This scrub was harsh. It left my face red. This scrub leaves an oily residue that I must use cleanser to remove. This scrub does get rid of any and all dry flakes that I have, though. I prefer Nia24 Physical Cleansing Scrub.

there are much better exfoliators out there for less money (muac, dermologica, oiI of olay warming). I wouldn't buy this for $15.00 let alone 50. The consistency is too liquid, the packaging lame for how expensive it, and the corundum too harsh. I do like the way my skin feels after I wash it off and not just because its exfoliated. I think the entire line leaves your skin feeling wonderful and soft without stripping or any residue, which I appreciate.

LOVE this product! Feels amazing on and really smoothes away dry flakey skin and dirt. My face feels baby soft after using it:) I've only tried it in the jar and haven't seen it in the tube. I guess I made mine last for awhile! Although it isn't cheap, I will purchase it. You get what you pay for and this is your face we are talking about ladies! I received this as gratis to try and think it is amazing enough to purchase. Anyway, you can find it on Ebay for half the price:)

This is a really nice micro-fine scrub. The older reviews seem to be for a different formula, and I didn't ever use the one with the "liquidy" or "milky" consistency. The one I use comes out like a thicker cream, white with beads of jojoba oil that are greenish. I wash my face, then use a dime + amt and scrub for about a minute or two and rinse off. It is very fine and if you have very sensitive skin, I'd start slow because this is a very powerful scrub. The cooling feeling begins as you wash it off! I think this feels really good. Some reviewers have mentioned a film on the skin afterward, this must be the jojoba oil and I do get this sensation too, but I don't wash it off, I leave it because it's good stuff and my skin isn't oily anyway, and if it was, I'd probably leave it on anyway because to strip the skin entirely of all oils can make it produce more oil to compensate. So, in short, I leave it on, towel dry and either go right for my La Mer or use a toner and then moisturize. I love how my skin feels, baby soft and looks great. This is my 2x a week scrub, I have no need for another!

I have to restrain myself from using this product everyday! This is the best scrub I've ever used and I like the cool tingle I feel when I use it. This is the only product I've found that exfoliates well enough to remove any sign of peeling from Retin-A, peel serums, etc. without irritating my skin when it's at it's most sensitive. They're not lying when they call it prep and polish, that's exactly what it does - it leaves my face incredibly smooth. It could just be wishful thinking, but afterwards it does seem like my moisturizer penetrates better. Highly recommended.

Ok so...y'all are gonna kill me. I purchased this product for $6.50, 90% off along with 2 iceslicks plumpers at the huge B&BW sale this summer. I don't think they are carrying the Freeze line anymore so I really lucked out. I thought, why not, let's give this a try.

And I LOVE it. I was using Origins Modern Friction as a 2x weekly exfoliator, and I kind of like the IceCrystals better. The "crystals" are very small, the scrub is minty (which I love), and it leaves your skin feeling SOOO soft. I might even repurchase at full price ($65) if I have to. That's how darn much I love this product.

I can't use it too much though. I only use it now maybe 1x week because when I have active breakouts it makes my skin sensitive and worse. That is by no fault of the IceCrystals though, as anyone knows any sort of micro-derm when you are broken out is a bad idea.

So I love it. Great product that exfoliates and reveals fresh, new skin. 5 Stars!

WOW. Just WOW! I got this at Marshalls for $29 (together with the Freeze Instant Targeted Wrinkle Treatment) so the price was not horrible as the retail price, but still expensive for the small amount you get... Scrub is awesome. Does not feel very gritty to my fingers but felt it working on my face. Cooling sensation during and after scrub, feels very nice. Face felt felt very soft after scrub. Love this. If I find a good deal again I would re-purchase. Just not at full price.

I have yet to ever be so impressed with any product in my life with immediate results. But this scrub is a miracle in a tube cream texture with millions of tiny grains(which is all you can feel on your skin). In is for resurfacing and microdermobracian capablities along with antiaging (read reviews). Your skin litreally feels like SILK(just massaging it in for a minute I feel like it gets rid of layers and layers of dead skin/blemish marks/clogged pores) and glows like getting a thousand dollar professional facial/peel treatment. I now udnerstand why this costs $65 for the 2 oz tube it comes in. A MUST TRY!

Honestly, it seems like a good scrub but no way jose I pay $65 for this. Agree with the posters just below me that it is a cream paste and not very liquid so perhaps they did reformulate. I bought mine half-price at Saks when they got rid of the Freeze line. so it was $32 at and that price I would buy again, but not at full price. No worries, it can be found on ebay for about that price! : ).

Fine granules in a soft paste and they grains feel identical to Dr. Brandts, but it is slightly wetter than Dr. Brandt's microdermabrasion scrub, and has a soft cucumber scent instead of the strong lemon scent of Dr. B's, and the base is somewhats moisturizing and leaves the skin feeling cool, but i'm not crazy about the film it leaves behind. The grains are not very comfortable but they are not terribly uncomfortable either, and very effective. Even though it's $65 for a tube, It's cheaper than Dr. Brandt's. 2.5 oz for $65, Dr. B. is 1.7 oz for $75. For price comparison, 2.5 oz of Dr. B's would be $110.

Anyway, very good manual scrub but i'd prefer something I would enjoy to use, so I will stick with Prescriptives conditioning scrub and G.M. Collins Phytoramic (or whatever) Grommage, both of which i find way more pleasant to use.

**update, 3/20/09: I started using this on top of my oil cleanser and my face ends up super super baby smooth. I follow with my Purity Made Simple cleanser to get rid of the moisturizer it leaves behind.

I am truly shocked to see so many negative comments about this exfoliator. I gotta say that I've tried a gazillion of them out there and none of them come even close to matching the performance of this one. I love it and will buy it any which way I can. It's granules are fine and not at all scratchy on my skin. I usually work it gently onto my face for about a minute to a minute and a half. It's performance is unmatched in my opinion. It does leave behind a wonderfully moisturizing layer after you rinse it off and on my face I just give it a minute to let my skin drink it up before moving on to the next step. I have honestly tried scrubs and exfoliators that have literally left my face feeling like vaseline had been caked on it. This exfoliator does NOT do that. And I have to disagree with the one reviewer who said that Biore's Pore Minimizing scrub does the exact same thing. It absolutely does NOT. I have that very scrub in my bathroom and I never use it because it never performed as well as Icecrystals. I rarely say this about any product I use (cuz I am so fickle) but Icecrystals IS my HG exfoliator. I never want to be without it.

I have tried several microdermabrasion scrubs, and this is the only one with results that last more than a day. My skin still feels exceptionally smooth the next day and the day after - something I've never found in any kind of mask or scrub. (I have also tried Dr. Brandt's Micordermabrasion scrub, which had OK but temporary results, and Philosophy's, which was greasy, smelled terrible, and may have been discontinued).

It is terribly overpriced, of course, but just buy it cheap on eBay! Also, it is not at all watery - it's a thick cream/paste. It may have been reformulated since earlier reviews, perhaps when they dropped the "prep" from the name? I have never noticed any kind of residue, oily or otherwise, after using it - and I have oily/acne-prone skin.

I got this as a gratis and I'm using it. I always try so many exfoliants, always looking for something that has enough granules and oomph to it to really slough away dead skin cells and give my skin a smooth feeling. This product delivers that result in spades. My only complaint is the price, it's definitely not something I would shell out my own money for!

I bought this at a clearance sale from Victoria's Secret. Even though I like it, I would not buy it at full price. The directions didn't say to shake before use, so I was surprised at how watery it was, but then I realized on the grainy "crystals" sunk to the bottom, so I had to dig my finger in to pick up some of the crystals. As other reviewers have said, it did leave a slightly oily residue behind, but I have combination skin and I didn't think it was that oily. It felt smooth. The thing I loved most was the cooling effect. My face felt smooth and cool for a long time after. I use it at night, so I put on my night cream afterwards and my skin looked great in the morning. But I only gave it 3 lippies and said I wouldn't buy it again because of the full price and the inside packaging -- I almost spilled the watery cream because I was expecting it to be a heavier cream. (The outside packaging is great -- the jar is pretty.)

This scrub is the best I have ever used, now I am a fan of a no frills scrub and have been using Clinique 7 day scrub forever. I wanted to try something else,I have combination skin with some breakouts sometimes and this stuff really polishes the skin, it is so soft after I can't believe it! It's my HG scrub from now on! It's expensive but it's worth it! I wouldn't recommend it if you have very oily acne prone skin or super sensitive for there is peppermint in it.

This is a very fine grain exfoliant with a mild cooling sensation to it. As an exfoliant it works fine. The problem I have with it is that it leaves an oily residue behing. I prefer using Derma-e microdermabrasion or MUAC micordermabrasion creams to this one.

I wish the last three reviews had been added before I decided on this purchase. I bought it based on the near-perfect score it had at the time, and definitely regret . I completely agree with the reviewer who wrote about how this is too scratchy and leaves a horrible oily film after you wash it off. I don't have sensitive skin so there were no problems with irritation, but I hated having to wash my face with a harsh cleanser afterward to remove the icky residue. This may be good for dry, non-sensitive, non-breakout-prone skin, but for me it isn't a good choice.

Got this as a sample and it IS a great exfoliator, but the price tag is ridiculous. Biore Pore Minimizing Microderm Exfoliator has the EXACT SAME consistency and delivers equivalent results for $13.

To aggressive for my combo/sensitiv acne prone skin.
After you wash it from your face, you get a really OILY skin (leaves oily residue)
Very liquid (almost watery texture) with green jojoba beads, but too many "crystals" too scratchy, i can almost see my flesh if i rub hard..
If you have sensitiv skin stay away from this otherwise you will have no skin after using this..skin will take long to recover from this harsh treatment.

I think this, out of all the Freeze 24/7 products, is completely average and my least favorite of the line. It's just a fine grain scrub with an added cooling effect, which is nice. I've been using Youthful Essence as my exfoliator and I love it. As with all Freeze 24/7 products, this is outrageously expensive, but has really luxe packaging. Won't be repurchasing this one though.
