As other users said, the cleaning effect is not obvious. So i use it every two days to intensify the cleansing effect. It's mild enough and it won't dry out my skin. But it consumed quickly so I don't think I'll but it again.

Nice texture and smell but did nothing for my skin. I bought this on a whim and decided it would work (this is when i had oily skin, now its more combination.) It is nice to put on and soothes my skin, but takes an age to dry, and when it does, it kind of flakes off. Helped with oil reduction a slight bit when I was a bit younger, but using it now is pointless as it doesn't hydrate, and the pink clay is at the bottom of the ingredients list so doesn't clarify that much either. And at $58, i could find a much better mask for half the price.

This mask really calms and soothes my skin. My skin feels nourished and soft afterwards. It mattifies my oily skin without drying out. You do not need to use much, just a thin layer. I keep it for about 7 minutes, and use twice a week. I also think it is helping to ward off the pimples (though I need to use it longer to substantiate this claim). Oh, and I love the smell!

I LOVE this mask. It's a cream that does not dry the skin out whatsoever, in fact, it feels more like a moisturising mask. I use it once a week most of the time, and twice a week when my hormones are going crazy during that time in month. The directions say to leave it on for about 5 minutes, but I leave it on as long as I can, usually about two hours while watching a movie. I apply about about a walnut size amount and once my whole face (minus eye area) is covered, I apply some extra on my T-zone. Just before removing it, you can see that a lot of the mask has been absorbed into your skin as the remaining layer is thinner and more translucent. All you need to do is rinse with lukewarm water, you can tell by touching your skin if all the mask is gone - I have never had a problem removing this. My skin looks radiant afterwards! You might still see some redness right after removing the mask but this is completely (or nearly completely) gone by the morning. After using this for one week (twice to begin with), I had no breakouts whatsoever. My skin is combination with somewhat shiny T-zone and I can have dry cheeks; I believe this is suitable for dry skin and also oily skin as in my case, it stopped breakouts. I will definitely repurchase this as it is worth every penny.

This is one of the few clay masks I have ever tried which doesn't dry completely hard although I agree with an earlier reviewer that is is best removed with a damp flannel to make sure it's all off.
I have really dry skin in winter, dry/combo in summer, but like to use this mask whenever my skin feel like it needs a really deep clean. I does the job without drying out my skin and leaves it looking brighter and clearer with less visible pores.
Like all Clarins products it smells gorgeous and a tube lasts quite a while as I find I don't need more than a fairly thin layer.
I don't think it's a mask for oily/problem skin but great for other types that need a thorough clean. For a home facial I follow with an oil (usually Clarins Blue Orchid) massage and then use a leave-in moisturising mask. Next morning - skin like butter!

I am not sure what this is supposed to do. I don't know whether I am supposed to put this on clean, dry skin or on wet skin. I really don't know.
When I place it on clean, dry skin, my skin feels strangely warm. It almost feels suffocating. So I tend to use it on wet skin, leave it on for 5 - 10 minutes, then rinse.
The effect? Nothing.
I'm not repurchasing.
Update: So I figured out how to use it. I apply it to towel dried clean skin after exfoliating. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes, then rinse. My skin feels soft and smooth. The mask is also very calming. I'm on my second tube :-).

This mask is great. It leaves my skin with a really healthy glow and soft, Even though it has clay in it it's not drying at all. I would recommend it to all skin types.
It might be a little expensive but it's so worth it. It leaves the skin refresh, and feeling amazing. And a major plus is that helps out a lot with blemishes.

I think that this mask is worth every cent!

It claims: 'This mask comforts and purifies, refines the skin's texture and leaves it matte and ultra soft. Non-drying, it rinses off easily and is suitable for even the most delicate skin'

First thing about this mask, it is the price, which is 20 pounds. 20 pounds for a clay based mask? For 20 pounds I have expected it to be more effective. It does not clean pores, I do not experience this feeling of purified skin which I normally feel after using a purifying mask. Three good things about it - it is really non-drying, the smell is ok ( but I must admit I generally like the smell of Clarins products, I know many people find their fragrances a bit too much) and it leaves your skin soft and moisturised. The problem is that you do not really buy a cleansing, oil controlling mask to moisturise your skin.

High quality mask--gentle but effective. Leaves the skin soft and pure.
It is pricey, but worth it.
My skin is somewhat sensitive, combination with a tendency to get congestion and occasional breakout around TOTM.
This mask is one of the few that I find to be actually soothing.
Queen Helene, which many tout as being so great did absolutely nothing for my pores and dried out my skin. Borghese made my skin feel a little sensitive and was very messy--I invariably ruined a wash cloth with it trying to get it off my face. The green clay mask from Clarins didn't have the purifying properties of this one with pink clay. This mask is particularly great because it doesn't dry out on your skin, but can be simply rinsed off with water......no mess and no flaking.
t fragrance that is skin calming and clearing.
I have had some mixed reviews about skincare with more "botanical ingredients" such as Clarins because sometimes my skin doesn't react favorably to them but this one is so gentle and the scent is very soft and lovely--non irritating to me.
this is a more expensive product but a worthwhile purchase if you have combo/sensitive skin and are looking to give it a beauty boost. Very nice and calming --who doesn't need to feel more relaxed? =)

This did not work for me. After applying the mask my skin did feel better and calmer. However, I could not get it off completely, it left a residue on my skin and I had to wash it off, which is kind of besides the point of a clarifying mask. Sorry, heard good things thats why I tried it. but I would not recommend this at all.

I am fast becoming a real fan of Clarins skin care products, as expensive as they are! I was recommended this by a sales assistant who sang its praises. I don't have acne prone skin, infact it tends to be quite dry with the odd monthly break out. It was around this time that I bought this mask.

Naturally I was concerned that this would be too drying on my skin, having attacked my skin with another Clay mask by another brand that both stank and left my skin feeling tight and harrassed (If that is possible! It certainly didn't feel pampered or cared for!). This product smells lovely - but not in a chemical way - and I think it would still be suitable for people with sensitive skin.

It does not dry out on your skin. You could leave it on while you were having aTV night at home and it probably would still rinse of easily enough after. I applied it as recommended the first time I got the product and then applied a little more to the problem area - on my chin. My skin was back to its clear self within a couple of days.

I keep this as part of my skincare routine - maybe once a week and a bit more often when I need it. It is so gentle and yet it still can clear up any impurities without feeling like you have just taken paint stripper to your face.

Very expensive but also very effective and it doesn't take an awful lot to achieve the desired effects.

I've been using this mask for about a month now and I have to say that I really like it. I was looking for something purifying but not drying so I bought this on impulse as despite being a clay mask it seems to be marketed more at combination skin, like mine, rather than really oily/ acne prone skin. The smell is gorgeous but not overpowering, like a fresh floral scent and the mask itself is a lovely pale pink colour with a really creamy consistency. It doesn't dry on the skin which means that it's easy to wash off and doesn't leave your skin feeling like it's been sapped dry. It leaves my skin matte but clear and glowing at the same time and I notice that there are less blackheads and slightly tighter pores. I really enjoy using this and would definitely buy it again, probably when Clarins do those wonderful GWP promotions.

Ohh this is the perfect mask to use if you have a big day ahead. I apply this and sleep with it. I wet a washcloth with cold water and wipe it off. My face GLOWSSS. be sure to cleanse your face properly before though, to make sure that the mask has enough surface to draw out toxins from.

I just tried a sample of this stuff right after I got out of the shower. Oh my lord! My clogged pores were all clear, but of course I still used my black head remover tool to get anything it missed.
From what I saw, this stuff works great and smells lovely, too.

But because of the regular retail price, I'm not sure I'll be purchasing this stuff.

This product works miracles! Put it on a pimple at night... it is drastically reduced in the morning. I've never used it as a mask but it really does work on those painful "underground" pimples.

Hi, I actually have the mask on right now, I am using third tube of this product (I think it says it all). I absolutely love this mask, it's perfect for my combination skin, it has got a lovely smell, I highly recommend this face mask to all skin types. I've tried other brands, such as Clinique and Lancome, but Clarins has the best products.
