makeup at all, then I will definitely have to use UDPP instead.
I also use this on my lips before applying lipstick and oddly enough, it sort of transforms into some kind of powder like finish. I sometimes use e/s on my lips if I'm feeling froggy and it will stay put for around 4 hours before I have to touch it up and that's AFTER eating, drinking etc.
I would definitely repurchase this if I were super broke and couldn't justify buying UDPP.

Like previous reviewers, I found this stuff to be a miserable eyeshadow base. However, for those with pasty skin tones (like me), it's a great, cheap concealer to slip into your purse.
Worthless for its intended purpose, however.

I want to love this product. I really do. It turns out that it's a great concealer to cover up the raccoon eyes my allergies cause and brightens up my entire eye area.
Also, it's dirt cheap and I have to use a small dab to cover my entire eye area, including under my eyes so that's a huge plus.
The downside it that it creases and doesn't really seem to do it's job as an eyeshadow base.
I may or may not buy this one again, but I'm leaning towards no at this point.

I tried to kid myself for a while that this was great stuff because it's cheap and easy to procure. But, it's way too "wet" for a good base and doesn't hold any eyeshadows on. The product does last forever in the pot though and so I just use it alone to even out my eye lids on days I'm in a rush and don't want to mess with my lids.

So far, so good! I got this because it looked peachy in the store and I was looking for something to try on my dark circles instead of buying an expensive salmon-colored concealer. When I opened the container and swiped it, I was surprised by just how light/WHITE it is. So there goes the concealer/neturalizer idea for me.
This morning, I decided to try it for its intended purpose and put it on under my shadows. It's very lightweight and creamy. It's whiter on me than UDPP or any of the Paint Pots (Bare Study/Painterly) or Shadesticks (Beige-ing) I've tried.
The only negative I have about this is that it didn't seem to "grab" my lid color (MAC Shore Leave) as easily as UDPP and other similar products. The other colors were fine.
I've had my makeup on for about 5 hours now. I've made it through bathing a 10 month old who likes to splash, and I live in Georgia, so the heat and humidity are pretty crazy. So far, my shadows are pretty intense and they haven't creased. My liner hasn't smudged, either, which can happen with some bases.

I ended up buying this when I went to Ulta to buy UDPP and they were out. I asked the one of the girls if it was just as good and she said "oh yeah, it's better", yeah right! This stuff is so bad, it does not intensify colors, or make your shadow last. Another bad thing, it never seemed to dry. Don't waste your money on this!

I picked this up over the weekend and somehow discovered that this is a nifty, lightweight concealer. It's easier to use and better suits my pasty-white skin tone than the Benefit concealer I had been using.
I haven't tried it yet to keep the e/s in place, but when I dot and blend it in just the right spots, I can skip wearing foundation.
And or $6.50, I feel like singing. This might be something I hoard. :D

This product is almost identical to Estee Lauder Double Wear Eyeshadow Base. It is a cream that comes in a eyeshadow style compact. It does nothing to prevent eyeshadow from creasing. Total waste of money, will not buy again.
