I've been using this shampoo for a while and it's great. I have an oily/itchy scalp and dry, damaged ends. It doesn't make my scalp greasier, it tends to calm it down (not an agressive shampoo). My ends stay smooth and soft.
The perfume is nice and not too heavy.
It is an expensive product, but it does what it promisses so i'm getting it again.

I suffer from a really dry scalp, so I have to buy a very moisturizing shampoo. I used drug store brands e.g. pantene, H&S, you name it i probably used it. I find that drug store shampoo are not moisturizing enough for my dry scalp so I decided to try more expensive shampoo. I tried PHYTO from Sephora, didn't do much for my hair and the packaging really sucked. So finally i decided to try Rene Ferterer Carthame Milk MOisturizing shampoo for very dry hair/scalp. It really did help with the itching and flaking, but for $30 for a small bottle, i'm not sure if it's worth it. It doesn't really lather much, so you have to apply, massage, rinse, and then repeat a second time. I will buy this product again, only because I don't know of a better shampoo that will help with my extremely dry scalp, especially during the winter season.

I'm not really a huge fan of this product. I didn't find that it did anything that was out-of-the ordinary wonderful for my hair, or that it was exceptionally moisturizing. I bought a tube of this on clearance for $8 CAD, and will use it up, but would not repurchase.

Yes, this shampoo has sulfates. But guess what? It is way more moisturizing and gentle than many of the sulfate-free shampoos out there. When I use this, my hair does not feel stripped or dry. Follow with the matching conditioner, and my hair is truly moisturized, not coated. Expensive but only a small amount is needed. For reference, my hair is above shoulders, 2b wavy and color treated.

I do not liked it. It has done nothing for my dry curly hair. Nothing bad or good. My hair just didn`t change at all. But it seems to work for some people, so give it a try like I did. It could be yours HG shampoo, it is just not mine.

This is probably the best shampoo for dry hair and scalp. I received a sample from Sephora over the weekend and I will definitely purpose a bottle sometime this week. I have shoulder length relaxed hair and this shampoo is gentle on my hair and scalp. It effectively removes flakiness and product buildup. Combined with Ojon Tawaka Conditioner, my hair is smooth, soft, shiny and frizz free! I like how this shampoo is somewhat creamy. In my experience, watery/liquidy shampoos don't work for my hair as it makes it feel brittle or rough EVEN before I rinse them out. I was considering trying the Karit Shampoo for Very Dry Hair but it looks watery. Perhaps I'll ask for a sample from Sephora and try it just for comparison purposes. UPDATE: May 1, 2010; I've stopped using this product approximately a year ago as I found an even better shampoo. It's a private label called LouiseMarie LongHairs. Love it! For the life of me, I can't recall the exact reason why I stopped using this shampoo. But in any event, I'm extremely pleased with what I've been using for the past year.

I alternate b/t this and RF's Forticea shampoo. RF's products in the Carthame line are the only ones that restore life to my other-wise thin, full head of dry curly hair. My stylist can't get over the outstanding health of my hair. He can pull his fingers through without any snags or pieces of hair falling to the floor. RF products are on the high price end, but they save money in the long run -- I've had fewer salon hair trims (b/c of fewer split ends). The satisfaction is outstanding as I have enjoyed greater hair growth and length (b/c of healthier hair) -- I really believe RF products are the reason. All the best in your hair successes... give RF a try... you'll be amazed!

Moisturizing milky shampoo for dry hair and scalp (not for seriously dry hair, there is a Karite line for very dry hair which is more nourishing, Carthame line is more moisturizing). Rich in carthame and nut oils, essential fatty acids, vitamin B5 and a specific moisturizing complex. It is very mild and gentle, I really like it. One of the best rehydrating shampoos. I will rebuy.
