These are the BEST!! If you like playing with colours, I think you will like these. You need to know how to use loose shadows, though. Also, I detest the packaging, tis very easy to spill or tip over. I've used loose eyeshadows by Marcelle, Bella Pierre, and Annabelle- those are good, but Fyr offers the prettiest array of interesting colours! unlike the others, it's an indie brand, and i am glad to support it.

Every single day since receiving my order, I've been using these, and every single day i get compliments. They also work well with other brand e/s. Even if it's a cheapskate brand. Today it was just Tyr patted/swept on, with a bit of the lid shade from WnW Walking on Eggshells on inner lid. Even DH loved it. Zero effort required. In fact, when i had just Mephisto on, it looked like i'd painstakingly blended like 3 different shadows on. (effect didn't last long, but that's a different review).
The other day i got loads of compliments on my eyes (not makeup) from several strangers thruought the day-with Sorceress wet as eyeliner and blended, dry, in crease, and Shenanigans on lid. Somehow my normally dark brown eyes looked like a beautiful golden hazel with that combo. Soooo lovely.

These eyeshadows have so much depth and beauty. However, they don't look garish. I love them.

These are the BEST eyeshadows in the world!! They aren't the easiest to apply, not easy to blend, but they are still the best in the whole world. You will NEVER find any colours even similar to these, at least I never have. I've ordered from them several times. Perhaps it takes a little longer to learn how to use them, you can't just swipe them on with a brush and go. But once you get the hang of it it doesn't have to take any longer than applying a pressed powder shadow. I do my eye makeup in 5 minutes now. And it is so worth it because you will NEVER find any colours so deep and complex as these.
I think the trick is in the application. Before applying eye makeup I apply a veeery thin layer of VASELINE as an eyeshadow base/glue. I've never tried their Pixie Epoxy and I don't have it, so I can't compare, but Vaseline as a base is the WORKS! After that I gently PAT on the eyeshadows of choice with a little sponge applicator. This shadow is admittedly a bit difficult to blend, and I wouldn't recommend it when you are going for a really blended out look. Blending also takes away all the gorgeous multicoloured glitter and sparkle which is what makes these shadows unique and pop. So blend only on the edges or where 2 shadows meet.
If you do this you should have only minimal fall-out and the shadow will be vibrant and last all day. You can also apply over the bathroom sink, so you can just rinse away any powder that falls. I actually like to apply sitting at a table, I put a mirror on the table and look downwards into the mirror. Or sometimes I'll stand the mirror up but tilt it, so I still look mostly downwards.
These shadows, I find, don't work at all if you brush them on dry. Dry they just all fall off and disappear. You really must use that Vaseline/Pixie Epoxy or other sticky base and pat it on. Or foil it with water. Since I'm in Europe I'm always afraid of shipping charges when I order from the States, but this company has incredible shipping charges, maybe 3€ for a smaller order and free shipping overseas for larger orders.

Fyrinnae is my favorite loose powder eyeshadow ever! Great price, amazing colors, and amazing quality I have bought about 20 samples at $2 each and I love them all and they last a really long time. I plan to order much more their colors are so complex, creative, and unique.

I really adore Fyrinnae, their shadows are complex and multidimensional and so gorgeous i love just looking at my little pots just sparkling there on my table. The lip lustre in lollipop looks hot over lip gloss and their prices and philosophy is very admirable. I tend to prefer their lighter highlight shades as they do work better and the colors are much more interesting and prettier but overall it doesn't have as much pigment power as I would like, if they could fix this it would be [perfect but it tends to look prettier in the pot.
Their darker colors especially do not have much color or sparkle payoff as ..say my LM mineral powder shadows. But overall I get a lot of enjoyment from Fyrinnae

I love love LOVE Fyrinnae eyeshadows! They go on smooth and vibrant (remember to pat them on instead of brushing them on, because it makes a HUGE difference), especially over the Pixie Epoxy, which is my HG of primers. The colors are unique, and while everyone always raves about the super bright colors, my favorites from Fyrinnae are actually the neutrals. Their neutrals are so subtle, so beautiful, I can't emphasize enough how much I love them. I currently have a ton of Fyrinnae colors and have yet to meet one I do not like.
My only complaint is the lack of a sifter. I dropped one of my little jars of eyeshadow and it landed facedown (of course), dumping out ALL of my eyeshadow. I was able to salvage about half, but it was a harsh lesson! Nevertheless, I would always choose Fyrinnae shades over any other brand because of quality and uniqueness of the colors.

I had been wanting to try Fyrinnae eyeshadows for a long time, being a fan of mineral mu in general and having heard such great things about them. I ordered four samples (and also received a complimentary sample) and have used them with mixed results. I do not find any of them to be particularly pigmented. Applying them wet definitely amplifies the color, but not to the level of intensity I expected. Some of the colors are sort of chalky and flat, while others are very, very shimmery. The only two that I can see myself using regularly (and MAYBE repurchasing) are Rapunzel Had Extensions and Kurisumasu! I wanted to like these because the company is cool, and they shipped my order very quickly as well. I'm not swearing off trying other colors, but so far I just can't get into these like some of the other reviewers.

I can't believe the negative reviews! Did they reformulate their eyeshadows or something?
I'm absolutely LOVING these!
The samples come with a lot of product, and they're only $2.00!
I haven't ordered any full sized ones yet, because I'd rather try a ton of different ones and the samples will last me a long time anyway.
So far, I have around 40 of them, and I don't have any that I don't like. They have so many complex and very unique shades.
I use MAC Paints or ArtDeco eyeshadow base underneath these, and they show up really nicely. If you want the glitter or shimmer to really pop, try their Pixie Epoxy! It works wonders :)
The texture of these varies quite a bit depending on the finish of the shadow, but overall I found them to be quite smooth and fairly easy to blend.
I've just placed an order for 20 more samples and can't wait for them to get here :D
The only downside is the time it takes for Fyrinnae to process your order, but at least they always write on their main page how long you should expect it to take, and the two times I've ordered from them, it has always taken less time than what they wrote.

I can't say enough good things about them. I've had the same pots for five (?) years the colours are so vibrant and highly pigmented - able to use them wet or dry.
I bought ten. I'd buy ten more if it didn't take over a month to get to me (London UK). But after five(?) years and I still haven't quite made my way half way through...
It's a learning curve on how to use them. definitely. Well worth it. You do have to use a very good primer - my UD works perfectly with them. this was before they had the fixer and had suggested using a b vitamen cream that sort of worked...
wet they are mind blowing. Dry they are fab. Yes, pat them on with a brush - there is a lot of fall out. I needed to get a fan brush which made my life a lot easier. Blending is very easy. Much easier than cake minerals - I stopped buying UD eyeshadows for quite a while when I found these.
What a great product. You can use them as eye shadows, cream eyeshadows, eyeliner... if you get a mixer - there's plenty out there - there's that option. However I've always just put on primer and mixed them with water.
the rare product that gets full marks from me.

After buying some of Fyrinnae's shadow samples, I'm pretty much in awe. I feel like I didn't know what eyeshadow was before seeing these. It's like a whole new world has opened up to me, and I'll never look at eyeshadow the same again. I know that sounds dramatic, but I'm totally serious. Each of their shadows is a work of art. And please, PLEASE do not judge them by the pictures on their site. You HAVE to see these shadows in person, pictures do them no justice. Every single one I've tried is absolutely spectacular; glittery, complex composition of colors, intense pigment.
It's actually kind of a good thing that I found Fyrinnae so late in the game, because they really are a different animal that need to be applied and treated differently. If I'd tried these back when I was a shadow newb I would've been completely overwhelmed, frustrated, and I'd probably have given up.
Please do foil these. Please do gently PAT them on rather than swiping; swiping will ruin their complexity. Please do try Pixie Epoxy to glue the glitter in place, although there's quite a learning curve on that particular product as well.
I love that their sample sizes are so generous, and cheap to boot.
Every eyeshadow connoisseur should try some Fyrinnae. Afterwards, you may just find yourself looking at your high end shadows and going 'meh.'

I'm really loving my Fyrinnae shadows. They are sold as loose "pigments," although the website specifically says they are not pigments, but something altogether different (they don't actually say WHAT they are, just that they aren't your usual pigments). However, if you've ever worked with loose pigments...that's pretty much what these look like.
That being said, these do behave somewhat differently. In order to get the true desired effect, you really need to pat them on or use them wet. If you simply swipe them on dry the way you do a regular pigment or eye shadow, the color and shimmer/sheen/sparkle is seriously diminished and you will get something completely different than the description on the web site. It will be much sheerer, toned-down, and matte than the intended effect, but most likely will still be beautiful. At least, that has been my experience, since I almost always use the "swiping" method for daytime and I love it and get compliments constantly.
I am currently using Cheeky, Atomic Afterglow, Snow Leopard, Selkie Skin, and Freya. Cheekie is a pinky-champagne color that is perfect for a highlighter or, on my fair skin, an all-over lid color. It has a soft sheen when swiped, a high lustre when patted. Atomic Afterglow is a cool taupe. Again, a low lustre when swiped, high lustre when patted or used wet. The silvery highlights really show up when used wet. Snow Leopard is a gorgeous bronzy-silvery taupe color. Although gorgeous swiped on, this one truly benefits more from being patted or used wet, as it REALLY brings out the beautiful gold and silver highlights that bring this color to life. Similarly, Selkie Skin is a chocolate brown with hints of green highlights that is a beautiful neutral wash when swiped, but truly comes alive when patted or applied wet. Finally, Freya is a color I've only used as a liner thus far...it's the color that Macroviolet Fluidline from MAC was meant to be. While Macroviolet is a beautiful, shimmery eggplant in the pot and dries down dull and matte, Freya just comes alive when wet lined on the lid. Used over a primer, it stays a shimmering, vivid eggplant plum color all day and night and sets off brown eyes beautifully!
So overall, I have to say that at least for the neutrals, Fyrinnae shadows are a big "thumbs up." They are versatile and lovely in all their incarnations. You don't HAVE to use Fyrinnae's specific application methods to get a beautiful result, although if you simply swipe on the colors, you will be missing out on a lot of depth and highlighting, and in many cases even some duochrome effects. That being said, you really can't lose. They are smooth, velvety, and easy to blend (an absolute must for me). Used with primer, they will last for hours and hours without creasing or fading...longer than just about any other eye shadows I've ever used.
Customer service is fantastic, in my opinion. My email was answered quickly and professionally. As for shipping times...there are only 2 people manning this company, and it is getting more popular by the day. They do have long shipping times as a result, but they also post estimated times ALL OVER the website, and their estimates are usually generous (mine was for 21 business days, and my order arrived in 12 CALENDAR days.)
Give them a try! I don't think you will be disappointed, as long as you understand what you are getting and have realistic expectations.

I've tried several of their shadows and every single one of them has been gorgeous.. and so cheap! I have another order on the way.. can't wait for those. I've ordered especially from their taupe/earthtones. I wondered why so many people give them high ratings, and so many really low ratings... it seems the 1 and 2 lippie reviews mostly complain about no color payoff or fallout, or long order time. All over Fyrinnae's site, the creators talk about how you might need to apply their e/s differently.. ie pat it on with your fingers or a brush, not sweep it on. It's neither difficult nor unusually time consuming. I follow their very simple instructions and my eyeshadow looks beautiful... as for fallout, over a little UDPP, after an 8hour shift at work my eyeshadow looks freshly applied. Really, ladies :) As for long wait time, shipping estimates and wait-time warnings are clearly stated all over their site. You have to click past it at least twice.. and usually they overestimate. (my last order said 20 days, it's shipping after 9.) The texture of the shadows I've sampled so far ranges from buttery to velvety to buttery velvet ....so smooth. So far, from their taupes and such, I highly recommend Atomic Afterglow, Snow Leopard, and Koala.. Fire Opal and Kung Pao are great crease/eyeliner colors.. from their Arcane Magic line, Sorceress is a great liner (among other things).. I could go on... oh and did I mention their dorky/nerdy/cool color names? perhaps Fyrinnae should make a new color and name it RTFM for all those having trouble. ;)
Edit to say: those having trouble with fallout or with the colors 'not looking like they should' ought to perhaps try them with a good primer (Urban Decay, TooFaced, or your favorite), and, especially with the really dramatic, sparkly shades, use Fyrinnae's Pixy Epoxy.. it's a miracle worker and pretty darn cheap too.

These are probably the most pigmented eye shadows of any brand that I've ever tried. They last forever long, especially over an eye shadow base, and they're extremely vibrant. The complexity of the colors is amazing.

I have about 40 fyrinnae eyeshadows...I absolutely love this company and their products. The samples are extrememly generous and come in jars rather than annoying little baggies...they have always been very quick (within 24 hours but usually much less) to answer any questions I have...I have placed about 6 orders (or so) with them. Sometimes it takes a little bit of time, sometimes i've had my order in 3-4 days. The eyeshadow colors are amazing. I can't speak for the matte colors as i don't like matte but the shimmer and sparkle colors have a great texture, they go on beautifully and they last forever (with a primer lol)...and the sparkle lasts too...it clearly states on the website that you can't just smear these across your lids, they need to be patted. Once i learned how to do it (easy) i was in love...try these you will like em! My faves? red panda, little reds pet wolf, nijiro, equality...too many more to list

first of all the waiting time for your order is ridiculous, and even after reading their 'explanation' i still dont understand why it takes sooo long. anyway, i ordered six shadows, and out of those i only truly like one (dark magic; red with blue sparkles, just stunning). i am still playing around with the other five, but as of yet i am still having trouble with them. the texture is very dry, tons of fall out, even when i 'pat' them on very, very carefully, and impossible to blend-any kind of blending no matter how gentle makes a huge mess and ruins the sparkle and overall color. same trouble even when i foil them, its insane!! and extremely frustrating!! i have also tried several bases and primers to no avail. however, i will continue to buy the shade 'dark magic' from them, because i cannot find anything else similar to it, and have searched far and wide for a dupe. if you discover the secret base for these shadows, msg me!!

Finally received my order of these lovely eyeshadows, and I like the ones I have worn so far. My advice is that if you have oily skin and eyelids like I do, they are wonderful. I would not recommend them for dry skin. As for any resemblance to MAC pigments, there is none. MAC pigments are much better. However, I will say that these Fyrinnae eyeshadows are closely comparable to some MAC eyeshadows in buildability and wear. IMHO, not all MAC eyeshadows are created equal. MAC however is a bit easier to blend, but I think in this economy the price of Fyrinnae might be worth the extra blending effort. I like these eyeshadows for every day work looks, and they do last until the end of the day. The colors are great and there are a lot of choices. I will admit I do prefer those amazing MAC eyeshadows for a WOW sparkly look in the evening. But if you would like something just as good as most of MAC's eyeshadows and are willing to take a few seconds longer to blend, and you have oily skin/eyelids, go for the Fyrinnae. And save up for those expensive WOW eyeshadows and pigments that are actually worth it.

In general, these eyeshadows have been hit and miss for me. I ordered a whole bunch because the colors are so unique and the price was great. I first became really disappointed with the process of ordering and waiting for over a month to get what I purchased. The experience really wasnt one that felt fun and by the time I got the products I had been so anxious for I was rather more disappointed and frustrated than anything else. The shades themselves....some have been very gorgeous, unique, smooth powders that have impressed me. However, some that I hoped would be similar turned out to be subpar, to say the least. Some have been essentially just colored glitter in a jar. If you are making an order, I will just say make sure you read the customer reviews on their website, and here and choose ones that are well liked and you will probably be very happy with what you get so long as you dont mind paying for things that you wont receive for a very long time. Im not sure whether I will order from Fyrinnae again, primarily because there are so many makeup companies out there and Im much too impatient to wait so long for my purchases. If they improve their service, even if it means paying a little more, I could easily be tempted back.

I have tried these shadows in all colors from the brights, to the neutrals, light to darks and I have been equally disappointed in all of them. Don't get me wrong, for the price some of the colors are absolutely stunning, however, In my opinion they do not compare to MAC pigments. The texture for one, is much "drier" is how I would describe them. They are very thin so the darker base in the color tends to stick and stand out and the shimmer seems to be mild at best. I hate to be in the minority in this, because I really like the company's philosophy and really love and use their mineral makeup, but I'm just not a fan of the the eyeshadow. I wanted to be and re-ordered many times, but in the end, I gave them away and did not enjoy them.

I think Fyrinnae e/s are much more complex, unique, and beautiful than MAC pigments. That said, they are completely different in style. MAC has lots of fillers and binders. Fyrinnae's doesn't have as much which allows them to have layers of color that give the e/s depth and uniqueness. While ALL brands have hits and misses, I must say that I have found more hits than misses and I have ordered many colors. Out of 70 or so colors I only found 2 that would be considered slightly chalky. Once I learned to pat on instead of swiping I have never had problems with fallout. And as for shimmer disappearing, well here are some pictures that show plenty of shimmer once on eyes.

MAC NW15 to 20, hazel/green eyes, medium brown hair with a little gray (LOL): Ugh, I can't believe I wasted money on buying samples of this crappy pigment eyeshdow. I'm no MAC groupie, but MAC's pigments far exceed these in quality. Fyrinnae's shadows are chalky and ugly, whether applied wet or dry. I like shimmery or sparkly eyeshadow, but the shimmers/sparkles in these disappear when applied dry *OR* wet, even with UDPP as a base; they just turn into chalky, murky, dull color, like poop on my eyelids. The only pluses were that the samples weren't too expensive, and they came in sample pots instead of baggies. All in all, I would absolutely *NEVER* buy this crap again!
