3 words: waste of money.
I love some of Jane's eye shadows, blushes, and bronzer so I thought I'd give their brushes a try. I was hugely disappointed. The bristles are too rough and flimsy.

A useless brush...period. I picked this up to go with some of my mineral makeup products that I had bought, and it doesn't do much of anything. The bristles are way too loose to pick up mineral foundation and keep it packed enough in the brush to give you good coverage. Don't be fooled by it's similarity to Bare Escentuals...this is a very flimsy brush compared to the real deal! Also, this thing sheds like crazy. I'm talking like seven or so hairs each time I try to use it. Please--if you find that you love the BE Flawless Face Brush, at least splurge for the real deal.

This is, by far, the worst makeup brush I've ever owned. The size is nice, and it actually applied mineral makeup pretty good. But it was somewhat scratchy on my face. My biggest complaint though? It shedded from day one. and we're not talking maybe one or two hairs. No, more like 10 to 20 *each time*. I tried to make this this work, but having to pull out the magnifying mirror to find all of the little hairs left on my face (that I could feel, but couldn't see), I gave up. The search for a mineral brush continues.

As far as how well it applys...id say not very well. It is pretty scratchy against my face and only did a crappy job of covering the few flaws on my face. Another thing that I didn't really like about this product is that it doesn't fit within the corresponding foundation pallete. I had this same issue with the kabuki brush...but idk. My mom needed new makeup brushes and she just wanted some cheapie ones because she doesn't wear makeup too often. I gave her my brushes and she seems happy enough with them.

This brush felt alright in the store, but using it is seriously painful. It feels like I'm poking my skin with needles when applying my powder. It's bearable, but just barely. I'm buying a different brand powder brush ASAP.

I got mine from Rite Aid with BOGO (only $2.50). It has soft hair (not very) and is a good size to keep in the makeup bag or keep at home. The head is about the size of a quarter with mixed blond and brown hair. So far, no much shadding, much better than BE's flawless application or handy buki brush both in quality and price (as well as packaging).
