The best primer ever. My makeup always looks amazing for hours and it really fills in your pore for a smooth and beautiful finish for your foundation. Great for sensitive skin too! I have no interest in trying anything else!

Ok. I got this as a sample and have been using it everyday for a week straight. I honestly can NOT tell the difference between this primer and ELF's Mineral Infused Primer. Not at all. However I CAN tell the difference between the price! Smashbox $36 (!!!!) ELF $6. Unless You're a die hard Smashbox fan, save yourself $30 and buy ELFs primer.

I have only tested this primer out once from a sample I received and it was enough to for me to know I'd never purchase this. The high silicone content does not react well with my combination/oily skin and I look like I am wearing Vaseline when I use this. No doubt about it, the primer gives you a very smooth finish in terms of feel, but the shine I experienced from it is off the charts. No amount of powdering or blotting will make it go away for me. This might be more suitable for those of you with normal or dry skin but I would caution you if you are hoping to achieve a matte finish with this as your base. If that's not a concern then I would say give it a try, but I would also be careful with the ingredients in this primer as it may clog pores.

This is my hg primer and I have used it for years. Nothing makes my skin look as airbrushed as this. I wish it would control oil better, but it still does make my foundation stay on much longer.

I have extremely acne prone skin and decided to give this primer a try based off of the good reviews. Unfortunately after only two days of using it I broke out in cystic acne all across my chin and on the sides of my nose :( I would not recommend this!

I got a small tube of this after my friend tried it and liked it.

I did not like it at all, except for the initial application. When I first put it on, it felt smooth and really nice on my skin. After applying the rest of my makeup, I really couldn't tell a difference. And a couple of days later, it broke me out.

Would not recommend, would not repurchase.

As I purchased this in the bigger tube size and have been using daily for a few months now I feel I have given this a good enough go to see if its a true winner in the world of primers...

I have normal/combination skin with a prone to oily T-Zone as the day goes on, I do have visible pores on and around my nose I like to blot out. This goes on beautifully and smoothly, with a minimal amount going a long way - on me I think it works well enough for a few hours but not the whole day.

It works best when my skin is in tip-top condition, which for me is when I'm keeping up with regular masks and my skin is well moisturised otherwise this product seems to make no difference really at all.

I also have Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer and feel this is a better performer than the Smashbox, so if you are tossing up between the two I would go for the Hourglass.

Will not be a repurchase for me.

This honestly really didn't seem to do much of anything for me and my large pores and oily skin. I will keep playing around with it, maybe adjusting the amount I use, since I already paid the large price tag!

This primer and the regular Photo Finish are both excellent. I find that I use this one the most though because it doesn't feel as heavy under my makeup.

While the original primer is more gel-like, Light has a more lotion like consistency. It blends into the skin a little more instead of sitting on top of the skin. I like the way it feels once it's applied. It makes a velvety smooth canvas for my foundation.

I find that this works great with any foundation. I usually prefer to use this one with my more dewy foundations and regular photo finish with my more matte ones. However, Light works great with anything. My makeup goes on smooth and even, without too much shine. Add a setting powder and your complexion is set for the day.

As with all smashbox primers, this keeps my makeup in place all day long. It is a little pricey, but since it increase the longevity of your makeup, it's totally worth it. Definitely an HG product for me.

This is my favorite primer. I use it under the Estee Lauder Double Wear. It doesn't make me break out and makes the foundation go on so smoothly. It slightly controls oil, keeps me oil free for a couple hours. I like this primer way better than the original smashbox photofinish because the original is way heavier in my opinion and breaks me out.
