I may have finally found the matte gray shadow I've been looking for. The lightest shade in the quad is a little shimmery but the rest are matte. After 5-6 hours on with primer it still looks OK. For $2.99 with coupon it's a great deal.

First, I will say to be fair that for the price (dirt cheap and often on sale to the point of being practically free) you probably can't do better. The darker shades are actually pigmented and if worn with a base, the colours do last. Though why are you scrimping on the shadow if you have an expensive base to wear? So my fairness doesn't really hold up. Because these do NOT work without a good base, like MAC Paints. The lighter colours don't show at all, and they all fade/crease. Even with a base, all the shimmer falls off all day into my eyes (ouch!) and leaves a glittery snowfall all over my cheeks. Plus, the new triangle-shaped pans are hard to use with a proper brush. Nope.

Firstly im not a big fan of eyeshadows, since they dont really suit my eyes so I only like putting on sheer eyeshadows.
-I bought this for $3 at a sale so I decided to try it out, all the colours are very sheer, so i dont recommend people buying this if you dont like sheer eyeshadow.
-The black is probably the only colour that shows up well (its the only eyeshadow I use anyways)
-The greys shows up a tiny bit
-And the lightest one only shows up as sparkles, so it would be nice using this over another product to give it a sparkly look (but I sometimes use it over my white eyeliner in the inner corners)
The eyeshadows do CREASE on me sadly.. I do have extremely oily eyelids, but since the eyeshadows are sheer, you cant notice the creasing , and my eyelids are small so you cant see anything (:
I wouldnt buy this product, since I am trying to find other eyeshadows to use aswell, but since it doesnt work for my oily eyelids I wouldnt buy them again.

OH GOD! I bought this in a whim searching for a smoky shadow. What a mistake! The colors are terrible and very very sheer. This makes my face look like dirt too. Save your money. Never going to buy Rimmel shadows again.
Now I just use the black color to set my kohl.

Absolute dirt. Not pigmented, and color doesnt doesnt even stay after UD primer potion. The black sits as a gray, and the grays dont show up.

It's not bad, it's not that great either. I like it for a quick gray/black smoky look. It's quite pigmented but it's not creamy enough so it's difficult to blend, it also means some shimmer fallout. The packaging is good because it survived a few falls on the washroom floor. For the price, it's ok; I got it for probably less than 5CAD.

I have the old one of this with the quad and i have to say the only thing thats decent about this product is the packaging. Its not hard to open or close the lid; in fact its quite smooth. The best of that four would be the black colour i guess. None of the colours are pigmented. I can barely see the colour and you really have to keep building the colour, but even then the pigmentation sucks. The highlight colour is the worst save your money on a maybelline quad or something else buddy.
Price:$2.99 CAD on sale at shoppers drug mart (no wonder it was on sale and there werent testers)

NEW FORMULA! AWESOME! Now i have the old quad and I have to say i like this palette i cant say love but for $2-3 i can say its worth it. But Rimmel has put out a new quad and formula and im telling u the new quads/trios are Amazing! The new shadows are butter soft, pigmented, blend so nice and colors are awesome! But 4 the old quad theyre a little dry-hard to blend. The black is a soft black. Sometimes u need a soft black and its my go to shade. I have tried every shade. Together u may not like it but individually for any look, great. A cream base helps a bit and i always use an eye primer (i have great cheap primers that WORK) and i find they last well. But a fav you tuber tutorials i watch she used rimmel quads a bit and spraying a mixing med. Or a setting spray (i make my own with glycerin, spring water, and a teeny bit of a toner and im tellin u 'foiling' these shadows help so much. Im glad i learned that trick bc they look great. If u havent seen the new formula the quads n trios are new and improved, u will be impressed. One of the best from the drugstores. Im not kidding. I got 4 already and want the rest. At least go look. Theyre SO MUCH better. Thank goodness, the drugstore makeup game is incredible any more. Whew hoo!

Very compact and simple with its four colors. I'm not big on eye shadows, so I don't know if I'll purchase it again for that reason, but I liked it just fine.

Ah, Rimmel, you disappoint me so. I bought this to have a quick and easy set of smokey colors on hand. I should have known better. I only use the dove grey color and the black color, the rest refuse to show up on my lids. The light color doesnt even make a good highlighter and the silvery color crumbled in the pan. When it comes to Rimmel shades I think I'll just keep my distance next time. I sometimes use the black on as a wet shade but it blinks off fairly quick. Overall, not impressed. I got what I paid for.

Personally, I really like this eyeshadow. I bought a replacement for my old one (stepped on it) today at Walmart for $2.97! I think that is an absolutely great price for such a nice product. The black and matte grey are very pigmented. The other two I can't say the same for but seeing as I use this mainly to set my eyeliner and don't use them I am more than pleased with this quad. I've been using this daily for the past few months and I haven't had anything bad to say except for the fact that the packaging is difficult to open. Worth it!

This quad isn't bad. The colors show up decently, unlike the purple quad which I bought at the same time and will be returning (didn't show up AT ALL). I do have to layer the color on quite a bit but it's not that bad. I'll probably keep this quad but wouldn't buy it again as I can probably find something else that shows up just a tad better.

I bought this product because I thought it would make for a really nice smoky eye since it had all the colors needed. Well the colors had no stay power at ALL and I honestly think I wasted my money. I tried to use it at least 3 times to really give it a chance but it never really worked. All in all it went in the trash and I never plan on purchasing any of those quads ever AGAIN!!!

I got this quad on sale for 4.99 at the store i work at. I usually get a 30% discount on items, so i like to snatch things up when they are on sale for even cheaper. I liked the way the colours wre layed out, and after wearing little to no makeup for a while, i wanted to try something more dramatic.
I have to say that i dont mind this product. i dont hate it, but i dont love it. On the up side, all four colours are complimentary to one another and work well together in creating a smokey eye look, but i wish the colours were more pigmented. There is little to no staying power and therefore hard to apply as the powder just gets everywhere except your eyelid. After only an hour or two of wearing it I have the worst raccoon eyes and the smokey effect is gone :(
I usually put on either foundation or concealer on my eyelid before i apply shadows, but this didnt seem to help. Im going to give it one last try using the urban decay potion, so heres hoping!
Otherwise, I wont be buying this product again

These grey colors are very cool toned. By themselves, these eyeshadows crease but under a good base, they last just fine. This quad makes for a nice smokey eye.
