I got hooked on this product after I got a sample of this in a gift with purchase from Prescriptives 3/4 years ago. I use it day and night and really like it. Its not heavy or greasy, absorbs quickly, and a few drops goes a long way. In the morning I put it on before my moisturizer, and I feel like it preps my skin for my foundation to go on smoothly. I'm sad now knowing that it will no longer be available, and that I'll have to search for something to replace it.

I really like this product. I use this serum day and night, but only on my laugh lines which are very prominent on my face. I think I am going to try to use the serum all over my face and see what happens. I have acne prone skin that tends to be dehydrated during the winter time. I will update the post.

Let me just start by saying mom used this for many years, from the time it came out in the 80s until very recently. She is 56 and her skin looks amazing. I just turned 29, so I am really starting to be concerned about anti-aging products, but most of them make me break out. Yeah, I'm fighting acne AND wrinkles at the same time. Lucky me! This product has not caused one single breakout. In fact, I think that this actually seems to help my breakouts heal faster. It is not sticky or heavy at all and is absorbed right away into my skin. I love that I can use it on my eyes as well, so I don't use a separate eye cream.
I've been using this morning and night for about 8 weeks and the fine lines I do have seem to have diminished slightly. What I really notice, though, is that my whole complexion is brighter and healthier looking. I put it on before moisturizer and makeup and seems to make my foundation and concealer go on more smoothly. I also put it on under my night cream, or skip the night cream entirely if the weather is humid.
I also put this on after I get Glycolic peels or Microdermabrasion and it's so soothing, and again, non irritating at all. Bottom line is that I am hooked on this stuff for sure. I've seen it on eBay for cheaper than the Prescriptives counter, but given a little goes a long way, I wouldn't mind paying full price for this.

This stuff is great, and thanks to Prescriptives' free samples I've had about a year's free supply. The hylauronic acid has a nice plumping effect, and we're all aware of the benefits of antioxidants. It doesn't mix particularly well with my concealer, so I use this at night underneath a heavier cream. It feels great going on and visibly reduces lines. I like the nifty eye-dropper packaging too, very sanitary. I probably won't buy it because it's so expensive, but I'll continue to stock up on samples when making other purchases.

I got suckered into buying this product with no clue if it would really work for me. The SA kept applying gobs of it before my foundation (which is why I had come to the Px counter in the first place...foundation) Anyway, turns out this didn't do much for my skin. It didn't irritate it (I have highly sensitive eczema prone skin with patches of eczema on my face as well) I don't feel like this was an effective product. I used to quite a few days before giving up. There were no visible adverse affects, but then again my skin looked the same. Not a rebuy for me. Pricey as well.

I have used this serum on and off for about 3 years. I am now on my third bottle and still love it! It absorbs really easily into the skin and leaves a really great slip on the skin making it perfect for foundation to go on to. It feels very hydrating to the skin and isn't sticky or greasy at all. It has a strange smell to it, I really can't put my finger on it but it isn't the best smelling product out there but it certainly does the job!

my facialist who works for prescriptives uses this and swears by it , on every kind of skin. Im 18 years old and she says this is the best thing for my skin..i like it because it helps with redness and i just feel comfortable wearing it because it's not so serumy so you dont feel like your breaking out ..i havn't seen any huge results yet but my skin has become slightly clearer and smoother.. i will keep using this with hope!

So far, this becomes the most favorite serum in my daily routine, it is light, easy to be absorted, and give my face a smooth feel.

It seems Prescriptives is designed for senior citizen skin that's really thin and papery. Bought the 3-piece kit and it's all too thick, greasy and does absolutely nothing for my skin. This serum has had no effect except to make my skin look oily. It's like there's no active ingredients in it, just lard.

I was recommended to get it at the Prescriptives counter, so I did and I love it. I don't understand why it has such a low rating because it has made my skin look so much smoother. I have hyperpigmentation spots and some uneven skin texture (from my acne prone skin) and it has smoothed out my skin. I have been using it twice a day on clean skin, right before my moisturizer. I dont know why some reviewers used it as primer, I was told it was a serum to use before you moisturize- then you prime- then you put your makeup. It has a very nice slick texture that just immediately soaks into my skin, smell is good. I have had no breakouts with this product either.

Even though I like some of Prescriptives products, I have to say this one didn't meet my expectations.
Pros: Very good packaging. Doesn't have any annoying fragrances and has great slippery texture.
Cons: There is something quite not right with the formulation. I'm guessing this product is more suitable for oilier skins or summer time, for it gave me weird pimples, tiny red that are stubborn to come out. I tried this serum twice with the same negative results. I think it makes my skin drier and irritated leading to skin inflammations. Anyway, I'm done with it. It's a bummer the bottle is still almost full.

super line preventor EXTREME is aweesomeeee.. im not sure if these comments are referring to the new SLP or the old! because i am oilier i wasnt a huge fan of the old one but the new EXTREME is awesssomeee. I definately would recommend it for any and everyone! if you're oily like me.. its basically a well formulated moisturizer and can be used alone in the day time if its hydrating enough for you!
its claims to be a foundation primer, however is not that accurate, but the fact that it has vitamins A, C, and E and hylaronic acid are enough for me, since the neutralize free radicals and are like veggies for the skin!
awesome if you have sensitivities as it was originally created for burn victims! i love to use it most after i exfoliate as it takes away that bare feeling my skin has and really makes my moisturizer work better!
i love to follow this one up with a Pure Vitamin C serum to really get a nice glow!
HAPPY HOLIDAYSS!

I can't believe this product hasn't got better reviews! This is my single favourite skincare product ever. It is an antioxidant serum, oil-free moisturiser and primer in one for me. I have oily, slightly congested, acne-prone (but blemish-free), formally dehydrated 19yo skin & my skin loves this stuff. I no longer have any flakines & my skin feels beautifully soft & hydrated.
I use this in the morning straight after my cleanser (Leaf & Rusher Green Tea Wash), then apply tinted moisturiser (Stila Sheer Colour Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser SPF30), followed by foundation (By Terry Light Expert) and the rest of my makeup.
At night, I use it after my cleanser and Vit A & C serum (Leaf & Rusher Active Serum), and under my night creme (Leaf & Rusher TX Formula/ Perricone Vit C Ester Concentrated Restorative Cream).
I would recommend this routine to anybody with my skintype :)

I found this to be a lightweight, oil-free serum that easily absorbs into the skin. Although this does contain silicones, the serum is so light that I did not find this to be an effective primer for me. It contains Acetyl hexapeptide-8 to relax wrinkles. I much prefer Estee Lauder's CP+ Serum as my primer. As for the anti-aging benefits of this product, I did not notice any reduction in fine lines or improved skin tone from using this.

I love this product and will get it again. I never got to finish the full bottle because I spilled it, but i enjoyed using it every time i got the chance. I feel the results were better than La Mer lifting serum. It made my skin smooth, brighter, and gave me a more even skin tone. I will repurchase for sure. I like the scent as well. I think the price is good for the results. The 1 oz. is $48 and 1.7oz is $76, so no big savings for buying the larger size.

Overall, even though Paula Begoun likes this product, it really doesn't help with redness or wrinkles, or anything else really for that matter -- at least for me. Perhaps it's perfect for other people but I'm not a fan and I've tried it for a while now. I haven't seen even a slight improvement and I have discovered serums that are much better and more soothing and calming (which is what I care more about than wrinkles) by Lauder as well like the new Perfectionist serum product. I think this Prescriptives serum needs to be reformulated even though there are some good ingredients in this. Maybe they're good for the skin in theory, but you can't really see a difference in your skin and for this price you should. Better luck next time.

When i went to the prescriptives counter I asked for a primer since I love their foundations. The salesperson assured me this product was so great! I was so excited and rushed home to try it. I should have known with my acne prone/oily skin it would break me out, but I thought give it a while, thats normal. 2 week later and I am still breaking out....:(

Thisn is an awesome product!!! As far as better makeup application, I dont really see a difference, but my skin results is a plus!! I bought this product because I use a moisturizer for day and night that doesn't have any anti-oxidants, so i thought this serum would be an awesome addition to my skincare routine. After the first application of this (before a moisturizer) my skin already felt baby soft!! My skin usually by midday tends to flake around my nose area and this serum has kept everything dewy and hydrated. Most importantly, I've even seen a slight reduction in my pore size after only a week of use and my skin is not breaking out since it's oil- free!!

I had a makeup application with this product and was recommended that I buy this. I just turned 50 and have volatile skin - and have sun damage and even breakouts at my age. This serum is non-acnegenic and oil-free which is fabulous. It doesn't have fragrance, another plus. It comes in a 1-fl. oz. bottle with dropper. It's supposed to prevent environmental damage somehow and also improve the looks of lines & wrinkles (which it does). At first it seemed like no big deal; I wasn't seeing immediate results but it felt great. Now I have used this for a week and a half and it's working marvelously, sinks in and hydrates with no breakouts and no irritation. This goes on first after cleansing. After this, then you apply your moisturizer. I use an oil-free moisturizer. The dropper in the bottle is a nuisance, it should be in a pump dispenser. It's quite pricey, I think I paid over $55 for this. Now I'm getting spoiled and since it's plumping and hydrating so well, I'll probably have to keep buying it!

I was given this as part of a Christmas package, and have been using it since (now April). I think that it is really useful as a moisture holder for the over 40s. I certainly would not use it if I were younger! It is very well packaged I think, with the dropper. Now, I think some people here are using too much. I watched a make up artist use it at the counter locally and he used two tiny drops for the whole face and neck, and patted and rolled it in, He also warmed it up slightly on his hand. The very large size should last 6 months. I find that it has really plumped my skin and there have been no sign of breakouts. It melts into the skin and I leave it before I apply anything else, but have not had a problem with it. So, less is more in this case. I think it is a very good product. As usual though - why do Prescriptives charge so much in the UK when it is a reasonable price in the US!!!
