I like this product, it's a good go-to for everyday. I'm not big on styling my hair every day, I like to just scrunch and air dry. This makes my hair more manageable and smooth. I love the texture of this, it's very creamy and not greasy at all. I feel like I'm nourishing my hair every time I use it. It doesn't leave my hair sticky so I use this after a shower at night and it doesn't leave gunk on my pillow. In the morning, I just mist my hair with a detangler to get out any kinks from sleeping and apply a tad bit more of this product along with a couple spritz of a spray gel in my hand, combining the two and scrunch in hair. I have to use another product and combine with this because this makes my hair soft and smooth but it really doesn't have any hold. To get a little definition to my waves, I need a little more. I noticed a lot of people comparing this to Frederic Fekkai's glossing cream and I don't really agree, I felt the glossing cream had more hold and weight to the product and this one is more lightweight and creamy. But I still prefer this over Fekkai's because sometimes it would make my hair greasy because it was easy to overdo it. In terms of shine, I already had pretty shiny hair due to my awesome conditioner so it was hard to notice the difference but it does look smoother so that helps.

This definitely gives lots of shine (shimmer particles)- 5 stars for that aspect. It does not weigh hair down and does not get oily/greasy/serumy so I would rec it for fine haired girls. My hair is very soft, shiny and full of body.
For me, however, I was hoping it would smooth down the frizzy layers in my hair- not even close. It does say on the package it's supposed to do this, hence the 4-star, not 5-star rating.

I will have to combine this with Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum to get that smooth-down look though. I really didn't want to ADD a product to my routine. It would have been nice to replace my HG Paul Mitchell product for a $5.49 product, but not the case.

Has a wonderful scent and leaves my hair shiny without weighing my hair down. My hair was still soft and curly. You can also layer this with other styling products without too many problems. A tube should last for quite a bit.

This is my first review even though I have been a member for over 2 yrs. I just had to share how great this stuff is, I love the smell and how it smooths my hair but doesn't weigh it down and make it greasy like other products. I believe this is a knock off of Aqauge Detailing creme it smells exactly the same but works so much better for a fraction of the price. Buy it, you wont be dissapointed!!

This product is an excellent product for adding shine to hair with out making hair look oily or weighing it down. I have fine hair that can start to look flat and oily very quickly with shine products. However, I have used this for around 4 months and I do not have that problem with this.
I have also used Fekkai glossing cream and in comparison I would say that Aquelle gives me just as much shine. Between the two I prefer the Aquelle because I feel that I have to be really careful in the application of Fekkai to avoid greasiness. With this, after a shower I take a pea size amount, put it on the ends of my hair and then brush it through. I can let my hair dry like normal for healthy shine and some protection against frizz or I use a flat iron. The product works well when I use a flat iron for a glossy finished look.
The bottle is 4 oz. for $5.29 at Sally's. The squeeze tube has traveled with me and hasn't spilled any so I am happy enough with the packaging. This does have a scent, I find the smell to be a fresh scent that doesn't bother me and isn't overwhelming. The scent also dissipates and is not noticeable when my hair is dry. But if you are really sensitive to smells take this into consideration.
I think it's worth the risk especially in comparison to the price of Fekkai ($9 for 1.6 oz.). And personally I hated the strong smell of the Fekkai. A little goes a long way so one tube lasts a long time. I would repurchase.

Update (6-5-09)- Still using this product and I really like it. I have even gotten my mom using this and she really likes it. Her hair is very different from mine, very thick and more oily than mine. She also likes it because it feels light and doesn't make her hair greasy either.

This product is IDENTICAL to Rusk Deep Shine Phytomarine Lusterizer. It smells the same, works the same and it SO much cheaper. It's great for making hair shiny and silky without making it greasy. Love it!!!

I adore this product so much! It was recommended by someone on a haircolor forum, so I went to Sally's and picked up a tube. Wow...I was not disappointed. It does not weigh my hair down or make it feel greasy, which is my number one complaint with these types of products. It just makes it smooth and shiny and healthier looking. Since I color and highlight my hair, it's hard to keep it looking healthy, but this stuff is amazing. It's also very inexpensive, which is a huge plus. I usually buy 2 or 3 at a time because I'm paranoid that they'll stop making it! :-)

Aquelle Marine Therapy System Aqualust Lusterizer ($5.29 for 4 oz.) is an excellent, affordable knock-off of Rusk Deepshine Phyto-Marine Lusterizer ($13 for 4.4 oz.). I found this at Sally Beauty Supply on sale for Buy 2 Get 1 Free (anything in Aquelle product line), so it only cost me about $4. I love the scent and the fact that it doesn't leave my hair feeling coated or greasy. My hair is thick, straight, and color-treated. Aquelle Aqualust Lusterizer gives my hair glossy shine and smoothness.
Sally's marketing lingo: Leaves hair silky smooth while adding moisture and body. Lightweight creme, lusterizing formula gives instant shine and brings out natural highlights. Aquelle is a rich blend of concentrated extracts derived from the ocean's nutrients; providing the minerals, vitamins and protein which are vital to replenish the hair's natural balance. Apply to wet or dry hair. Dispense a small amount into palms, depending on hair length and texture. Massage through hair and style as usual. May be reapplied to dry hair as often as necessary to maintain a soft pliable look and feel. May also be applied to porous ends prior to hair coloring so as to prevent too much color deposit on the ends.
* Creme becomes invisible once applied to hair
* Provides instant shine
* Brings out natural highlights and revitalizes color-treated hair
* Helps eliminate frizz and improves combing ability
* Provides heat protection and contains a highly active UVB absorber that protects from sun damage
* Helps minimize negative effects from elements such as chlorine and salt water
* Ideal for all hair types

I think this line is a knockoff of Rusk's DeepShine (phytomarine) line. This whole product line smells pretty amazing, and at $5/bottle it is a pretty decent bargain. Note: my hair is dry, coarse, color-treated, and I heat style daily. The shampoo cleanses well and rinses clean without leaving hair feeling stripped and dry, but doesn't leave it feeling weighed down or coated. It feels gentle, but I would not call it hydrating. I follow it with the Hydraloc conditioner, leave it in for about 10 minutes while I shave my legs, then rinse it out, and use a tad of that as a leave-in, followed by the lusterizer cream for blowdrying and flat-ironing, and then another dab of the lusterizer after if my hair is frizzy or looks dry. For heat protection it is great, and my hair does feel soft and looks super shiny. It also seems to give me more volume than other products I've used. I can't tell about UV protection, as it is winter and I haven't been out in the sun much. So far it hasn't faded my color. I can use a ton of the conditioner, and the lusterizer cream, and my hair doesn't look greasy or weighed down. The lusterizer cream provides great shine and manageability without heaviness. It also gives great shine and protects against heat styling. I love the scent and I think this might work very well for people with normal hair, but if your hair tends to be very dry, you're probably going to have to supplement with leave-ins and heavier conditioners. It isn't super hydrating, but then it doesn't claim to be. I think it provides enough moisture for normal to slightly dry hair, but probably is not intended for super dry hair. Still, I really like this line and the results it gives. I'm going to continue using it. Overall I think this is a nice product line that does what it says it will do, and has an awesome scent.

This makes my long hair shiney and silky. I would compare this to Fekkai glossing cream, but so much cheaper. I purchased it at Sally's for $5.99 for a 4 oz. tube, versus the $19.50 I usually pay for the 4 oz. Fekkai. I usually use the Fekkai, but it is a little pricey and I do go through it pretty fast. I just figure that if it gives me the same results, then why not save some money. A little goes a long way. I have also recently tried Aquelle's Marine Therapy System Sea Foam Mousse and I like that as well.

Wow, I'm really surprised that no one has reviewed this product yet! I found out about Aqualust on the Hair Board. I had been using a variety of products to deal with all of the damage I have done to my hair (color and heat styling). I've tried Tigi Afterparty (and the Beyond the Zone knockoff) and Shinejunkie, Aveda Brilliant pomade, serum and spray, Fekkai Glossing Cream . This product is probably the best I have tried. It is definitely comparable to Fekkai Glossing (which broke out my forehead) but is about 1/3 the cost (around $5 at Sally's). The only downside is the smell, while Fekkai also has a strong smell, I do like the smell and performance of Fekkai slightly better. This is just a nice, medium strength shine cream. I can use it before and after heat styling and it doesn't weigh down my hair at all. I have long, thick, layered color treated and heat damaged hair that needs a lot of product. Considering how well it works and the price I will definitely continue to use this.
