When I bought this I had never used liquid eyeliner before. I asked one of the SAs at Sephora, and she recommended this one, in black.
I have tried a few other liquid liners since (lancome/mac) and this is definitely the best. It's very precise and easy to use. It's almost completely mistake proof, even for beginners. It dries pretty quickly, and it stays put all day. Granted, I don't have oily eye lids, but still. It doesn't smudge at all. The black is very intense. I find it very easy to go over it. Just wait for it to dry before thickening the line.
I won't buy this again because I prefer gel eye liner (bobbi brown), but if you're looking for a great liquid liner, don't hesitate in trying this. :)

This stays put throughout the day and doesn't start to smudge into my eyelid creases even when my skin starts to get a little oily. For me, that makes this an HG product because every other liquid liner I had would start to smudge. Anyone having problems finding a good liquid liner should give this a try.

I don't typically buy liquid liners, but I got this in a set and have really enjoyed it. For me, holding a pen-style brush is far easier than the standard liquid liner design, but this will vary by person and if you're a pro with the typical style, you may not like to switch. I love that the tip is somewhat similar to a felt-tip pen; it holds its shape well and has a taper that is gentle enough to easily adjust the pressure you apply and get different thicknesses.
Sometimes after doing one eye, if I don't give it a second upside down, I will go to the second eye too quickly and it won't "write" quite as smoothly. Just give it a second for the liner to flow down again. I also store mine with the tip facing down so it doesn't dry out or anything, though it seems to be designed with enough care that this is unlikely. The packaging is sturdy and the cap stays on tight. I would feel comfortable throwing this in my purse without worrying about leaking, though I haven't put it to the test.
$23 seems a bit high on its own. I bought this as a set with 5 full-size LORAC items for $39 and I would still consider buying it on its own when or if I run out, but hopefully it will continue to show up in their sets.

I love this eyeliner! I have had trouble with liquid eyeliners in the past. i'm not the greatest at getting a good straight line (although I am getting much better now after using this product) and with other eyeliners, when I would go back over the line, it would flake off, and then you end up with a bunch of gunky buildup trying to go over the flaked off spots. Not the case with this eyeliner!! it dries very quickly and isn't flaky at all, it flexes and stretches with your skin, instead of drying hard. And it lasts all day!
The tip of the pen is awesome, you can get a thin or thick line depending on what you want. When you apply it over eye shadow, sometimes the tip of the pen doesn't write a smooth because the eye shadow gets on the tip, but I find if you just do a test line on the back of your hand, or a paper towel, then shake the tube it clears the tip.

Great liquid eyeliner for beginners. Brush tip allows you to create thick or thin lines and layering must be used to achieve a very dark appearance. But as a beginner, you want to practice with liquid eyeliner (it dries quickly!) and this is the perfect one to use!

Excellent liner; this is coming from a serious gel liner devotee. It is so, so easy to use. The tip is precise and flexible and makes it easy to NOT screw up your line. Color is a dark, true black. Staying power excellent. I have had mine a couple weeks, if it dries out like other reviews say, I will revise my opinion. Until then...cat eyes all around.
EDIT: I am raising this to a 5. It is awesome.

I really can't believe some of the low ratings on this. This is my go to eyeliner now, I've used it every day since I bought it! The color is super black, and it stays put all day. I love the brush too, it creates super precise lines. It may be pricey, but I know I'll be buying another when I run out.

Okay, so I have always used pencil eyeliner. I mean seriously, up until a few months ago I would have smirked at the thought of trying to achieve the looks I go for using LIQUID liner. However, I have rather sensitive skin, and the daily rubbing action of pencil liner was annoying, and beginning to concern me, so I decided it was time to try liquid. I've got to say, that there are so many liquid liners that are just really crappy products. The applicators are on some are felt, and too stiff, and others are brushes and make it nearly impossible to draw a continuous line. After many disappoitments (and I'm talking name brands here) I had just about given up, but then as I was browsing the isles at Ulta, I came upon a tester for this product. After drawing a few test lines on my hand, I realized that I had to have this product. I was not disappointed with this product at all. I have found my HG liner, and will never go back to pencil. If you are a pencil liner fan, I encourage you to try this product, it is definitely worth the price.

This is my favorite liner. I prefer liquid liners, & I find that this one is the easiest to use. It is very easy to be precise. It also stays put all day. Even though it is waterproof, it is very easy to remove without makeup remover, I just use face wipes or take it off in the shower. I have had a leaky pen in the past, but Ulta replaced it without issue.

I'm surprised this product isn't rated higher. I love this eyeliner because it's easy to use, stays on all day and removes easily with eye makeup remover. I've had mine for over a year and it's still going strong. It is pricey but worth it as I use it every day.

One of my favorite liquid liners. The packaging itself is very small and sleek, metallic in color (very chic!), and pen-like. I like how the cap of the liner is very secure, so the brush tip is kept airtight and won't dry out. The pigment of the liner was very good and applied easily to my lids. The thin brush tip allows precision in application, from very thin and natural to thick and dramatic lines. To prevent too much of the ink flowing to the tip and getting a messy application, I usually store the liner with the tip facing upwards. Definitely recommend!

This specifically refers to the PRO version in black.
Probably the nicest liquid liner application brush I've found: precise enough for a lot of detail, long enough for a nice long sweep, a nice hint of firmness to keep the line from squidging or dumping too much product at once.
That being said the product itself is very temperamental, when it's great it's GREAT, good staying power and a nice dark line... but when it's not it's a serious fight to get a good look (and when liner is one of the last things you put on mess-ups can be a serious problem). It dries very fast, which is nice for keeping it in place, but if you have to go over it to darken it or tweak a line more often than not it will pick up part of the previous line like a dry erase marker.
I always make sure to shake really well before application to be sure there's enough product on the brush to get my line done in one shot and even then I sometimes have to draw on my hand a few times to be sure it's dark enough.
I'm told that some tubes are better than others so if you get a really bad one don't hesitate to return it.
Not great on bare skin or just primer so look elsewhere for your "I just have to run out quick" makeup. Goes on best over primer and shadow.

Awesome eyeliner. This eyeliner has restored my faith in liquid eyeliner again. :D I love how I don't have to dip the brush into product. The color continuously flows from the pen like a marker. Love it! And staying power is awesome!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair Hair: Blond, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Blue
the pigment is very black and intense, and it doesnt flake or fade. this was my first liquid eyeliner, and i thought i would have trouble getting the application down, but this is so easy to use. even as a beginner, i got perfect, precise lines. this makes it so easy to define my eyes. the only reason this gets a 4 and i wont be repurchasing is because the brush is very thin, and i want a thicker line without having to go over it a million times. but i def recommend this to beginners.

Best liquid eyeliner out there! You can make an ultra fine line with this product....just the tiniest line ever. Stays in place, doesn't run or fade, doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, and dries quickly. I wish it came in more colors!

I work at Ulta, so I was testing every single professional eyeliner to see which has the best lasting power, I decided this was definitly the best.. however once I purchased it I was dissapointed in the packaging. I popped off the top and the liquid was wasted all over the top.. it's not cheap so I was a little upset about that.. I tried it a few other times after that and after 5 uses it seemed to be out because nothing would glide on so I ended up returning it. I really want to love this product so I'm hoping I just picked up a bad one and will be trying it again some other time.

I love these. They are so simple to use and get a thick or thin line. Staying power is so-so... But easy to carry with and touch up. Totally expensive but they last a while... The brown is beautiful! Black is dark black. Overall nice eyeliner.

This is by far my favorite liquid liner. I am so clumsy at applying other liquid liners but this one is so easy! It creates thick and think lines and lasts all day. It is a bit pricey compared to other brands but worth it.

I like LORAC products in general. This liquid felt pen style eyeliner just did not work for me. It was like applying a very wet felt tip marker that leaks. Not a good look. The liner stays runny and dries like I applied watercolor paint. I much prefer cream eyeliners such as Clinique or Avon's liquid eye liners which are much easier to work with.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Normal, Fair Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
It's the only product i can use that i can get BETWEEN my lashes! It stays all day with NO smudging. The fine tip really makes a difference!! Great staying power, only comes off with really hard rubbing, other than that, it stays in place. I've recommened it to friends and they say the same as well.
