I love this serum. It's fairly costly, but only takes me one squirt, so it's not too bad. There is hardly any scent and it truly works wonders on my frizzy hair! It males my hair smooth and shiny, doesn't weigh hair down. It's a wonderful heat protector. My hair even looks good after blow-drying! Blow-drying usually gives me frizzies like mad but not with this product. Well worth the ten bucks I paid and I will be buying again. I hope they never discontinue this product!

I dont have a problem with frizz but I got this as a thermal protector. I love it. My hair is straight and fine so I was worried about an oil weighing my hair down. This product does not weigh it down at all! It keeps my damaged ends smooth. Awesome product.

This is a life saver. This is my holy grail hair product. I don't use heat protectant I know its bad and terrible for my hair because how much a straighten and curl it but I hate them, they make my hair oily and just make my hair heavy and feel nasty.. Then I saw this online and I was like hmm can it be.. an amazing hair serum for straight or curly hair and a heat protectant.. no it can't be but yes yes it is.. It makes my hair soft and about 99 percent less frizzy and really makes it shiny and my ends are amazing.. Its not heavy and greasy. a perfect hair product IMO

This product is amazing! The only heat protectant in a serum form that I have been able to find. What's so good about this product is that it doesn't give you crispy hair like the sprays can, it adds nourishment!
I stopped using it last year because I couldn't find it in the shops. Started using the L'Oreal Elvive serum and it was totally useless because it doesn't have heat protectant. My hair was so feral and snapping off even with Kerastase protein and moisture treatments every week.
So I called John Frieda and asked where I could get it and they were soooo lovely. They tracked down the few Priceline stores in Melbourne who carry it.
Now my hair has stopped snapping and it's really healthy. Such a relief.
FYI I have very highlighted blonde hair so it's always a little dry. But i use quite a lot of this and my hair is never greasy in the slightest. It just absorbs it and loves it.
Definitely try it!

I tried this after seeing it recommended in a magazine and can honestly say it works. Apart from weekends and days off from work, I pretty much always straighten my hair, but knowing how damaging this can be, I wanted a product that would help to alleviate some of the issues of doing this, like frizz, split ends and dryness.
Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Thermal does exactly that. A little goes a l-o-n-g way so you don't need loads (which is great because it lasts for ages) and I tend to put it on my hair (fine but very thick) when it's slightly damp and I'm just about to blow dry it. It leaves my hair feeling and looking amazing; very shiny, very smooth and the smell is lovely too.
My hairdresser was very impressed with the condition of my hair when I last went to see her. When I told her I'd been using this product, she seemed surprised that a store bought product could work so well, but I'm pretty certain this product is the main reason my hair is looking and feeling better. Highly recommend it!!

In my opinion, John Frieda has the best drugstore hair products. I have tried and continue to use many of their products, with the exception of the Brunette Shampoo/Conditioners. I don't remember purchasing the Frizz Ease Serum, but it's turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
I have hair extensions, and this serum takes away all of my frizz, makes my hair silky smooth, and adds tons of shine. From the moment I apply the serum, it soaks right into my hair. I only need one squirt, and I can comb through my wet or dry hair easily. For the amount of product you receive, I think this product is expensive, but much cheaper than purchasing BioSilk, which is what I used on my hair previously. I will definitely purchase this product again...

I can see this serum being a great product for those with THICK, unruly hair. However, I have fine, unruly hair and, although this serum does eliminate the frizz, it also flattens my hair, making it look limp and lifeless. Even if I use the tiniest of dabs, the outcome is still hopeless. Thus, my search for a smoothing serum for fine, wavy, frizzy hair continues.
Update: Have found a solution for my fine, frizzy hair: Aveda's Be Curly Style Prep. It gives my hair a real curl boost without the frizz or crunch.

(Before blow drying my hair)
I use it everyday in conjunction with my frizz cream (garnier frutis leave in conditioner) I take a little of the leave in, rub my hands together and put it through my hair, than I take two tiny squirts of the hair serum, rub my hands together and apply to my hair from my ears down *focusing more on the ends! I would buy again because, It lasts a long time while using it everyday and I also blow dry plus straighten or curl my hair everyday and its still healthy and shiny!

PROS: Excellent value for money because it lasts for ages, does help 'calm' my hair down, thermal protection is an added bonus, only need a tiny bit, pump and twist lock are helpful makes it easy to take out with you.
CONS: doesn't prevent hair from going frizzy, like I said it calms my hair down for a bit but after a few hours all my fly away hairs are going crazy again!!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Fair, Neutral Hair: Brunette, Medium Eyes: Brown
Switched to this from Chi Serum and I LOVE this! It makes my hair sooooo defrizzed and shiny, and works great with my flat iron!! I love this much better than the Chi Serum especially because of how AMAZING the dispensing pump is! It makes it so much easier to travel and there's less of a chance for spillage with it. Will definitely repurchase because I like this better than both Chi and BioSilk, and it's easier to access as well.
UPDATE: Far too greasy for my hair, I realized this after some time because I got breakouts wherever my hair landed. So now I'm looking for a protective straightening cream to leave in rather than a serum.

This isn't just going to be a review- it's gonna be a RAVE. I absolutely LOVE this serum!
When I first tried it, I was a bit confused. After I rubbed it through my soaking wet hair, as it air-dried (yeah, I didn't use it with heat though it's a "Thermal Protection" serum. I'm afraid of hot tools. Hehe), my hair seemed a bit... stringy? Crunchy? I can't really explain it, but it was along those lines. HOWEVER, after my hair finished drying, the results were phenomenal. Now, every time I use this product, my hair becomes a soft, smooth, shiny, frizz-free mane of curly-wurly silk that constantly gets compliments. I have natural highlights from virgin hair growing through old dark permanent dye, and this serum makes my them stand out and look like spun gold. Oh, and my hair looks FULLER somehow. My hair is the kind of hair that responds to product and I can definitely tell when one makes a difference, and this one makes my hair look even more full, bouncy and healthy. Not to mention the fragrance is phenomenal, and I'd love a lotion or something that smells just like it. Also, the packaging is cute and small, and the pump works well and has a lock feature.
Now, onto the cons... Only a couple. First, the amount of product for the price. $9.99 for 1.69 fl. oz.? Ridiculous. Worth it, but still ridiculous. Second, while other serums help speed up drying time a bit, this one extends drying time a smidge. That's only really a problem if I have somewhere to go, or need to walk out in the cold air.
I'll definitely repurchase this product. It's liquid gold, and makes my hair look wonderful.
Protip: My hair is thick, dry, long (a couple of inches past my bra strap), and curly. If you have this hair type, try out this serum! If you don't (i.e. thinner or finer hair), it may only work if you heat style. Either way, it's worth a shot.

Used this for years, pretty much use it every t I wash my hair! I can't use conditioner as my hair gets really greasy, so I use a little of this on the ends prior to blow drying to calm my frizz! Smells lovely and works really well!

This is one of my HG products I use just about everyday. It goes on smooth without feeling greasy when I use a drop or so on dry hair. But I definitely love it on my wet hair when I'm getting ready to dry it. I have super curly hair, and sometimes my hair will frizz when I'm drying it. But since using this product for about a year, I have not had that problem at all!

I'm in need of a creme or serum to tame my hair and give it some shine and live! After reading reviews of and comparing different products, on two websites. I finally found this one with the highest rating on both sites.
I just bought it today, and gave it a try right away. It really gave me a healthy shine and some weight (my hair tend to look poofy)! I was worried that it will make my hair oily, but to my surprise after putting it my hair, it was so light! And even my hands weren't oily after I put it on my hair. The scent is really subtle and fresh.
It is quite expensive to buy John Frieda products for drug store standard, esp in Canada. For that little bottle, it costed me $11.99 while on SALE!! But it is a really nice product. I guess that would help control not to overdoes on the serum!

I wash, dry and flat iron my hair every day. This stuff keeps my hair in check! It isn't heavy or greasy at all. It also smells great which is always a bonus. My hair type is fine, it's not thick at all but this still doesn't weigh it down. It just protects it from damage and keeps it soft and shiny. The packaing is good, it's a nice size for the price and one pump is the perfect amount. The top twists closed for travel. I will definitely repurchase.

Does a really great job on my hair! I'm less worried now whenever I use styling tools on my hair whenever I use this serum! Eliminates frizz--this product's REALLY great! The consistency is like oil and makes your hair soft!!
I guess my only complaint is that I don't like the packaging. It comes in a small bottle (so I run out of this pretty fast....) And when there's like a bit left in the bottle, I can't get it because the pump won't pick it up (so I have to unscrew the cap and get it out like that.....)But whatever, I don't really mind doing that..I just wished this came in a larger size..

I love the texture of this stuff, it´s like and oil but really light. My hair is long, thin and dry on the ends, and this products make it really smooth without feeling heavy. I also notice that it makes my hair dry faster when i´m using a blow dryer. The only cons is that here in Brasil John Frieda products are really expensive, like, it costs almost US$ 30,00 here. I bought mine at a free shop, so i'll have to travel again or buy it online. I refuse to pay our taxes, lol.

I am so surprised the reviews for this are higher than Biosilk Silk Therapy. I ran out of Biosilk on vacation and picked up some Frizz Ease instead. No comparison! This product didn't give my hair any shine or silkiness. I tried using a bit more the next time I styled and ended up with an oily mess.

I love most of John Frieda products, which says a lot because I'm picky with drugstore brands, and I think the only ones who compare to salon-grade are Aussie and John Frieda although stores like Walmart and chain drugstores like Walgreens and CVS carry salon brands now....anyways, I like the serum because it's my "go-to" along with Farouk Biosilk serum (which is pretty pricey, but worth it and the best out there)....anyways, love their serum because I have very fine, wavy/curly hair (but also very thick) that is naturally dry and gets a lot of dying, especially brown/black/auburn (naturally blonde) and often heat styling with flat irons....SO, I give it 5 star because it leaves hair soft, fixes frizz, can be used dry or wet, does not weigh hair down, or make it greasy and great for fine or delicate hair textures, and all of their frizz serums also give great heat protection. It's also fairly cheap compared to other frizz serums, and although I know silicone in products get a bad rap with people who have coarse/oily hair, it adds to the protection. Anyways, recommend this, especially for those with wavy, fine or chemically treated hair :)
