Can't say this is worth the $250 price tag, its high quality but I wouldn't pay that for a full size bottle. The scent is sweet and warm, but its complex too, even smells a little spicy to me. Over all it is a good unisex perfume but personally it didn't impress me.

Well, this was not at all what i was expecting. I was expecting pine trees and fresh in a more timbuktu or yatagan kind of way. And this is fresh, but it's also grand, for my taste a little overly elaborate perhaps. I like complicated, I mean I like it in chypres, maybe it's because i'm not such a huge fan of either grapefruit or mint (or it might just be the minty end of lavender). This will probably not be of any help to anyone, yet ill still say it, that i don't enjoy this in the way i didn't enjoy Yohji Homme. I don't even think there's anice in this: not that I'm necessarily anti-anice. And this is no where near as strong, which was my main complaint w/ Yohji. I mean, it's worth trying, I don't regret it, and am relieved of not needing to imagine i have monopoly money to spend the six hundred bucks or whatever it is for the crazy limoge bottle.

I have nothing to add to the both terrific and spot-on reviews below, except that I totally agree!!

This is my favorite of the entire Parfums MDCI line - it may be labeled as a man's scent, but any woman can wear this gorgeous, sexy and soft leather beauty. The description on Luckyscent is very apt - the fragrance is quiet, yet fascinating in its surprising depth. It is fresh - grapefruit and lavender open this beautifully - and also warm. The woods, vanilla and musk form a soft, warm base that layers beautifully with the soft spices in the middle. Invasion Barbare is really terrific scent, maybe not worth the $600 Luckyscent is asking, but I would gladly get the refill bottle. This is definitely on my to-buy list this year. Notes: grapefruit, bergamot, violet leaves, white thyme, cardamom, lavender, ginger, cedarwood, vanilla and musk.
