I have been wanting a neutral pink lipstick for awhile but, have held off because I never found one that flattered my olive skin tone. I just picked up this BE lipstick and I have to say, I was impressed by the color, texture and how flattering it was to my complexion/brunette hair coloring. I look forward to wearing this everyday. What a great find!

I like this for a natural looking pinkish lip. I don't have any color change with this shade, but I heard they reformulated it only about 2 years ago. It is very dense and takes several swipes to lay on. It is a true neutral pink shade on me. Just enough pink to look like I have lipstick on but dingy enough to blend in. It looks alot like BE's Gelato only without any shimmer. It's not obvious I have lipstick on with this shade but more definition than gloss. It lasts longer than some BE but that could be due to variance of the formulation of different shades or perhaps when it was made. It works with any color I have on. Keeps my lips feeling hydrated all day, too. No need for lip liner with this one, at least for me. I'd buy again when out.

I've changed my haircolor again so I thought I'd give this lippie another try. Well, while I like the way this lippie conditions, I agree with other reviews:
looks so much prettier in the tube than on my lips
too warm for me - it's more orangish-brown than pink - not neutral, IMO
washes me out
makes my lips look VERY wrinkled
when applied, it looks very dry & dull like it's too old & just needs to be tossed
I love the feel of the tube, so I take this out occasionally to see if I'll change my mind out about it, and I don't. At least my lips feel super soft & smooth after wiping it off.

It is rare that I use a whole tube of lipstick because I usually get bored with the color or something about it just doesn't work out. But, I've almost used up all of this one. I've had it for a while now (one year?) and I still use it most days of the week. I sometimes use other lipstick brands/shades, but most of the time I have this on. It's a great neutral color for me (brown hair, medium to tanned skin) and it moisturizes well. I gave it 4 lippies because I wish it would stay on longer. That's my only complaint.

I love this lipstick. I generally don't wear lipstick because I usually cannot find a shade that looks good with my extremely pale skin. I picked this up at Sephora and I love it. Finally, a great shade for my coloring. It can be a tad bit drying, but it is not a major problem. The color stays well for me and I have not had any of the discoloration any of the other reviewers have talked about. I've already purchased another one in the same color (parfait).

I had not tried BE lipstick before, so this was a first. Can't say I was terribly impressed. I did like the tube...black with a finish sort of like NARS...In the tube, the lipstick did look like a neutral/cool pinkish mauve color (no bubblegum)...In Sephora, it looked nice under the lights, but in natural light, it looks dry and accentuates the lines in my lips. I agree with other posters that it does change color...mine went to more of a warm orangy terracotta....and I'm not a happy camper. It feels dry and almost like it's sucking the moisture out of my lips. It might work with a gloss over it, (I also bought BM gloss in Wild Honey), but I almost never wear both together...you shouldn't have to. I'll give it another try or two, but this one may go back.

First BE product I've been disappointed in. The color looks a LOT better in the tube than on my lips. It is pretty lifeless. I would prefer a more pinky tone but I notice a brown kind of color and it washes me out.

I would definitely buy this again. Very nice pinky-mauvey-nude. Does not turn orange on me. Lasts a long time. No frost. My absolute favorite everyday l/s. I like it more than Nars DV.

WOW! I am stunned by the poor reviews! This is my HG nude lip colour! My lips are quite pigmented so hardly any light colour covers them well, but this is perfect! It's a a pale/nude pink with a creamy consistency. It's a matte finish and stays on all day....it's perfect, you have to try it!

This lipstick felt conditioning and soothing on my lips. The color was just beautiful for about the first 20 minutes. I could not believe the change when I checked in the mirror before an appointment. It had turned the dreaded reddish orange. I purchased Bobbi Brown's "Blondie" today and it has been true to its color. This may be the one I have been searching for.

I agree with most of the reviewers on the shade. It looked great in the store, but went orangy/washed out and unnatural at home. It was dead matte and had no life to it. I have Bellini and it is much nicer-seems moister, more sheen/not lifeless and had a nice apricot hue to it that I thought this would impart and did not. The best way to describe this is that it is just there-matte and dull. Disappointing. Am taking it back. Glad I saved the reciept.

When I tried this lipstick on in the store, it was gorgeous... I wanted a very soft and nude (but pinky) lip without having to resort to gloss since I prefer a matte finish to my lips. It seemed to be the exact shade I was looking for. It was very close to my natural lip color. It did feel very smooth on my lips, slightly moisturizing, but not sticky. I also was turned on from the fact that it is a lipstick without gross chemicals in the formula.
I would have loved this lipstick if the color didn't look the way it did once I reapplied in natural light. In natural light, the color was a hideous shade of mauvy-orangey-brown... like a mix of terracotta and old potpourri. It drained my face completely and made my blush look funky. I am hoping they will develop more colors. I was hoping for something like Baby, Innocence, or Yumi. Love the concept but the color selection for someone who wants a soft lipstick isn't that great. I guess I'll have to wait.

Wow....I couldn't have said it better myself than the previous reviewer. She took the words out of my mouth.
I LOVE BE and I was *very* excited about these debuting. But unfortunately almost every color is too warm for me! Where are the cooler shades, BE? Even the Plum Brulee which I would have loved with a pinker shimmer....has a golden shimmer throughout and warms up too much on me. Boo hoo hoo!

I wanted to love this lipstick SO much.. I ordered it from Sephora.com without ever seeing it in person, assuming that I couldn't go wrong with what was described as "neutral pink". I was wrong! Parfait is a very warm brown-peach-pink, not at all neutral. It didn't look so bad when I swiped it on in front of my bathroom mirror... but when I caught a glimpse of myself in natural light I was horrified. My lips were a decidedly UNnatural shade of terra cotta, which does not go well at all with my super-pale complexion and naturally rosey cheeks! It does not appear on my lips the same as it looks in the tube at all..
Another problem I have with this lipstick is that it's rather drying. Not a great deal more drying that the average lipstick, but this formula is specifically described by Bare Escentuals and Sephora as NON-drying. Very disappointing.
All is not lost, however... The lipstick is very pigmented and goes on smoothly and evenly. The packaging is very nice and tastefully designed. It has no fragrance, which is a big plus for me and my sensitive nose. And of course I'm a huge fan of the 'all-natural' aspect. I WILL be trying another shade in hopes of finding one suitable for my coloring. But for the same price I could have another Aveda lipstick and no dry lips! ;)
