St.Ives is a very under rated brand. I went to the store looking for a cleanser and saw this one. It was cheep and I loved the St.Ives Apricot scrub so I decided to try it out. I was SO impressed with the results. It left my skin clear, moisturized and soft! I love this product, it was so great.
*St.Ives has a clear skin line, sensitive skin line, and naturally beautiful line*

I accidentally bought this instead of the scrub while I was in a hurry one day. I didn't realize my mistake until I had got some out of the tube to use it, so I tried it. I was very disappointed since I've used the scrub for years and LOVED it. This somehow manged to suck the moisture and oil out of my face while not exfoliating. I was left with a very dry and tight feeling face. I used it several times before counting it as a lost cause. I will say that I do have especially sensitive skin, so perhaps it was a particular ingredient that my face had a problem with. Either way, I'm not buying it again, or even finishing my current tube.

I bought this last minute while leaving for college, along with a clean&clear brand acne cleanser. It smoothes on thick, like a typical cream face-wash, in comparison to a gel cleaner. I use it at night since it exfoliates my pores and gives me a deep clean, it also makes my face very smooth but sometimes oily. Living in a humid state, I use it at night and my stronger face-wash in the morning before applying my make-up. (so my face isn't oily..rather matted instead.)
I also notice it works great as a mask if your skin is dry! Apply it to dry skin, scrub, let it set, and then rinse off.
For the extra low price, good size bottle, long lasting scent, and cleaning quality..it's a great buy! Even if you dislike the product it wasn't a huge loss in the wallet!

This product is great; however, it should not be used every day. I find that it leaves my skin dry and as a result an hour after I have washed my face it becomes very oily. I guess its trying to make up for the removal of all of that natural moisture.

For the price, I love this product. I paid 2.45$ Canadian at Walmart, and I'm so glad I picked it up. For 3 bucks, it does a fantastic job. I have normal skin, and i don't break out easily (at all, really), so this did a fantastic job for me. If your skin retains alot of dirt, or is really oily, it may not be a deep enough cleanser for you. My skin doesn't really retain dirt, so I don't really need a deep cleanser. Also, this leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized. Will buy again.

I have combination/ oily skin and this cleanser works very well for every day use. The exfoliant beads are very gentle (unlike the harsher apricot scrub), the scent is light, and it does the job of getting rid of dirt and oil. Sometimes a bit drying so moisturizing is necessary and I wouldn't recommend for people with dry skin

It's a decent and safe product for me to use, however it doesn't help you with blemish. When I have breakouts, I use other products immediately. But this product is great otherwise: cleans oil and dirt, foams, and does not dry ( I have combination skin so with other cleansers my cheeks get so dry and patched! eek!). So yeah, it's a very safe product for me!

It smells great but sadly didn't do much for my acne-prone skin. The exfoliation was nice, but afterward my skin would seem oilier than before for whatever reason. I have a lot of blackheads on my cheeks and this sadly didn't do anything for them. I'll stick with my noxzema! The apricot cleanser might work better for others than for me, though, I'm not saying it's a bad product.

This is a good basic cleanser. It is a little drying sometimes so moisturizer after is needed. It definately removes all the oil and dirt off your face.

incredibly good... not too over-drying... foams well, rinses clean, the scent is okay also... this winter strangely my skin has become more oily than before... needed a foaming gel cleanser... this fits the bill perfectly... another cleanser that is strangely seeming to work good is Noxzema's 60 second cleansing whip... i alternate them so as to not over-dry the face and make me put on more moisturizer... *might* repurchase...

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! I've been using this product for the past 3 years (when my skin became too dry for Clean & Clear cleansers). My skin is sensitive, quite dry but break-out prone, and this cleanser works very well for me. It removes ALL of my make-up without over-drying, the light scent is pleasant, and the price is incredibly low. I hope they never discontinue this!

This was probably my first cleanser ever, and it irritated my skin pretty bad. My face felt burning all over, and it was red for a few days. Who knows, it's probably a good cleanser, but just not right for my skin.

Update: my last review was based on the time when i have used this as a teenager...so fast fwd about 10 years...i have decided to give this product a try again. I wanted to see if this will help get rid of blackheads on my nose, and also b/c of the salicylic acid im hoping it can keep my face from breaking out during my wk of PMS....so far, it has lessen # of breakouts, but not the blackheads. This product does make my skin somewhat dry after cleansing, but not too bad. I would buy it again, but maybe ill try out the more gentler formula they have.

Its ok...thats it....it doesnt completely take off makeup and its a little drying...maybe for ppl with very oily skin...prefer a cleanser for dry skin.

It smelled amazing and I was really looking foward to using it but it made my skin breakout. Aww, too bad. :(
Other than that it did make my skin feel clean and had a nice lather.

I generally like St. Ives, but was slightly disapointed by this. Their skin care line is quite cheap and good quality.
I've had my eye on this product for a while, and when I finally bought it it didn;t do what i'd hoped.
I have sensitive skin (not extremely sinsitive though) and this left it dry and caused some irritation after a while.
My mother used it on the other hand, and it worked well for her. if you have normal/oily skin this will do nicely for you, but if youre bordering on normal/dry, dry or sensitive then I suggest you try their cream cleansers.

this cleanser is the best i've ever used in my life! i swear by this product and will stick to it for the rest of my life as long as they don't discontinue it :)
i have an acne-prone, sensitive, combination (oily on t-zones but dry elsewhere) skin that has caused much stress for many years. i've used many different facial cleansers, from cheap drug store brands to expensive department stores brands. i was using cetaphil for the longest time until i've come across this amazing cleanser!! i probably picked it up because it's so cheap and i happened to like other st.ives products. and ohmygosh, i've been completely fallen in love with this product ever since! i never buy anything else but this cleanser now. it foams well enough to remove my makeup, has refreshing apricot scent that i love everytime i use it, and is very, very soft for my super sensitive skin (but of course cleansing enough to remove everything on my face)!! i take this everywhere i go - i can't use any other cleansers now because they will just irritate or cause breakouts on my skin. i can't express how much i looooooove this product!!
please try this if cetaphil doesn't seem to be working for you. it did wonders for me for amazingly cheap price!!
