Most of these polishes are actually quite good but you have to be willing to accept the fact that when you do get a bad one it's really quite terrible. The blues, purples, reds and glitters tend to be the best of the lots. The color its self is always amazing however you must, must, MUST wear these with either a base coat or top coat (preferably both) since they have a tendency to peel an chip like crazy. Another major strike against these is that they can take forever to dry which can be annoying for me since it means I can no longer do my nails in the morning before I go to work. Over all though they have a great and unique color selections that come in rather cute packaging and for the price, as long as you remember your top coat, how can you go wrong?

I pretty much just stick to red colors. I love the Blood Red color. I started using it when Vampire Cosmetics stopped selling online. The color is very similar to Bloodlines. You will need a base and top coat for this polish. Or you will leave red marks on paper.

These polishes are kinda hit & miss. They have some of the best colors, but the formulas vary from color to color & most of them take ages to dry. I have 3 colors currently, and all 3 perform differently. I have a jelly black with glitter, a jelly blue with glitter, and a neon pink.

The black glitter has the best formula, IMO. It's truly superb. It's got a smooth jelly texture that only needs 2 coats for opacity, and the drying time is great. This is one of the only jelly polishes I've ever owned that doesn't stay smudgeable for hours. It's got a very pretty subtle color-shifting glitter that shifts from pink to green. At first glance it appears to be plain black but on closer inspection the glitter fires up. Much to my sadness, I believe this color has been discontinued, so I don't wear it that often :(

The neon pepto-pink has an almost chalky texture, and like most neons, dries semi-matte. This one manages to be both thick & gloppy yet runny at the same time, it goes everywhere when I apply it & takes ages to dry. I rarely ever wear this one.

The blue glitter is the prettiest. It's got such fire & depth, and the glitter shifts from blue to green to yellow to pink to purple, etc. I actually use that one to paint my cell phone with, lol... I get tons of compliments on it cause it's so sparkly & pretty. That color has been DC'ed as well, I believe, so I rarely wear it & pretty much just save it for phone-button-painting.

All that said- the bottles for these polishes are HORRID. They're those tall skinny bottles with the tiny caps & wide openings, and the brushes aren't attached to the caps, they just kind of sit in them. So whenever I open a bottle I have to pry the brush off of the bottle rim & pop it back in the cap just to use it. And the cap is so tiny that it's damn hard to control the brush too. I often find myself "glopping on" these polishes if I'm not careful, just cause of the brushes. They tend to dry out faster too because of the wide opening letting in more air than a traditional bottle. The packaging is definitely the fatal flaw for this line. Still, I'll repurchase, if HT doesn't keep DISCONTINUING every damn color that I like!!!

Although I love the colors these come in the quality is just not great. I don't mind that it needs a few coats, but what I do mind is that it chips off too easily. One day after I painted them you could literally peel off the color. I was not impressed.

I started buying morbid makeups nail polish 6 years ago and I've been rebuying the black one since. I seriously go through a few bottles a year, I absolutely love it. It's the best black nail polish I've found. It's solid and thick, but not goopy and doesn't take terribly long to dry. It also dries nice and shiny. I've also had their neon green nail polish which is insanely bright. It only takes 1-3coats for the black, I always use 2 out of habit, but for the green I'd probably use 3 since it's a little bit thinner. Overall, I love them, I've been rebuying them for years and I will continue to do so in the future.

This is the only cheap black nail polish I like so far. It's creamy, inexpensive, not sheer, and BLACK! I hate when I buy black nail polish and it's so thin it looks grey. Not this one. I bought it at Hot Topic for $2.99 and at first was skeptical. Once I tried it I knew I would repurchase. I only need two coats and it dries to a pretty shiny finish. For more added shine and protection I add a clear top coat. I'm not sure as to how long it lasts because I'm not careful about avoiding activities that will chip the polish. I say just try it, and if you're not happy... well you only spent three dollars!

Two out of the three nail polishes I tried were creamy (the glow in the dark and pink, which is a bright yet soft pink. Very pretty and unique) and one was watery (crimson red). They go on pretty well, dry quickly, and come in cute little bottles.
